I'm actually really glad that Chen Zhuoxuan spoke up about the sponsorships. Ever since the show aired, she's consistently been in 2nd, yet I've always noticed that they barely give her attention. I would've thought they'd have at least focused on her more considering she came with a pretty strong fanbase, but I'm glad she's noticed and said something about it. The way she said it was very direct, but screentime and ads are such an important part in the show. They give the trainees exposure to the public, and without that exposure they would go unnoticed. I think she's really brave for standing up for herself and questioning the producers because it's a competition, after all. All the trainees deserve to star in an ad and have as much screentime as the others. But it already seems like the producers have a certain lineup they're trying to push.
I guess most commercials were shot before the competition. Girls were selected based on the sponsors' own research. They might not know the true potential of some specific girls back then but I am sure they will adjust that and add in more girls.
@@colettele7376 if this is how they picked trainees for the ads, I still don't get why they wouldn't give at least one to CZX. She has practically a majority of fans from The Untamed voting for her, and I saw a lot of excitement generating when she was announced as a contestant. I guess the ads wouldn't matter in terms of swaying the audience into voting for a certain trainee, but either way she and the other contestants deserve to be given the same treatment as the other. My biggest problem with the whole show is more the unfair screen time. It's guaranteed in survival shows, but it makes the least sense to do it with one of the more popular trainees. Not to mention the producers seem to be pushing more of a rivalry between Curley and Nene?? The way they revealed rankings for the top 10 really didn't make sense to me. Either way, it seems like they're gonna give screen time to CZX in terms of evil editing lmao.
Some fake things happened on chen zhuo xuan, like at 39:00 two girls talking other member is good and hard, but the TV put this in chen's part.... chen she should be shut down , she made people uncomfortable 🤮🤮🤮
I'm so glad Sun Ruyun came back. She improves so quickly and shows so much care and support for those around her. She always smiles even when struggling so others can feel happy. She's really responsible from the way she stuck up for her team members in the last episode. I think she has great leader energy. Plus, much respect for Chen Zhuoxuan. She speaks like a winner, I love it.
Ikr. I didn't really care about her much until how I saw how she would take the blame for her team. After I decided to look with clips that had her in it (weren't many) and she always seems cheerful and funny, and somewhat unladylike. And Chen Zhouxuan I've grown a hella lot of respect for cuz of this episode , I hope her determination will get to others so they'll out in their all. Xiening: For 5 long years I couldn't sleep comfortably. I was about to give up but I saw a comment saying "Don't give up! We'll be waiting for you!" And so I decided to keep going that's why I decided to join this program! That was a rough summary as I couldn't completely remember what she said. But when I said I cried like a baby because it hit so close to home I mean it. Respect to you Xiening I'm so proud you never gave up
I LOVED Chen zhouxuans energy she said everything respectfully and asked politely which was a very valid question.. there is a clear bias and she wants to know why she hasn’t gotten any commercial time since she’s literally top 2 even though I can see this going downhill tho bc Chinese netz are quick to turn. I really love Curley, her attitude is so positive and just so joyful and she just deserves that number 1 spot frfr, I also like wang ke and feifei but I don’t think feifei will be making it further with the way people are trying their best to vote against her ngl and also tian was robbed with her ranking she’s what makes this show hilarious :( I’m just gonna continue rooting for them for the time being.
I really love Zhuoxuan for speaking up and defending herself. People are saying she is arrogant but I don’t understand how, almost everyone in the top 10 said they wanted number one. Other girls also spoke about being unhappy with their place even though they ranked pretty high. As one of the mentor chosen top vocals, I would say she has the skills to back up her ambition. She literally said she wanted everyone to do her best and that she would too. Having professionals as your goal isn’t a bad thing and it’s obvious she cares about other girls on the show. You don’t have to like her because not everyone likes a personality like her but I don’t understand the hate she’s getting other places.
But the difference is she said she doesn’t see the other trainees as competition. They’re not on her level, in her opinion. Her competition would be people like Tao, Luhan, Victoria. She called tao ‘childish’ when he joked about her rank and then she proceeds to call out the shows sponsors for not giving her ads.. she said so much in just this one episode that I’m 🤯

Like Curley Gao said, their goal is to stand next to the mentors one day, not just admire them from afar. It makes sense because while the other trainees are fierce competition, they're still only trainees and have a ways to go.
Adriane D she should’ve just kept it at “she wants to be compared to the mentors” instead of mentioning the other trainees.. the other trainees have a long way to go but so does she. If she does make it to the final lineup, there’s going to be other girls who’ll debut with her as well. By then does she expect herself to be the only one to debut? Since she hopes that she’ll only be compared to people who’s debuted, that’s her goal.

