- After the year 2020, things have drastically changed in Kanto. There's no more reviving Pokémon. Looming extinction means trainers can only catch a limited number of Pokémon. And, of course, Metronome is the only move that remains. Without items allowed in battle, things have become seriously chaotic in the Kanto region. Welcome to the chaos. Welcome to Enter the Unown.

I genuinely love the in-game explanation for a Nuzlocke. Gives a dark and edgy feel to the world without pulling the cult nonsense that so many ROM hacks try. I love your channel, and the roleplay aspects you incorporate into your battles. Keep on keeping on, dude.
I felt the joke ran it's course early. Like, should've stopped in the intro early.

The dark tone for this is super nice, it gives an explanation for the Nuzlocke and I never know what’s gonna happen next. Gary being a Pokemon Serial Killer funded by his grandfather, a Pokémon slave trader? What?

Kept checking the time left in the vid thinking "there's no way he's gonna manage this one" and lo and behold that's the way it ended up. Loved it, though, the pain of Gyarados commiting suicide when you'd put so much into grinding it!

Given how much modding must've been done, I'm curious to see if, and when, metronome becomes explosion or self destruct. And then I see that it's definitely still in the move pool, minutes later. Oh boy.
I'm currently attempting a Metronome only playthrough of Crystal Clear and 3/4 of my moves are self-destruct or explosion.

This is actually probably the best incarnation of a nuzlocke i've seen in a while, particularly because of the way you played it. Most nuzlockes wind up with endless grinding for overleveled pokemon, but grinding is too dangerous in this version, so you were continually underleveled instead. You also played recklessly -- switch training during gym battles in a nuzlocke??? but it makes sense because so many metronome attacks are wasted and you've got a good chance of a free switch.

I love the spooky "worldbuilding" that explains why Metronome is the only move and why the Nuzlocke is necessary. That plus the background music... so chilling, and so good!

This was so insanely good storytelling. I hope it continues the story further in other attempts. Love your dry humor and style. I think you would have won if you used the 'thunder armor' technique though from your other series mimicking Ash.

Also, can we talk about how the background music is JUST a lavender town remix? I love it. So much. The music and the story that explains this nuzlocke and everything. It’s so cool and adds originality to an already fun concept.
highkey one of your best videos so far. Loved the story, the premise (especially knowing how much you love metronome), and how it was done. The PMD music at the end was just the icing on the cake for such an unsettlingly creepy yet goofy video.

Fun Fact about block: If you defeat the pokemon that used block, you can switch out again. That doesnt work when said pokemon was switched out, but in this case, you couldve been able to save Florp.

A large reason you only hit one OHKO move is because you were usually underleveled. If your opponent is a higher level than your Pokemon it automatically fails.

Long answer: Yes, but it's not something you want to try. As it is, it's so random, there's a moderate chance of not finishing it either way
Florp was the saviour and Tangela unfotunately defeated him and unlike a shounen anime however Florp has fallen leaving out hero trapped
Also, the Block might have guaranteed that Florp would die, but it was also locked into Thrash. I don't think you can switch out mid-Thrash anyway, so it was giga dead. Thank you Florp for your contributions, you will be missed o7
