- I attempt to cross a huge canyon jump with a variety of cars, however they only have a small run up. Cue much high speed destruction.

I'd imagine the reason why the Moonhawk ute flew nose-down was because of the large engine at the front, and not much weight at the rear.

Many dead test drivers found at the bottom of the canyon. That was kind of depressing.

That's called weight distribution mate. A front heavy car will always tip nose down... like you can see in basically every movie where a car jumps something!
Cereal Killer it can have some to do with suspension set up too. If you have a rear suspension set up that just springs up really fast because it's so stiff it will cause a nose dive launch as well. But you're right. Mostly just front heavy.

That Evo would make it if we'd have made the street version. If I remember correctly we just made a WRC version, which has shorter gears and lower top speed to favor acceleration... Did the same on the Subaru I think

You should just make it have a larger run up, that way at least some would actually make it.
When you hit the limiter press on the clutch or go into neutral. That way the engine stops slowing you down :)

I haven't seen anyone else cover this jewel of a scenario the others are ehh. I couldn't get the 1st to load properly and the others are kinda hard and longer. But lift off is so tormentingly great you would possibly make a series out of it

This is the 4th time I watched this video lol you should do another challenge like this but with the new silly cars
The "in-air control" you see is probably due to the gyroscopic effect when you turn the front wheels (I would suppose it is a front wheel drive car). Basically making the wheel spin at a different angle creates an effect where the car tries to spin in an opposite one so as to balance the "total side ways spin" of the whole car+wheels which must remain null, as it was before the jump.

You did say the Covet was front wheel drive, right? Maybe it's because you're standing on the throttle, the wheels are spinning in the air and acting like gyroscopes, altering the balance of the car in the air depending on where you turn?
with the sport d series, if you tapped the brakes mid air you would have landed nose down

i can't get canyon of speed to work on my system. it doesn't show up in the levels menu. i've unzipped it to the levels folder in the mods section, so i don't know why its not working.

why when you know full well that the pick up is not going to make it waste over 5 minutes trying. Its just boring try after try when we all know its definately wont make it!

The evo and subaru both have a turbo meaning you could get up to about 130mph. The button for this i believe is T.
surely changing its weight won't change its flight path. Acceleration due to gravity is always the same.

Just dab the brakes mid flight, your nose will go down slightly so the Imprezza and such will have a smooth landing. :)
Oh and the Evo has the turbo boost as well. :)

"The rally car isn't good enough." Yeah that has a Turbo you could have pressed for like 1 second to get that 3 mph or so you needed. The same turbo mentioned literally 10 seconds later.

On the offroadtruck just change the transmision + dif for more top speed
yea, the offroad truck gearbox is tuned for uphill, so lower top speed than the street/sport verison
