I saw them live in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago... I liked them going into the concert and I LOVE them now! They have awesome stage presence, and then lead singer crowd surfed, managed to stand while crowd surfing and kept singing... literally the coolest thing I've ever seen. Sorry for the long post, now I'm just going to shut up and dance.
"A captain without a ship, A chief without a tribe, A raging megalomaniac who only speaks to hear his cheeks slapping together and to worship the sound of his own voice." Favorite song of the album because of this verse.
saw them back in '11 (vegas, the Chelsea) when they open'd for the blk keys..... instantly became one of my fav LiVE bands. missd the in vegas earlier this year (w Grouplove) but they in Albuquerque tonight - thinkn of driving the 3 hrs to catch the show...... :^)
I don't think I have seen a live recording where Matt doesn't sprint around the crowd with 100 ft of cord dragging behind him. It added to the quality of his singing, but it was a little dull. I love these guys so much, it is so weird without Lincoln now.
i went to see them in toronto a few weeks ago and it was the best show i have ever seen. the Singer really new how to keep the crowd hyped and crowd surfd many times. it was my second time seeing them and the first i saw them in 2011 and it was ok. the singer has really improved his signing since 2011. if you have the chance go see them.
He seems like he sings better! That's what has been pushing me away a little bit from seeing them live You can tell he's trying to dying better because he plugs his left ear to hear himself sing
I saw them earlier this December and they were such good performers. They were the last performers at the show and Matt was sufficiently drunk. He crowd surfed twice, did a handstand in the crowd, and stood straight up and sang in the crowd. Matt dances around the entire show and everyone in the crowd had a blast.
*Holds mike over crowd people sing so softly you cant hear them* Me: Wtf yo. Weak audience but amazing performance, shake me down wasnt quite up to par compared to the studio version but shit no live performance is perfect thats as good as youre gonna get.
I was there and the room is tiny, also the crowd is lame because by the time they let the fans in the front is already occupied with "VIPs" and photographers 😢 so the fans that were waiting outside for hours get stuck in the back... They were awesome though, they even took time afterwards to meet fans and have conversations with them like I've never seen any other band do before ☺️ it was surreal
William Rehbock True. I saw them for the first time at Firefly this year without having heard of them, but I still was jumping and going crazy without knowing any of the songs. They sound great and have crazy energy. I've been hooked ever since.
THEBIGWIG bigwig They show real growth as a band in this album, and they distanced themselves from their old sound and any influences. You really should try listening to it some more and even reading up on it, this should be anyone's favorite Cage album.
The lead guitarist is the best part of this band. Damn good stuff.
I can feel it in my teeth...AND ITS CRAAAAAAAZZZY!! And its driving me CRAAAAAZZZY how these people are not raging!!!
The bassist fell and still played perfectly. What an absolute champion.
POND should tour with Cage. That would be awesome!
Jon Doe, the drummer is an absolute champion.

Back against the wall is sick!!! He fell and kept going. straight BAMF!!!
Matt Schultz feels the fucking music. holy hell.
I know right
Matt's vocals in "Teeth" are just amazing
It looks like it would be fun to see these guys live. Good music, good stage presence. (:
the best band I've heard in 2000´s....!!!! Excellent...!!!!!

Fucking love Matt.
Spiderhead, Teeth, and Come A Little Closer... This album is going to rule!
thanks for posting this. god bless you!
So glad they're doing a free show in May in Raleigh, NC
360p??)) I forgot all sweet things that happened to me... different life

amaze balls
I was the chick that gave him the letter, best performance ever. Can't wait for their album to come out