I agree that mentioning the other trainees sounds like she's dismissing them, but the point of her statement was that everyone should be comparing themselves to professional singers because that way you're always pushing yourself. Her goal is to debut in the group at #1 no matter what, and you can tell she's not really in this to make best friends. Like you said though, that can be damaging if she debuts and isn't close to the other girls in the lineup. In the end, it's because her words were very straightforward and tactless that the audience is divided on her. I'm sure other trainees are thinking the same thing though, no one was just brave enough to voice it. Same thing with her statement on getting no ads from the sponsors.
I did not really pay attention to Chen zhuoxuan a lot before this episode but i really like her now. I don’t think she’s being arrogant at all she’s just one of the very few brave people and she actually expresses her true thoughts and like tao said, I’m sure many many others have similar thoughts but are too scared to speak up! I really admire her for this!

Chen Zhouxuan did the right thing. All her comments made in her speech may sound rude but once again this is a competition after all. Being brave, blunt, and a bit selfish is what gets there especially in a competition like this. She puts all her focus into getting the center place rather then socializing with others. And she chooses wisely in her decisions. I feel like she has her own ways to get to number 1. I personally have a feeling she might be ranked #1 later on in this show.
I really really like her too but because of her speech she is now the most hated trainee among the girls fandom. She was hated by casual Cnetz too for being 'rude' to mentors (to be fair we Hailangs (Tao fandom) do NOT see her as rude and we made that clear). I just really hope her fandom stay strong. while i agree that her mindset and really brave and admirable and definitely matches the theme of the show, not to mention she is extremely talented and skilled, in the long run this is supposed to be a girl group. they way she is making curley uncomfortable and acting so competitively against the other top people (who she will probably end up in a group with) will definitely shorten the time the group will stay together. she just doesn't seem like a team player. i would definitely support her if this was for solo artists, but it isn't. :/

It was always obvious that Chen Zhuoxuan had heaps and heaps of talent and a clear head on her shoulders. Today, she also demonstrated that she has GUTS in equal measure. I will support her more from here on!
I don't have a problem with trainees being ambitious about their goals, but I also think it's important to keep in mind that the purpose of this competition is not to pick a solo artist but to form a girl group that will be together for I believe a 2 year+ contract? so there's an element of understanding teamwork and cooperation that needs to go into being ambitious as well... for example, i thought it was obvious from the miss chic performance that while everyone was talented, there was not enough cohesion....
Exactly, dedication to their group, teamwork and trust is not build within 6 months. Idols groups in Korea are usually trained for years together before debuting. They have a strong bond. Even with solo activities, they're still like a family. That kind of group can not be produced under such reality shows.
Ya I agree for the ms. Chic one in particular, although everyone was extremely talented, some ppl in the group were jealous of the center which is understandable, but some even went as far as thinking that she didn’t deserve the spot..:
Chen Zhouxuan looked kinda passive aggressive to me when it came for her to know the ranking of Curley Gao and it wasn't out of friendship it was because she wanted to beat her but what if they end up debuting....the awkwardness in the group will surely show. hearing Xiening talk about her struggles was absolutely heartbreaking. She’s been through so much with Jellyfish and gugudan. They didn’t work on managing their idols properly so they didn’t get to show their talent & hard work :(( I’m glad that she’s not giving up & I’m rooting for her always & forever ❤️❤️
Jellyfish is really terrible in handling their only girl group. they barely have schedule together or promotion. i mean their last comeback was 2018. no wonder she kind of lost herself, without any schedule.
I don't know why but when i look at curley, nene, feifei and wang ke they just seem so genuine to me. They have that spark in their eyes that some trainees lost almost (not to bash them)

