It's really too bad they kept the single impellor design. i can see these cavitate, and suck air when hopping slightly out of the water. that plagued most rc jetboats i've experienced over the years. question is do i buy it and replace the pump..... maybe.
also. a heads up for the people. these don't stop, and they don't turn off power. you basically have to flick it around at all times. you panic and you're in the weeds.

I think a complete redesign of a transmitter is long overdue. Something meant to be driven one handed. To be able to throttle, steer, rear steer, run a winch… All with one hand. Someone smarter than me who can think out of the box could make it work I’m sure. Would be a big seller.

Alright, here’s the idea: OpenTX surface radio, up to 16 fully user programmable channels, custom modes and mixing, scripts, telemetry for sensors, even an inclinometer. I want to take all the goodies the Scale Air and Boat guys have been hoarding for themselves and put them in a pistol-grip surface transmitter so the scalers can have all the details, lights, turn signals, winch controls, power windows and windshield wipers, just go nuts. Pair this with a modular drone-style electronics stack, it can be as simple or complex as you want it to be, and you have an overnight scale RC revolution.
The majority of people getting into the hobby just want simple though, not like anybody reads the instructions. For what it would cost the amount of returns would most likely not be that high
Oh, this is easy. Vanquish speed tip kit with the same style handle that you get on their tools currently. Right now, all the included handles in kits are pretty crap; if you want decent handles, then you have to buy a full kit of tools. I find that redundant, because I already have a bunch of really nice speed tips (mix of Traxxas and MIP); I just want a solid, quality handle to use them outside of a driver. Could even sell the handle separately.

I was going to say the same, been thinking about it for a while. A 2wd stadium truck with live rear axle for maximum tire lifting torque twist. The trick will be to keep the CG low enough so it doesn't end up on it's lid constantly while still looking accurate to the full scale trucks.
Tamiya had one way back in the day, if i remember correctly. I saw one at the fleamarket 3-4 months ago, all busted up, the plastic went brittle from all those years.
My ultimate RC job would be product demo. I would travel around the country to local hobby shops demonstrating new products. I am not sure what company would be the most fun. It would have to be a company with a wide range of different types of models like Horizon or possibly for AMain to their HobbyTown locations. What I would like to see is a full line up of American style fire apparatus. An engine, a ladder, a heavy rescue, an ambulance, and even a chief's suv. 1/14 scale or larger in kit form so customizing was possible. Of course with working lights, siren, ladders, accessories and water pumps. They probably be close to the 1:1 in price. LOL, but damn, who out there that plays with tiny trucks doesn't like playing fire too.
What year is it? TRAILERS!!! Or Carts depending on your perspective. If you are going hunting or fishing, wouldn't it be nice to carry your stuff on an RC? Got a ten point buck you need to haul, well you might need a Rovan Raminator. Family going to the beach? Is it better that the kids fight over the remote than no one wanting to pull the cart? We need to see these vehicles used as tools so they are more socially acceptable and I'm laughed at less for enjoying them. The power and battery capacity are here we just need the imagination now. I currently am in the design process to make a trailer for my monster truck because that thing breaks down all the time after the Max4 combo got installed. My current tow rig is an SCX6 with a fifth wheel hitch that pulls a fishing cart with 100lbs of gear and refreshments on ice.
For the jetboat- there is one glaring thing missing from it that I don't hear discussed yet...there is no *self righting* and that is a huge deal when it comes to a bashing boat... They would work great as one with this feature, that nearly all other RC Jetboats have, including Pro Boat's $89 Sprintjet!
A 6x6 Scania truck too haul a comp rig from the car to the track. And the Scania truck need a good trailer which you could store your spare parts, spare batteries, tools for your comp rig. Scale 1:10. I would buy one. The only option available today is the traxxas hauler, and build your own race trailer.
Man that jet boat is too cool! The one thing I would like to see blow up in the industry is more aluminum crawler bodies. There are some great options out there and don't want to take away from those companies, it would just be nice to see more people on the trails denting their rigs 🤘😎🤘
I already ordered the Proboat Shreddy Jet Boat. I'll probably get it before my Losi Promoto MX that I preordered on June 24 and still have not gotten an ETA. I see people getting them still but they're holding my money hostage. It's gotten ridiculous with no communication from Horison. They don't even respond to my emails. All we customers want is some communication and they can't give us that. "Rant Over" lol. I Look forward to the Jetboat. I have a small river with small rapids and eddies behind my house.