aw wow thank you so much
Oh and they have an amazing drummer
mediocre drummer
I like the set! Its not just one album represented! Its like a greatest hits ep setlist!!
Wish they did Halo. Have yet to find a good recording of that track live.
they are like second Rolling Stones
how can these ppl stand there an not go crazy over all the awesomeness? wtf
background vocals sound like hell on the ears god damn matt does his job fine leave it to him
I need some live footage of the other album tracks
Matt is fucking crazy, I love him
Great band.......
Daniel (the bassist) fell over he made it seem like he meant to do it, like "don't touch me peasant I meant to do that"
brilliantly
I love the song teeth. It's a little humorous, well it made me laugh
What the hell is Matt doing in teeth xD I love his dancing!
awesome
He seems like he sings better!
That's what has been pushing me away a little bit from seeing them live
You can tell he's trying to dying better because he plugs his left ear to hear himself sing
I am the one you left for dead........love it.
Contemplating whether I should buy tickets for February. Any help?

If you haven't bought the tickets yet, buy them. One of the best shows I've ever seen (and I've seen many shows).
I fucking love them sooo much
I know this album is gonna be the shit...I can feel it in my teeth.
LINCOLN.
Matt's stage presence is amazing.
Best band.
7:17 didn't miss a note
Wow they play in my city but I can't see them they sold out
they absolutely rocked teeth
ARGH! These guys! :'D
If I were there I'll be jumping by their side!
You thought so? His voice has its off days, but I thought it sounded really good here.
Matt looks like a young iggy pop, love him.
Cage the Elephant are like a 90's revival Neil Young, and there ain't nothin' wrong with a 90's revival Neil Young!
lol such an unmotivated crowd for such an energetic band! you need new fans
Seriously who is the session musician playing with them. Fan of the band but not really sure what's going on there
Does anyone else hear some Arcade Fire-like piano and things? I sure do. And I like it.
they were fucking amazing at buzzfest. tore it up
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO underrated... :/
[but so ***** good]
Daniel Serpas Not underrated at all, everyone LOVES them, they're the best.
Shake me down sounded the closest to as it does in the album, I love this band it's the only good band that can play live
This band has a really big Rolling Stones sound them I just noticed O.o
whos the dude on the side playing piano and guitar?
who's the guitarist who is off-stage? is he toruing with them this album or something?
hehe, brilliant:D
What did the letter say? Or is it a secret?
Why would an entire crowd choose to take Nyquil before such an awesome set? At least they filmed it for the rest of us!
Did Daniel fall off the stage? XD
!!!
* In Spiderhead
Matt reminds me of Mick Jagger on Teeth.
the poor guy on keyboard doesn't get to have fun with his friends on the big stage...
and if you notice he's signing every note matt is singing as well...very odd...like live artifical double tracking.
@@babyswithrabies when I saw these guys matthan has the same vocal range as Matt
Matt's fucking awesome... Not the best singer, but his energy more than makes up for it.
2019 anyone?
I'm liking 6:56 to 7:47
that was all of it? Oh, man...
they dont want them going crazy cuz its such a small venue.. theyre weird like that
jajaja y daniel se cae xD TODA LA ACTITUD
7:17
dear LA... you can put your fucking phones away and watch it with your eyes you are 10 feet away.
annnd that's how u do it
*Holds mike over crowd people sing so softly you cant hear them* Me: Wtf yo. Weak audience but amazing performance, shake me down wasnt quite up to par compared to the studio version but shit no live performance is perfect thats as good as youre gonna get.

These guys are all tripping sack
lucky..
The band is amazing but the crowd sucks so bad.

You're gorgeous. Just thought i'd inform of that lovely fact.
Lol 666 likes
lame crowd
This crowd is pathetic
the new album sucks, their first was so good
the new album sucks? uhm...uh...maybe music isn't your thing pal? You should try sewing or something
just saying, compared to their first it's crap, sorry my opinion isn't exactly the same as yours or whatever you're on about
THEBIGWIG bigwig

I just prefer the raw and cool sound of the first one, I just don't like how weird and abstract the latest one is.
I love their new album. To say you don't like it and to say it sucks are two different things. You may not like it, but by no means does it suck.
That crowd sucks.
weak as audience though
worst crowd ever...
