WOW Denny you brought back memories.Back in the 90’s when the milfoil was ALLOWED to grow on Nockamixon a local legend turned me n my brother onto that bite. His name was Ray Rumph, a good friend of my brother n Mike Iconellie.Ray was throwing that bait in black nickle with a black #11 Unkle josh pork rind over milfoil n killing it. Thanks for bringing back memories that will kill where milfoil is allowed to grow!

Thanks Steve, I had a similar experience with an old buddy of mine. Not sure but Ray Rumph sounds familiar to me. I know that name but can''t place it. Looking forward to throwing this bait once again as I don't think the fish see much of it.

i still use this lure too! i find you have the set the hook a good amount otherwise you loose alot of fish because the weed guard is a bit stiff. when they are on a panther martin type of bite. i usually have this right along side of it for weedy area. downside is pike love this thing, so i usually use a 15lb leader or more. i usually put a black slim grub type on it or something orange.

I never thought of using it as a topwater. I've got a few of them. I'll have to give it a try.

An oldie but a goodie. Works in saltwater too! Caught flounder on it!

One of the best redfish lures to use.

Look at Johnson silver Minnows, or Gold Color. You gotta pick through them, because " Nit brains" put to much or to little solder on hook or hook is crooked.

Thanks for pointing this out. I have noticed this recently with these lures.

@fishden365 Fishden, just wanted to make a further comment buddy! I would think with todays Technology, even on the cheap; Inexpensive tiny lazers like on a skill Saw, and or other Jig type metal, plastic fixtures.... That Bing Bong, could simply load them in the fixture and eveything would be nice and straight. The only learning curve would be, is to teach Dingus how to Solder. LMAO. Have a great Remainder of your Summer!; head on a swivel, and Never surrender your Gun!!!