I really appreciate how Nene spoke up from her gut feeling. This competition is really hard for her because she just learned Chinese language before joining. Actually, Nene got many things to tell her supporters but it quite hard for her to tell all the things in Chinese language, but I think all of her fans can see how hard that she has worked out. IMO She’s really digging her own grave. She’s getting so much criticism from Chinese netz right now. Especially since she also said she doesn’t consider the other 109 trainees as her competitors. She said only the people who’s already debuted are worthy to be her competitors, that is including tao luhan Victoria. Their faces were so shocked it was funny 😆 Anyways, Chinese netz mentioned how during the previous episodes she didn’t choose to learn their theme song choreo within a day and yet shes so confident she’s better than everyone else. ok but other than the part in her speech calling tencent out for their blatant bias (which we saw sooo clearly in pd101 china s1 too...), chen zhuo xuan is also right that she DESERVES her spot. true, she started with some fanbase from the untamed drama, but it's not like she was a major role, plus other trainees came in with even bigger fanbases - people aren't just blindly voting for her because of the untamed. she's a top 3 vocalist, works hard to dance sharply with great expressions, is well spoken and genuinely speaks her mind, and so cute & pretty. with just a little bit of screentime and barely any lines in the first performance, she still gained a lot of real fans who love her for her talent. To be honest I wasnt a huge fan of Chen Zhuoxuan at first. I did watch The Untamed but her character really wasnt that memorable to me and her voice wasn't my favourite type as well. However, her attitude is exactly what I liked and she is very much how I want to be. Confident, knows what she should and should not do and approaches everything with a fair head and a clear tactic. She knows where her capabilities and limits are, and from these episodes I definitely love her a lot. If only I can have 3 picks... I would love to pick Ma Sihui as well. I still remember her from the first performance and she did so well in it! I also really want to vote for Liu Nian. She seems to be slowly loosing confidence. I really like Feifei and I believe she deserves a better ranking than she has now...I've said it before and I'll say it again, I downloaded the app solely for Feifei❤❤😊 because after watching her interactions with the other girls on the show,I can tell she's genuinely a beautiful soul💙💙. I really like her and I hope she debuts because I can really see her team spirit compared to others who seem to have come to win the whole show and debut as solo artist (not to bash anyone).🤗

Yifan, Zhenni, Tian Jingfan, Nene, Sally, Liu Meng got most. Joyce, Yiyang, Zhaoyue, Sun Ruyun, Wang Yijin followed suit. Curley should be around Top 15 but NOT Top 10 screentime. She also have 0 CFs despite being #1. There is a list for that too. Fandoms keep count don't you know. Nene got 0 as well cuz she got casted late and they already film CFs by then and she can't speak chinese yet. Let's only stick w/ REAL records.

Negin Nasiri it was well known. She was rumored to debut many times. She appeared on SM Rookie. Tao signed with her after she parted way with SM, he prob knew her from trainee times and SM wont debut her so she had a better chance here

The girls in SM Rookies was suppose to debut as new girlgroup in 2017-2018 but apparently in 2018 SM announce they are not debuting the girlgroup after all and postpone their new girlgroup debut indefinity hence a lot of female SM Rookies left in 2018 including Yiyang. According to Yiyang open letter in Weibo she said she met Tao accidentally in summer of 2018 and Tao apparently gave her strength & good advice then which gave her the bravely to finally leave SM & sign in his company.

Tian Jingfan doesn't have big fandom in China at all. She was on some fandoms 7 pick cuz she's close with their bias and they have 6 extra votes anyway as it's 7 pick. The only time she even trended is when Tao had a funny moment w/ her. I do like her a lot but we can only vote for 2 picks now so... we have our own favorites too. If we can vote per ranking then she'd be in my Top 20 for sure but we can only vote 2 people now so you can only vote your 2 utmost favorite.

I think people love her but a lot of contestants were already famous before this show while she is completely a rookie, her company is extremely strategic, each of them represents a specific type and everyone is talented. I am so surprise when I see people criticizing Chen Zhuoxuan in Weibo/other web because of her talk about sponsorship. It might due to Chinese culture, since they really emphasized the importance of being humble (people tend to hide their ambitions). But I absolutely loved her personality ❤️! There is nothing wrong to stand up and speak for yourself! She did something that was very very brave ! Just showing my support for her (陈卓璇小姐姐性格也太酷了！小姐姐加油！！！！）
To me Li Zimeng deserves more, she's good at dancing her voice is very smooth her expression in the performances also perfect yet she get so low voting... She also doesn't have a lot of screen time along with Zhong Feifei.
Agreed! She stood out to me as one of the best dancers in the show (it's really professional idol level) and I was surprised she's not more highlighted in the show.

