- Part 4 of Casey's Dad's Jeep Gladiator! The Jeep JT is done and we have it out at Moab for a complete breakdown. 42" Nitto Tires on 20" KMC Wheels, Currie Enterprises front and rear axles ( Currie Extreme 60 Front and Currie 70 Rear ) using Torco Oils, PSC steering, Fox Shocks with Rock Krawler Springs and Rock Jock 4x4 sway bars, Warn Winch, CRC front bumper , EVO Mfg. Rock Rails, A.D.D. rear bumper, a Magnaflow exhaust, Spicer Bolt-In Driveshaft and Baja Designs lights.

@@CaseyCurrie Hi Casey this is a off subject question. I ordered 70 axles on feb 15 2021 and some how the front is done but currie made my rear axle 68.5 it is going on 12 weeks for my axles can you help?

Absolutely love the 60/70 axle setup on this one. I hope Currie Enterprises will offer this same exact bolt-on axle set for the Jeep Gladiator JT.
We have a 70/70 combo 72 inch wide and a 70/70 at 70 inch wide turn key
How does it drive on the freeway on long trips. Looking to purchase one but not going that crazy with it. I drive on the freeway a lot and far.
Front bumper is awesome, do they make it with recovery ring attachment? Kudos on that build👍

I like both of your JT builds. I was running RockJocks & correct link on my old TJ years ago. I've got a Gladiator as well. One of the most vulnerable places due to the long wheel base I've found are the lower frame side control arm brackets. The trails I wheel at tend to have but rock cuts. I've also been wedged between rocks between the front, and receiver hitch. I ended up buying the SkidMark4x4 receiver skid plate. It makes a MUCH smoother transition. Maybe something to check out.
Now to business! I'm in the market for axles. tbh, I was looking at getting the Dynatrac XD60s or UD60s. UD60s are sock/near stock width. I'd like to go a bit wider. Any way to hook me up? Any idea how long the wait is? Any way to get a Currie in a hurry deal? ;)

Want to go 70 inch wide and we have our new HD series that are beefy and priced really good.
@@CaseyCurrie I can call when your office is open during the week. One question I had was does it have 1550 or 1480 joints still at the stub shafts? The width is totally fine. Really it's only like 1.5inchrs over Rubicon JT axles. Better scrub with less backspacing :)
What backspace are you running on the wheels for that axle/tire combo?
4.5 inch backspace.
This is a beautiful truck that orange and black pops amazing build. Gladiators on 40s are breaking front 60s. Will you be building a 70 for the front?
We have them now.
I know I'm late but regarding trimming the fenders, if you started with Rubicon high line fenders vs the sahara, you may not have even needed to trim them. Great build

Nice Jeep man ! What’s the bump stop situation looking like to be able to clear the 42’s ?
I added no additional bump stop for the 42s. It has same bump stops as the rock jock lift comes with
which do you like better for a daily and rock crawler 40's or 42's? do you have any comment regarding gas v. diesel?
Small is always better for a daily. My diesel is on 42s
I have a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon that needs more power! I am adding a 6.6 LX3 and It will be a daily driver with mild wheeling and towing (bass boat). Currently running 35's but will upgrade to 37 maybe 38's. Would you upgrade the transmission with swap to 8HP75 or keep stock Rubicon Transmission? No plans to add anymore horsepower after LX3 swap. Thanks

Does this have the 3.6 Liter v6? Or is it Diesel? What kind of fuel mileage does it get on highway?
It’s the v6 and gets about 14mpg

I was thinking the same thing.
It stops any ring gear deflection. As you move up to numerically higher ring gears you have a little less contact surface. That bolt ensure that when you're straining the ring gear, it stays in place by having it nearly against it.

How's the road manners on 42's?
Same as 37s and 40s.. they are great. I would let me wife drive it down the Hwy with my kids in the back while she is drinking coffee.

Awesome! And 42s will rub everywhere. It would take some trimming.

Sick build! Curious how wide from wheel face to wheel face? Also on KMC’s website it shows you can on get a 3.61” backspacing with the 20X10” grenade wheel. I saw on a different response you told someone the backspacing is 4.5”? Are they custom KMC’s for you guys?

My hobbies include reading used books and listening to music from my TV.
I sometimes go backpacking. (I use my old army gear).
This guys tires cost more than my entire hobby set.
I don’t know how you can even afford these vehicles
I had to buy a used ford Fiesta. And I can’t even get to the good places to start my backpacking trips.
