- It's time to crack out the body filler on the beetle project. Let's see if we can get the dented and creased door and rear deck lid looking a bit better. I also will be over filling the damaged areas before sanding back ready for primer.

@@MEZURASHII.lifeinJapan I'm just glad my '67 didn't need this much work done! :)
@@daveydad You are very lucky, It sounds like your 67 is truly a rare one. Thanks for commenting.
@@MEZURASHII.lifeinJapan It was an older restoration from 15-20 years ago. :) www.youtube.com/@AdventuresofLemonDrop-A1-yx7km

Welcome to the channel. Hope you enjoy the videos.
I don't think it was a spare wheel on the back or front of a car as the angle would have had to be the same as the slope of the boot lid to make such a uniform impression. Most likely it was a large woman that tried to sit on it.
Thanks for the comment. I did have a lot of thoughts on what could have caused the damage. I can't believe I overlooked the most obvious answer! Thanks for watching
I see you apply your filler on bare metal and over primer . What are your thoughts on applying an epoxy primer coat prior to filler for corrosion resistance.
Very nice work on the beetle .
Thanks for the comment. In the past I've not had a problem with using filler over bare metal providing it's clean and keyed up. I would recommend using epoxy over large areas of bare metal and in most cases filler work can be done over the top. I will be using such a product and then over the top with primer. Thanks for watching.