For those people who don't understand why Chen zhuoxuan did not get a lot of commercials, here is the reason, in China, apart from WeTV, there are extra ranking systems, people who bought the yogurt, tooth paste or other product from commercial sponsors in this program can vote their trianees in seperate ranking system, Chen zhuoxuan's ranking is outside top 20, Zhao yue is the top at almost all ranking systems except WeTV, in other words, her fans would like to spend more money over Chen zhuoxuan's fans, so you can see a lot of Zhao yue's commercial in the program. Actually, Chen zhuoxuan did get some commercials you can find them in previous episodes.

I'm actually really glad that Chen Zhuoxuan spoke up about the sponsorships. Ever since the show aired, she's consistently been in 2nd, yet I've always noticed that they barely give her attention. I would've thought they'd have at least focused on her more considering she came with a pretty strong fanbase, but I'm glad she's noticed and said something about it. The way she said it was very direct, but screentime and ads are such an important part in the show. They give the trainees exposure to the public, and without that exposure they would go unnoticed. I think she's really brave for standing up for herself and questioning the producers because it's a competition, after all. All the trainees deserve to star in an ad and have as much screentime as the others. But it already seems like the producers have a certain lineup they're trying to push.
I guess most commercials were shot before the competition. Girls were selected based on the sponsors' own research. They might not know the true potential of some specific girls back then but I am sure they will adjust that and add in more girls.
Is that a possibility that the company, the management she is working, is a deciding factor for sponsorship and negotiation?
@@colettele7376 if this is how they picked trainees for the ads, I still don't get why they wouldn't give at least one to CZX. She has practically a majority of fans from The Untamed voting for her, and I saw a lot of excitement generating when she was announced as a contestant. I guess the ads wouldn't matter in terms of swaying the audience into voting for a certain trainee, but either way she and the other contestants deserve to be given the same treatment as the other.
My biggest problem with the whole show is more the unfair screen time. It's guaranteed in survival shows, but it makes the least sense to do it with one of the more popular trainees. Not to mention the producers seem to be pushing more of a rivalry between Curley and Nene?? The way they revealed rankings for the top 10 really didn't make sense to me. Either way, it seems like they're gonna give screen time to CZX in terms of evil editing lmao.
Some fake things happened on chen zhuo xuan, like at 39:00 two girls talking other member is good and hard, but the TV put this in chen's part.... chen she should be shut down , she made people uncomfortable 🤮🤮🤮

I'm so glad Sun Ruyun came back. She improves so quickly and shows so much care and support for those around her. She always smiles even when struggling so others can feel happy. She's really responsible from the way she stuck up for her team members in the last episode. I think she has great leader energy.

Ikr. I didn't really care about her much until how I saw how she would take the blame for her team. After I decided to look with clips that had her in it (weren't many) and she always seems cheerful and funny, and somewhat unladylike. And Chen Zhouxuan I've grown a hella lot of respect for cuz of this episode , I hope her determination will get to others so they'll out in their all. I LOVED Chen zhouxuans energy she said everything respectfully and asked politely which was a very valid question.. there is a clear bias and she wants to know why she hasn’t gotten any commercial time since she’s literally top 2 even though I can see this going downhill tho bc Chinese netz are quick to turn. I really love Curley, her attitude is so positive and just so joyful and she just deserves that number 1 spot frfr, I also like wang ke and feifei but I don’t think feifei will be making it further with the way people are trying their best to vote against her ngl and also tian was robbed with her ranking she’s what makes this show hilarious :( I’m just gonna continue rooting for them for the time being.
I really love Zhuoxuan for speaking up and defending herself. People are saying she is arrogant but I don’t understand how, almost everyone in the top 10 said they wanted number one. Other girls also spoke about being unhappy with their place even though they ranked pretty high. As one of the mentor chosen top vocals, I would say she has the skills to back up her ambition. She literally said she wanted everyone to do her best and that she would too. Having professionals as your goal isn’t a bad thing and it’s obvious she cares about other girls on the show. You don’t have to like her because not everyone likes a personality like her but I don’t understand the hate she’s getting other places.
But the difference is she said she doesn’t see the other trainees as competition. They’re not on her level, in her opinion. Her competition would be people like Tao, Luhan, Victoria. She called tao ‘childish’ when he joked about her rank and then she proceeds to call out the shows sponsors for not giving her ads.. she said so much in just this one episode that I’m 🤯

