Really making that Gamut sing! I'm having so much fun with it and feel like I get way more time to interact with my other modules when it's really on a roll
I agree - it frees up a lot of my time to explore because it is so easy to dial up a melody - multiple melodies in fact. Although I have a lot of written melodies I need to get back to, Gamut just keeps on giving! it really does help the creative process move along which is so helpful.
Rings is so cool wish there was a way to use it without emptying my bank account on a modular setup. Ive tried the modular VST and even had a rings program on the organelle but nothing beats the real thing
I started out with some cheaper clones about 5 years ago. My first Rings was a nano 8hp rings. You can probably find a used rings clone for a lot less than what the original ones come at now that they are discontinued. I like the tactile feeling of a full size, but to start it isn't bad getting a cheaper 8hp version. They are easy to resell too. The clones are just copies of the originals anyhow. All you need is a small powered case and some sort of output modules to reduce to line levels. You can get away with some fun sounds just with rings alone. Then slowly build up a bit for modulation if needed. I am guilty of just loving Rings in its natural output - I need to modulate more but get distracted with moving to other sounds once I have a set sound in Rings. For effects - a small delay/reverb module or you can also just use pedals as well. Rings is also great because it has a trigger input. You can literally just use a key step or something external that sends pitch and gates and play Rings externally!
Your module choice selection is 👌 Sweet melody 👍
Thanks!
Sounds so nice!
Love the way it really gets going about 1:25 in. Great stuff.. 😊

@@foxendeavor Thanks for the advice, rings + keystep through some diy pedals has been my plan for a while might have to just pull the trigger on it.
@ Rings is a modular gateway drug!! 😹
