Disagree. Salah Haaland Saka Palmer Watkins Mbeumo Rogers TAA Gabriel Raya Son Havertz. In fact the only unpredictable high scorers who most wouldn’t predict are imo are Diaz, Welbeck, and maybe McNeil. Other than Bruno and Eze I would say no popular asset has disappointed in fact.
@@sebvshid even say last season was much harder and more brutal. All premiums being available meant that there was basically no room to climb within the budget picks and when players did return they returned MASSIVE.
Feels really familiar tbh. I always do well in first 10GWs (highs of top 1k - no chips used) but then try too hard to be differential and the template finally comes good Xmas onwards and I usually finish about 500k. 😢
Seriously, obviously you have the expected returners like the “premiums”. But I have 2 teams (a draft squad and a regular one) and my draft team usually outperforms the squad where I get full freedom because I cant choose the commonly picked players as theyre owned by others

Honestly this season has been super hard to predict so far when it comes to FPL. Players go hot and cold all the time and there's rarely a perfect captain.
Loving the fact that I wildcarded pretty much just to get Haaland in to stop the bleeding. And since then it has just turned a bleeding trickle to an arterial spray since that City gumboot has blanked every week since I brought him in! 🤣🤦🏻♂️ On the positive side , I've still got 2 players to try to boost my amazing 19 points so far. So as long as Sels and Wood score about 30+ between them then I'll be fine...... 🤦🏻♂️

I commented in my mini league that this year is either feast or famine. I scored 35 this week, 37 the week before and 90 the week before that. One of the best players in the mini league is 24th out of 25 and having a shocker. My defence has scored 15 points over the last 3 GWs. I’ve had Haaland for 3 weeks and it seems that “attacking the upside” has hardly worked out any time I’ve made any transfers. Chins up and we go again next week!
17 points so far two players left, this is my first season of fpl and I’m at 6mil, I feel like I keep making the right decisions but it never works out for me, every 50/50 decision doesn’t go my way, next week I suppose

I feel like there’s a general sense of apathy within the FPL space at the moment: there are no doubles to plan for, and not many players hauling. It can all change on a dime though so we’ll stay the course 🦖
There's very little in the way of players that I would consider safe points. Even with transfers I just don't really know where to go. I'm thinking of switching Saka for Salah, downgrading Solanke and getting a new defender for Konsa or Colwill.
Penalties for Salah and Vardy were my only saving graces this week, currently on 38 pts with Aina playing tomorrow. Given up on Arsenal defense. Not worth the premium price. TAA is gonna be my only premium def going forwards. Liverpool under Slot is looking like a seriously solid defense. In mid and fwd I’m no longer gonna put my eggs in too few baskets, and spread my funds around hoping for the power of the average.

I rage transferred out DCL for Welbeck on Saturday night and didn't check that he picked up an injury. Fortunately, after the scan it seems like Welbeck isn't having an injury and will be back in training soon.
One of the most underrated 4.0m defender picks is keane. I have had him for 4 weeks now and this week proved brilliant. More points this season than the likes or pau torres and lewis etc
Ross, Start Ait-Nouri and Van den berg. Ait-Nouri has great attacking quality and is always very attacking producing goals and assists. And with Van den berg I think Brentford finally have to keep a clean sheet and will. Ipswich are soo attackingly poor.
I currently looking at doing DCL to Wissa. I know I have had enough of DCL and whenever Wissa has gotten consistent minutes he has been in amongst the goals. Common sense says going R.Jimenez but I don’t see a world where Jimenez keeps up this form.
Took the risk of bringing in Buonanotte 2 gameweeks ago and am loving it… I’m sure more people would be looking to him if he played all minutes from the start of the year.
I would say your team is almost perfect, to avoid future headaches, I would look to get Rogers out, Semenyo in. I think it’s only a matter of time before Rogers gets a random benching, but he should still be good for the Bournemouth match. Maybe look to get Porro in for Lewis as well, set and forget him over the Christmas fixtures
Hey Ross, it’s not just you, I started the season top 50k after GW3 and I’m now down to 350k after 27 points this week. I brought Johnson in for Eze which meant benching Rogers instead of Eze who was one of my only returns! Double Arsenal defence the last few weeks has been incredibly disappointing too, feels like we’re getting everything wrong at the moment!
I've never considered double defence in this game except the years Robertson and Trent were constantly getting attacking returns... To me, it's never worth it just for potential clean sheets that could be wiped out by 1 goal
I had a 29 pt gameweek, but that's not what hurts. It’s more the fact that the 2 players I transferred in (including captaincy) combined for 6 pts, and the 2 I transferred out would’ve got me 28 (32 if I would've captained correctly, but I wouldn't have). That's what hurts.