Like Curley Gao said, their goal is to stand next to the mentors one day, not just admire them from afar. It makes sense because while the other trainees are fierce competition, they're still only trainees and have a ways to go.
Adriane D she should’ve just kept it at “she wants to be compared to the mentors” instead of mentioning the other trainees.. the other trainees have a long way to go but so does she. If she does make it to the final lineup, there’s going to be other girls who’ll debut with her as well. By then does she expect herself to be the only one to debut? Since she hopes that she’ll only be compared to people who’s debuted, that’s her goal.

Like you said though, that can be damaging if she debuts and isn't close to the other girls in the lineup.

I did not really pay attention to Chen zhuoxuan a lot before this episode but i really like her now. I don’t think she’s being arrogant at all she’s just one of the very few brave people and she actually expresses her true thoughts and like tao said, I’m sure many many others have similar thoughts but are too scared to speak up! I really admire her for this!

Chen Zhouxuan did the right thing. All her comments made in her speech may sound rude but once again this is a competition after all. Being brave, blunt, and a bit selfish is what gets there especially in a competition like this. She puts all her focus into getting the center place rather then socializing with others. And she chooses wisely in her decisions. I feel like she has her own ways to get to number 1. I personally have a feeling she might be ranked #1 later on in this show.
I really really like her too but because of her speech she is now the most hated trainee among the girls fandom. She was hated by casual Cnetz too for being 'rude' to mentors (to be fair we Hailangs (Tao fandom) do NOT see her as rude and we made that clear). I just really hope her fandom stay strong. I am voting her now as one of my 2 Picks (alongside my 1-pick Curley) cuz i really really want her to stay in Top 3 atleast. I am nervous for her. She's really hated now. while i agree that her mindset and really brave and admirable and definitely matches the theme of the show, not to mention she is extremely talented and skilled, in the long run this is supposed to be a girl group. they way she is making curley uncomfortable and acting so competitively against the other top people (who she will probably end up in a group with) will definitely shorten the time the group will stay together. she just doesn't seem like a team player. i would definitely support her if this was for solo artists, but it isn't. :/

I don't have a problem with trainees being ambitious about their goals, but I also think it's important to keep in mind that the purpose of this competition is not to pick a solo artist but to form a girl group that will be together for I believe a 2 year+ contract? so there's an element of understanding teamwork and cooperation that needs to go into being ambitious as well... for example, i thought it was obvious from the miss chic performance that while everyone was talented, there was not enough cohesion....
Exactly, dedication to their group, teamwork and trust is not build within 6 months. Idols groups in Korea are usually trained for years together before debuting. They have a strong bond. Even with solo activities, they're still like a family. That kind of group can not be produced under such reality shows.
Ya I agree for the ms. Chic one in particular, although everyone was extremely talented, some ppl in the group were jealous of the center which is understandable, but some even went as far as thinking that she didn’t deserve the spot..:

hearing Xiening talk about her struggles was absolutely heartbreaking. She’s been through so much with Jellyfish and gugudan. They didn’t work on managing their idols properly so they didn’t get to show their talent & hard work :(( I’m glad that she’s not giving up & I’m rooting for her always & forever ❤️❤️
Jellyfish is really terrible in handling their only girl group. they barely have schedule together or promotion. i mean their last comeback was 2018. no wonder she kind of lost herself, without any schedule.

I really appreciate how Nene spoke up from her gut feeling. This competition is really hard for her because she just learned Chinese language before joining. Actually, Nene got many things to tell her supporters but it quite hard for her to tell all the things in Chinese language, but I think all of her fans can see how hard that she has worked out. ok but other than the part in her speech calling tencent out for their blatant bias (which we saw sooo clearly in pd101 china s1 too...), chen zhuo xuan is also right that she DESERVES her spot. true, she started with some fanbase from the untamed drama, but it's not like she was a major role, plus other trainees came in with even bigger fanbases - people aren't just blindly voting for her because of the untamed. she's a top 3 vocalist, works hard to dance sharply with great expressions, is well spoken and genuinely speaks her mind, and so cute & pretty. with just a little bit of screentime and barely any lines in the first performance, she still gained a lot of real fans who love her for her talent. ANYWAY, tencent better give her more screentime and features or imma riot :')

