Angkor é uma antiga cidade do Império Khmer entre os séculos IX ao XV. Depois da decadencia do Império, a floresta "engoliu" a cidade e ficou assim por 400 anos, até ser redescoberta no século 19.
Alguns estudos dizem que viveram entre 500 mil a 1 milhao de pessoas na cidade.

Angkor is an ancient city of the Khmer Empire between the 9th and 15th centuries. After the decline of the Empire, the forest "swallowed" the city and remained that way for 400 years, until it was rediscovered in the 19th century.
Some studies say that between 500,000 and 1 million people lived in the city.