Like what losi has done with the baja rey Tube chassis drift car, rally car, and drag car. Full independent suspension, or ifs and solid rear. I think having that super scale and oerformence in those cars would be so cool. All the cars are the same. Buggy style chassis. Just seeing how you did the Porsche. It's do able. I think people would pay.
It'll be pricey but aluminum bodies that can be damaged just like in the real world. Metal masher does these amd and it seems easy but there's a lot of work involved for one person. Mini aluminum press machines could fast track that and add more strength with more metal weight. The vehicles will react more life like and can change the whole game.
A bluetooth enabled real-time gyroscopic telemetry unit that hooks up to any ESC...including graphical data for wheel slip, throttle and braking maps, speed, temps, steering angle...the whole lot! And then pair that with an on-the-fly adjustable diff, and we've got a million dollar idea! $500,000 for 5% of the company...or a Ripper for 50%...
I like to see a race oriented hauler bag that would be specific for air travel . Something tgat would maybe transfer over to crawler guys as well. More and more events are scattered about the USA and Canada that RC is more a airline traveling hobby

A losi 4wd shaft drive ,that is the same scale as the mini T 2.0 and mini B . Personally, the latrax prerunner and rally are racing trash . I miss my associated electrics 18t.

Cars, obviously...Planes...Crawlers are practically equal in scale vs 1:1...Boats, etc. I suppose the only market is gonna be nerds who find that stuff interesting and I even know a few people like this, but it is very niche...

1:16 and 1:10 scale LADA/VAZ 2106 drift car. For 1:16 scale I would choose the WPL IFS front and straights axle rear, just like the real thing...There is a huge appetite for these out in the RC world. Look at the WPL Ural and GAZ trucks that have been selling like hot cakes.
I've been seeing a lot of RC car pov shopping. So I'd suggest a all in one fpv long range(mobile SIM) receiver system so all of us, (without doing all to much research into this) order this from home and never leave home for whatever grocery's and just be lazy slobs 😋😂
The SR71 is a let down in my opinion. It has no rudder control, no retracts (based on price point, it's acceptable) and it appears to be anemic. It does have SAFE installed but it would not be for a beginner by any means. If it were a surface rc it would be a tamiya.
It’s 100’s of thousands to develop a new platform and years to do. To recoop the cost, you have to offer them in multiple ways to maximize the appeal to customers in order to make a project successful.
@HarleyDesignsInc I understand perfectly well how R&D works, but if we have the Trx 4 sport already and the long arm kit is available, wouldn't it be more logical to offer the sport with a special deal on the long arm and 2.2s( I say this with the understanding some people will never mod their trucks or may not have the ability to do so)Then to regurgitate the same line up of trucks as the high trail. I am sure the cost of changing production printing new boxes in larger sizes and ramping up the production of the other pieces probably adds to the time it takes to recoup the initial cost.... not to mention the environmental footprint of those efforts. At this point, it feels like GTA 5 on PS3 4 and 5 with no real changes
my shark tank idea is a RC skateboarder. Like a dude on a sk8board with some type of gyro in it. With all the skateparks across the country, i could see it being lots of fun.
1/6 or bigger, 60mph 6s Ripsaw type of tracked vehicle... Has to be durable and it wouldn't hurt to be amphibious 😊 the SR-71 is awesome but I sure as heck couldn't imagine trying to fly and all black RC... Let alone a fast one 😂. There's a reason most RC aircraft have really obnoxious color schemes. It's so you can tell which way you're going! up down left right etc. 😂
RCsaylors did a flight video of the SR-71 and yes it’s really impressive but almost impossible to work out which way it is going. It does include different colour tail strakes (but an SR with a red tail- nah!) When I was at the RAF Fairford show in the late 80’s they flew a real one past the crowd 200ft above the runway at 400? Mph jeez it was loud 😵