To be honest I wasnt a huge fan of Chen Zhuoxuan at first. I did watch The Untamed but her character really wasnt that memorable to me and her voice wasn't my favourite type as well. However, her attitude is exactly what I liked and she is very much how I want to be. Confident, knows what she should and should not do and approaches everything with a fair head and a clear tactic. She knows where her capabilities and limits are, and from these episodes I definitely love her a lot. If only I can have 3 picks... I would love to pick Ma Sihui as well. I still remember her from the first performance and she did so well in it! I also really want to vote for Liu Nian. She seems to be slowly loosing confidence. Her bubbly and energetic performances always brings a smile to my face and helped me through bad times.
其實我最初真的沒有特別喜歡陳卓璇（畢竟阿箐的戲份不多也不算非常深刻），她的聲綫也不完全是我喜歡的類型，可是在這個節目中她所展現的態度我實在是太喜歡了（而且我自己也想成爲那樣的人）。她有足夠的自信，也清楚知道自己應該和不應該做什麽。她應對所有的事都有她自己的計劃和方法，也知道自己的極限在哪裏，不會想要做她知道自己力所不能及的事。我覺得這樣才是真正的展現自己。她不冒失，也不膽怯，我非常欣賞她。
要是可以有三pick就好了~我也很喜歡馬思惠，還記得她第一次舞臺唱的阿楚姑娘，完全觸動我了，就是我喜歡的那種聲綫，也很喜歡劉念。每一次看她的表演都為我帶來了滿滿的元氣，就像大張偉所説的‘讓我覺得天底下沒有過不去的砍’，在我需要活力的時候看她的表演確實讓我感覺好多了，她這種養成系最適合這種綜藝了。要是大家能讓她多留一會兒大家肯定能看到她非常多的成長，而且給大家意外的收穫的！希望大家多多pick這幾個寶藏女孩，謝謝！！！
p.s. This is the first produce shows that I watched because I know people would leave and I hate having to experience this sadness. I only watched this for Tao and Luhan and what I was dreading happened. I honestly feel like a lot of the girls that left (e.g. Pang Xuexian, Zhang Chunru, Chen Roubing) definitely deserves to stay as much as the girls who actually did and I feel so bad for them. Really hope all the girls who worked hard would get what they deserve and have a great future!

Curley actually do NOT have much screentime please correct this. There is a screentime distribution list on Weibo and she was NOT even Top 5. Yifan, Zhenni, Tian Jingfan, Nene, Sally, Liu Meng got most. Joyce, Yiyang, Zhaoyue, Sun Ruyun, Wang Yijin followed suit. Curley should be around Top 15 but NOT Top 10 screentime. She also have 0 CFs despite being #1. There is a list for that too. Fandoms keep count don't you know. Nene got 0 as well cuz she got casted late and they already film CFs by then and she can't speak chinese yet. Let's only stick w/ REAL records.

Negin Nasiri it was well known. She was rumored to debut many times. She appeared on SM Rookie. Tao signed with her after she parted way with SM, he prob knew her from trainee times and SM wont debut her so she had a better chance here

According to Yiyang open letter in Weibo she said she met Tao accidentally in summer of 2018 and Tao apparently gave her strength & good advice then which gave her the bravely to finally leave SM & sign in his company.

I am so surprise when I see people criticizing Chen Zhuoxuan in Weibo/other web because of her talk about sponsorship. It might due to Chinese culture, since they really emphasized the importance of being humble (people tend to hide their ambitions). But I absolutely loved her personality ❤️! For those people who don't understand why Chen zhuoxuan did not get a lot of commercials, here is the reason, in China, apart from WeTV, there are extra ranking systems, people who bought the yogurt, tooth paste or other product from commercial sponsors in this program can vote their trianees in seperate ranking system, Chen zhuoxuan's ranking is outside top 20, Zhao yue is the top at almost all ranking systems except WeTV, in other words, her fans would like to spend more money over Chen zhuoxuan's fans, so you can see a lot of Zhao yue's commercial in the program. Actually, Chen zhuoxuan did get some commercials you can find them in previous episodes.