Had a quick look at a wildcard ..no haaland team ... I could get palmer , son , saka , salah , rogers watkins , wissa and cunha in attack . My defence would be all cheap but not really had luck with premium defenders anyway

However I did Saka to Foden for 4pts...however that caused me to bench Rogers as my only other scoring player 😎 Think I might look at a grand rotation of forwards...starting on Haaland, Solanke, Delap: Move Solanke to Wissa GW9 for IPS. GW10 Haaland to Cunha, a mid up to Salah (almost certainly Foden) GW11, Delap back to Solanke for IPS if Solanke looks better ...probably Salah back to Saka in GW12/13, play it by ear to see if Haaland comes back before GW18ish

I did Diaz, Watkins, and Semenyo -> Raul, Johnson, and Foden for a -4 as it set me up for Saka -> Palmer for the next few fixtures... Now I'm just going to roll transfers for 3/4 weeks.

I had Salah capt this week but honestly I didn't ever would have thought that that Newcastle would have lost 0-1 to Brighton in home and Haaland didn't get any points, I would just consider that I was lucky this week. Cheer up Ross- next week you have Haaland against Southampton.
49 points with Wood to play. Captained Salah and he aline jumped me up a million places. Not having Haaland hurt me bad for that few weeks, but now has helped me recover and am close to 500k.
For the moment, i`m on 33 points with Eze still to play against Nottingham Forest tonight. After the many blanks this gameweek i would say i`m happy with points from Jackson, Rogers and mostly the autosub points from Mykolenko with Saka not playing. Otherwise the armband was on Haaland and i`m still on a red arrow. Altogether i`m in a tricky situation with 3 free transfers and £0,6m in the bank. Moreover the season has not been that fun so far and my rank is stuck between 2 and 3 million for the last few gameweeks, really need a high score to boost my overall rank.
Hi Ross, Well as expected Haaland is finally blanking. Too bad you had to own him for the blanks. I’ll die on the hill that 15.4M is simply too much for any asset. My only advice to you is similar to what was said on one of the FPL Therapy episodes. You’ve gotta have a long term basis evaluating over performance. Haaland was never going to keep that scoring pace up. City lost KDB and Rodri and Foden isn’t firing. They’ve won the last 2 games based on sheer grit and championship aura. I do recommend a sell after the Southampton fixture. Hopefully he’s priced at 13.5 next season.
Just really bad variance, Arsenal not getting a CS over the last 3 game weeks is literally unheard of. With fixtures that easy, that was a banker. I’m just worried who to bring in for Saliba, Ait Nouri would be great on a wildcard, but is he really worth a transfer in?
Haaland is stinky, but slightly more stinky is the double and tripple ups on Arsenal defence. They struggle to keep cleans against lower sides because their high line is vulnerable to being hit on the break by teams that park the bus. When the bus is parked, the top 6 push most of their players into the battle of breaking down the block. City are similar.
think you're considering the fixtures a bit too much, specially with players like ipswich or man city defenders.. theyre just not good at keeping cleansheets
Fpl is beginning to be very sus with everyone selling saka minutes before the deadline and son getting an assist when he clearly shouldn't have... and can you sell haaland so he scores agian 💀 Edit: Sons assist is now gone as it should 👍
Personally think most FPL content creators overthink it and therefore don’t do well. 1 or 2 good FPL years doesn’t make you an expert, this goes for the creators too. Still love the content Ross x
At some point, we have to accept that Liverpool's defence is good. Being willing to have double Arsenal defence through Liverpool (H), Newcastle (A) and Chelsea (A) (before Saliba's red card) but worried about one Liverpool defender for Arsenal (A), Brighton (H), Villa (H) is madness. Trent or Konate should be in most teams. Especially for a team like yours which has no Liverpool. I feel like I should check we've been watching the same premier league season so far. The one I've watched has Liverpool top of the table while only conceding 3 goals, conceding about 6 xGA, having the largest xG differential in the league, the best FPL defender we've ever seen and the FPL GOAT. Feels like lots of people are living in last season still
Surprised you arent looking at strand larsen considering hes a mil cheaper than cunha, has a terrific fixture run coming up and keeps returning at a very similar pace to cunha, just feels like SL gets overlooked a lot when he could be a good shout for ppl with tight budgets

I guess you didn't see my suggestion for last gw. If you move solanke down to Jimenez, you can upgrade dibling to Johnson.