Hey Josh I honestly propose that you release maybe 2 snu a week. It's the best idea that a lot of us would agree on. That jet boat is getting pre-ordered. Yeah not really a huge fan of plains, I've had this cheap Walmart one for almost 2 years now and finally dropped money on a real one from amain hobbies. Well 15 seconds later I'm back to my cheap Walmart plain. I found out the expensive way that I really can't fly. I am using a radiomaster tx16s with openTX for my earthmovers. It's so configurable, love it - but I prefer sticks, so it's easy for me to say!

Look for MultiPlex Amphi. Made together with Tamiya. There was a truck also, and even Nikko had one. There are several videos on TH-cam apparently.

Machined steel axle housings, that come with a bunch of pre built suspension mounts that you can braze to the housing for custom geometry
F10 axles in all the variants for 1/18 and or 1/24 scale along with link kits

Is anyone else tired of being fed the same trucks over and over with just a different body or slightly different body
It’s 100’s of thousands to develop a new platform and years to do. To recoop the cost, you have to offer them in multiple ways to maximize the appeal to customers in order to make a project successful.
@HarleyDesignsInc I understand perfectly well how R&D works, but if we have the Trx 4 sport already and the long arm kit is available, wouldn't it be more logical to offer the sport with a special deal on the long arm and 2.2s( I say this with the understanding some people will never mod their trucks or may not have the ability to do so)Then to regurgitate the same line up of trucks as the high trail. I am sure the cost of changing production printing new boxes in larger sizes and ramping up the production of the other pieces probably adds to the time it takes to recoup the initial cost.... not to mention the environmental footprint of those efforts. At this point, it feels like GTA 5 on PS3 4 and 5 with no real changes

my shark tank idea is a RC skateboarder. Like a dude on a sk8board with some type of gyro in it. With all the skateparks across the country, i could see it being lots of fun.
Mirrored transmission, motor for each axle that operates each axle independently with their own motor/esc. Basically a robot that can run class 2 or 3
I think a product that will make it huge in the rc industry is a gyro from the pro mx into a crawler

The jet boats are pretty tempting have to say
1/6 or bigger, 60mph 6s Ripsaw type of tracked vehicle... Has to be durable and it wouldn't hurt to be amphibious 😊 the SR-71 is awesome but I sure as heck couldn't imagine trying to fly and all black RC... Let alone a fast one 😂. There's a reason most RC aircraft have really obnoxious color schemes. It's so you can tell which way you're going! up down left right etc. 😂
RCsaylors did a flight video of the SR-71 and yes it’s really impressive but almost impossible to work out which way it is going. It does include different colour tail strakes (but an SR with a red tail- nah!) When I was at the RAF Fairford show in the late 80’s they flew a real one past the crowd 200ft above the runway at 400? Mph jeez it was loud 😵

I can appreciate your enthusiasm for the things you want to include in the news. That said, I don’t believe a jet boat should be included in the RTR count. I’d propose it limited to wheeled vehicles. Pro moto counts, jet boat does not. PS - I don’t like your videos. 😂

I think the mini high trail is not quite as obvious as the bigger ones, I really want to get one for the body, also tyres look nice.

Hey Josh I honestly propose that you release maybe 2 snu a week. It's the best idea that a lot of us would agree on. That jet boat is getting pre-ordered. Yeah not really a huge fan of plains, I've had this cheap Walmart one for almost 2 years now and finally dropped money on a real one from amain hobbies. Well 15 seconds later I'm back to my cheap Walmart plain. I found out the expensive way that I really can't fly. Can't wait to see the jet boat up close, looks like it should of came out at the beginning of summer. Awesome video Josh, keep up the awesome videos and work.
