The quarters will work great on standard size nuts. If you plan on loosening metric nuts you will need to switch the quarters out for shillings.

Try to teach someone how to remove a tight nut. When you used the quarters you accidentally tightened it more before loosening it.

he did it on accident but it's actually called breaking the torque. you intentionally tighten it not even a quarter turn to break any possible corrosion that may be seizing up the nut. Then you loosen it. None of these however would ever work
If you don't have quarters, two keys work well. You can either use their heads, or use the teeth with the heads pointing opposing directions. Works best if able to stand above the nut.

Me too. I tried with a crescent wrench but it wouldn't budge even when I stood on the end of it. 2 quarters did the trick easy peasy.
Stuck lug nut on the wheel of my earthmover. I tried with a 2-inch socket wrench but it wouldn't budge; added a 4 foot length of pipe as a torque multiplier (cheater) and 2 of us jumped on the end; sadly it did nothing. 2 quarters did the trick easy peasy.
BTW, using 4 quarters doubles the torque causing the nut or bolt to spin off without even touching it.

I'm in England and due to the exchange rate I only need 2 coins maximum. Just showing them to the nut undoes it.
@@Surv1ve_Thrive I tried what you said with 2 coins but it failed. I figured out the problem... I'm in Canada where our dollar is only worth 75 cents so I glued 3 coins together and tossed them at the lugnut and BAM, the nut was loose. Then as a test I filled a cloth bag with 100s of coins, tossed it at the wheel and all the lugnuts on all 4 wheels spun themselves off and landed on the ground.
I should have put blocks under my Terex 6300AC Heavy Hauler first because when the wheels fell off it dropped on its belly and was a bugger to lift back up.

OMG! I had the most stubborn nut ever; I chafed my hand trying to loosen it, but it never budged. I was ready to give up and buy a wrench. Then I watched this video and decided to try the tape method, but deep inside I knew it wasn't going to work. But when it actually did I was so surprised, I started laughing! Thank you so much!!!

Alright I'm honestly shocked, ive been trying for at least 15 minutes to get this thing off with my hands and it just wouldn't budge so I tried duct tape but I only used one piece and it ripped, tried again for a bit with my hand, still didn't work, so I decided maybe I really need two pieces for the tape to work... I did it and the thing unscrewed so easily as if it wasn't even stuck... I'm impressed

Another way is to blow across one side of the nut, and if that doesn’t work use your teeth.
I was playing this video out loud, and my flatmate hearing the results went and tried it. I just want to mention that my flatmate is a male and has gender identity issues. So when I found him in the bathroom with two quarters duct taped together around his nuts and reinforced with a zip tie.. inhad to make a choice of calling an ambulance or maing out with his hot girlfriend.

This first hack will never, and I repeat never work, unless the nut has been loosened from excessive riding or hit something. You would not be able to pull the strongest tape in the world to loosen that. You would have tape burn
Even if the bolt was brand new, and the bike from the factory, the nut would be way to tight