Pretty similar team to yours. However I did Saka to Foden for 4pts...however that caused me to bench Rogers as my only other scoring player 😎
Think I might look at a grand rotation of forwards...starting on Haaland, Solanke, Delap:
Move Solanke to Wissa GW9 for IPS.
GW10 Haaland to Cunha, a mid up to Salah (almost certainly Foden)
GW11, Delap back to Solanke for IPS if Solanke looks better
...probably Salah back to Saka in GW12/13, play it by ear to see if Haaland comes back before GW18ish
I'm at 29pts with Aina left to play. I went without Haaland GW1-5 in favour of a Salah only draft so 3 captaincys, 3 blanks is frustrating.
I did Diaz, Watkins, and Semenyo -> Raul, Johnson, and Foden for a -4 as it set me up for Saka -> Palmer for the next few fixtures... Now I'm just going to roll transfers for 3/4 weeks.
I was one of the many that loved your wildcard draft with Pickford. Still think he’s a great option. Gutted I benched Mykolenko this week on favour of VdV last minute

Went into today with 6 points... Currently on 34 with 7 more to come from the bench and Wood + Eze still to play. So it could be worse
Edit. Saliba only misses one game btw. It wasn't a violent conduct offense
68 points and rank went up to 270k ish, still have wildcard left. I had Salah capt this week but honestly I didn't ever would have thought that that Newcastle would have lost 0-1 to Brighton in home and Haaland didn't get any points, I would just consider that I was lucky this week. Cheer up Ross- next week you have Haaland against Southampton.

49 points with Wood to play. Captained Salah and he aline jumped me up a million places. Not having Haaland hurt me bad for that few weeks, but now has helped me recover and am close to 500k.
For the moment, i`m on 33 points with Eze still to play against Nottingham Forest tonight. After the many blanks this gameweek i would say i`m happy with points from Jackson, Rogers and mostly the autosub points from Mykolenko with Saka not playing. Otherwise the armband was on Haaland and i`m still on a red arrow. Altogether i`m in a tricky situation with 3 free transfers and £0,6m in the bank. Moreover the season has not been that fun so far and my rank is stuck between 2 and 3 million for the last few gameweeks, really need a high score to boost my overall rank.
It's a good week to have a bad week Ross, no worries the most important part of the FPL season still to come

Well as expected Haaland is finally blanking. Too bad you had to own him for the blanks.
I’ll die on the hill that 15.4M is simply too much for any asset.
My only advice to you is similar to what was said on one of the FPL Therapy episodes.
You’ve gotta have a long term basis evaluating over performance.
Haaland was never going to keep that scoring pace up. City lost KDB and Rodri and Foden isn’t firing. They’ve won the last 2 games based on sheer grit and championship aura.
I do recommend a sell after the Southampton fixture.
Hopefully he’s priced at 13.5 next season.

Just really bad variance, Arsenal not getting a CS over the last 3 game weeks is literally unheard of. With fixtures that easy, that was a banker. I’m just worried who to bring in for Saliba, Ait Nouri would be great on a wildcard, but is he really worth a transfer in?

Haaland is stinky, but slightly more stinky is the double and tripple ups on Arsenal defence. They struggle to keep cleans against lower sides because their high line is vulnerable to being hit on the break by teams that park the bus. When the bus is parked, the top 6 push most of their players into the battle of breaking down the block. City are similar.
think you're considering the fixtures a bit too much, specially with players like ipswich or man city defenders.. theyre just not good at keeping cleansheets
Fpl is beginning to be very sus with everyone selling saka minutes before the deadline and son getting an assist when he clearly shouldn't have... and can you sell haaland so he scores agian 💀

Personally think most FPL content creators overthink it and therefore don’t do well. 1 or 2 good FPL years doesn’t make you an expert, this goes for the creators too. Still love the content Ross x
At some point, we have to accept that Liverpool's defence is good. Being willing to have double Arsenal defence through Liverpool (H), Newcastle (A) and Chelsea (A) (before Saliba's red card) but worried about one Liverpool defender for Arsenal (A), Brighton (H), Villa (H) is madness. Trent or Konate should be in most teams. Especially for a team like yours which has no Liverpool.
I feel like I should check we've been watching the same premier league season so far. The one I've watched has Liverpool top of the table while only conceding 3 goals, conceding about 6 xGA, having the largest xG differential in the league, the best FPL defender we've ever seen and the FPL GOAT.

Surprised you arent looking at strand larsen considering hes a mil cheaper than cunha, has a terrific fixture run coming up and keeps returning at a very similar pace to cunha, just feels like SL gets overlooked a lot when he could be a good shout for ppl with tight budgets

Really glad I didn't go double Arsenal defence and I am not big on Solanke as a pick at all. The spread of points at Spurs puts me right off them. KDB coming back will make a big difference to EH's output. I got 41 and still have Sels and Wood to go tonight. I wish I had captained Salah.
