    Hi Dino
    I love this charger, I just bought the exact same one after seeing you use it in your videos. I bought the exact cheap ebay lithium that you got as well for my first lithium. Will add to the collection with some better quality ones too. Slowly lifting my off grid camping gear standard. We have a jayco 17 pop top caravan. Awesome channel mate and great information, very helpful thanks!

      Thanks very much tootandloo. The charger and battery I have are still going very well. I had a jayco 17ft caravan I sold over a year ago and was fantastic . Once you go to the lithium batteries you will never go back to agm and hopefully the prices of lithium will go down in few years time . Appreciate your comment and thanks for all your support 👍🍻

    Mate mine finally arrived after being convinced from your review. Two TH-camr’s I follow promoted this unit (the other promoting
    eviewing the G3500) and I’m more than happy Dino. I’m just to test am using the repair mode on my battery to see if it makes a difference or not. Will check in the morning.

      Good luck in the repair mate .hopefully it will but just depends on how badly sulphate the battery is ...I have had a go at 5 batteries and 3 of them repaired and the other 2 were stuffed....but all you can do is try....let me know how you go 👍🍻

    • @UnbiasedTravelDad
      @UnbiasedTravelDad 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      EFFICIENTSELF don’t worry Dino I’m not going to hold it against you if doesn’t work lol.
      As you said mate can only try mate. I did need one and the fact I like your videos and you did a video on one it was good enough for me

      EFFICIENTSELF stupid question will I know that it worked because the colts are where they should be?

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      12.8 to 13.1 it will be good.....the repair can take 4 to 5 hours with my unit but I’m not sure with a smaller unit

    • @UnbiasedTravelDad
      @UnbiasedTravelDad 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      EFFICIENTSELF absolutely no issues mate I’ll run the unit overnight and check in the morning. As mentioned previously battery would not charge more than 12.5 so at least I know my starting point.
      Thanks again Dino and looking forward to the next video mate.
      Have a great week champion

    The manual says only use the repair mode for acid batteries not for agm

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s fine as you charge lead acid using agm mode. Lead acid and agm are similar structure . Think they might be meaning 12 volt only. I have used the repair function on 5 agm batteries so far and 3 of them were successful. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

    Hi. Does if you set it to 13.6 will it boost and maintain to that? Cheers. I need a charger that will maintain it at 13.6 for when I’m programming on the car. Cheers

      Not too sure mate I just got this to charge my batteries or try to repair them but have a look on the user manual here www.manualsdir.com/manuals/357167/noco-genius-g26000.html?download

    hi how match this product

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I picked it up on eBay when they were having a 20% off sale for around $270 from what I remember about 2 years ago . These would be very expensive nowadays. You can get the Victron blue smart charger here like I did recently for less and in my personal opinion it’s a better performer www.ebay.com.au/itm/133936109895 . Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍🍻

    Have you tested electrolyte density after full charging of dead Ca\Ca battery ?

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No sorry mate I’m not that technical . 🤣. It does what’s its meant to do very well. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

    • @TheKrisu091
      @TheKrisu091 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EFFICIENTSELF This charger only seems to charge well in standard mode. In order to fully charge the battery, increase its resistance to frost and sulfation, as well as extend its life cycle, you need to finally increase the charging voltage to over 16V using the Repair mode(better to do that when battery is out of the car - some electronic equipment can be sensitive for that voltage). Sometimes even several times if we're charging high capacity batteries. The density of the electrolyte is crucial.

    When do i use 12v normal mode and 12v cold/agm mode ???

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im not too sure .. just have a read of the manual... if you not got it im sure you will find on their website... i just been using normal mode for agm as i mostly use the lithium mode.. sorry couldn’t help

      Normal mode 14,4V final charging voltage
      Agm/Cold 14,7V
      AGM+ 15,5V
      Repair mode 16,2V 1,5A 4Hours
      If you use standard liquid acid ca\ca battery best option to recharge is AGM+ mode and next Repair mode once or twice(only voltage above 16V can deliver electrolyte density, whitch is critical for longevity of battery).
      When you use standard mode voltage is too low to fully charge.

    I have one of these that I bought 5 years ago and it’s pretty hopeless at charging my 3x130ah AGM batteries on my boat.even with a reading of 12.1-12.3v the charger starts out convincingly enough for about 2 mins at about 24amps then drops right down to a mere 9-11ams and stays like that for hours! These batteries are only 2 years old and my old charger happily put 25amps in for 1-2 hours then decrease gradually until it hit float mode. Unfortunately the old charger wouldn’t charge above 14.4v… and my AGM’s need 14.7-8v… hence why I bought this unit as it has an AGM setting… total waste of money

      Sure would 🤙 . I made one of those up probably over 25 years ago ,think I used the Bosch or Lucas alternator? 👍🍻

    Hey Dino
    Can I ask when you do the repair function and it reaches 100% will the green at 100% remain a solid light or will it blink?

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Solid

      @UnbiasedTravelDad 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      EFFICIENTSELF LOL. Yeah did a quick google search. Sorry mate to hassle you lol. I just did a quick voltage check on the battery. It’s still in repair Mode and the 100% is blinking but volts now say 13.54 which is brilliant as before I tried this it wouldn’t go above 12.5v

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jason Caruana let it go a bit longer as it might be still repairing give it extra time being a smaller charger see what happens...

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they sometimes have a 15% or 20% off sale think I picked mine up for around $260 as these retail around $315 or more . Has been an awesome charger 👍🍻

      EFFICIENTSELF hey mate can I ask a silly question but this unit compared to their other\cheaper models. I notice that they have 3.5amp, 15 amp etc. is that the input power back into the battery? Hope this makes sense.
      I just want to get a charger to top up the deep cycle while car is not driven. Not sure if I need this or is this too much for what I need

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Get the small one mate will be cheaper .. this unit can actully jump start your vehicle.. its the output power when they say the amps... for battery top up go for the small... just remember the smaller you go it takes longer to charge but if you not in a hurry the small will do .... if you can afford it mate go the 15 amp thats a good all purpose charger... i went this charger cause i found my 10 amp from supercheap a little bit small for my needs ... hope this helps someway 👍🍻

      EFFICIENTSELF you are a legend mate. Thanks for making it clearer. I’ll check out the 15amp also.
      The old 80 is only a weekend car so I’m not in a rush to charge to be honest but I’ll definitely check out the 15amp
