Pop Ur Pet I googled it and found a picture of basically what I do... main thing is to keep even laces left over at the very beginning and then at the end you usually have both laces ending on one side vs the other and I try to plan so they end up on the “inside” of the shoe. i.pinimg.com/originals/b8/7d/43/b87d43b5d2c32174d46634aa4eb42625.jpg
Here’s the shortest video I could find that’s also easy to tell what’s happening… I will say you sometimes have to play around with what’s too tight or too lose for putting the shoes on and off… sometimes people tuck the laces at the end and they can slip out which is annoying… other people tie the laces and hide the “bow” under the tongue, you can also just tie them like normal at the end… it’s just a preference… I like them hidden so in a perfect world you get the laces tied and tucked in a way that you can still get the shoe on and off with a shoe horn and never have to tie them. th-cam.com/video/wm_Gx00hTNQ/w-d-xo.html
Chimuelo Haha, not basic at all! I’m fairly certain I kept all my laces the way they came for my entire life... it was only a few years ago I started trying something different. Now that I’ve gone “no bow” I don’t know if I can go back though ;)
The Style Pilot With the straight across, I have to pull on specific laces along the tongue in the correct direction while tugging on the end of a lace to get them tightened... but after that they’re usually good. It also depends if you plan to tie a bow or just tuck the laces, but I find the tucking of the laces is what ends up loose for me if I’m not careful, not necessarily the actual lacing style. But like you said, even I’m probably doing it wrong 🤣
Depends on the shoe, I think. Gucci Aces w/Bees & Versace: I do the straight across look, in what I hope gives more attention to the design of the shoe. New Loubs came with the criss-cross lacing and I haven’t worn them yet. They’re all white with red piping (Vierissima). You don’t really notice all the lacing I think because there is so much white color going on. I haven’t tried tucking my laces in rather than tying, so I might give that a shot (I worry about the laces getting dirty on the floor or whatnot). I liked the criss-crossed laces on the shoes you held up, btw. 😁
Pat Z j appreciate the feedback! There’s just something “smart” about the straight across that grabs people’s attention... I think it’s because it’s both simple and different... but I also agree it depends on the shoe and the look you’re going for!
Hey Bobby, I’m here with Johnny. He like the ones that are straight across. He wants a video on that.
cerka27 y’all social distancing? 😂 Probably a good time to teach him since he has enough time to retie all his shoes 👟
Bobby Allen yes we are social distancing while eating out Pappasito’s and takeout margaritas. 🍹🤪
cerka27 We might need to do some social distance game nights! We have vodka haha
I actually tuck my laces too but I don’t lace them any different. I do like what you did though!
Pop Ur Pet Thanks! Something about that lacing seems more “slick and clean” to me... not sure how to put it :)
I like it! I’ll probably look it up and try

Thanks man!
Can you link me to how you lace your sneakers across without showing any laces underneath. It looks so clean. Thank you.

@@LouboutinReviews THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Not gonna lie, I just leave them how they are 😂
And I do the bow, hope I’m not basic haha

I like the straight across but they are hard to re- tie when you are out and about and they get loose... Maybe I'm doing it wrong LOL

Normal
Loose tie them
C C I’ve been thinking about grabbing some lace anchors to help hold the different styles better throughout the day
Ummm, I wear $10 flats 🤷🏻♀️
Elizabeth Wigle Haha I’ve got plenty of cheap shoes too, I just like to post about the flashy ones :) Can you tie your flats? ;)
@@LouboutinReviews can't tie the flats, but my sneakers I just tie straight out of the box. Love the new shoes!!
Elizabeth Wigle Thanks!! I recently started lacing all my sneakers “straight across” and now I can’t stop! David makes me lace his now :)
