- We challenged chefs of three different levels - an amateur, a home cook and a professional chef - to make their versions of French toast. And then we brought in a food scientist to review their work. Which French toast was the best?

Level 3 is too complicated and pricey and not worth it to eat for yourself but maybe Ive to try this someday in holiday or special event. I think they don't so they can show that no matter how you cook, you can still enjoy your own dish and don't want to deter people from attempting to cook even at the amateur level. But that moment that Emily brought in that ketchup...I knew that this video wasn’t for me..
I mean, everything together is fine, but the amounts would need to be toned down a lot for my taste. I don't want the toppings to overpower the actual toast. Also I would probably just removce sugar, there's already enough of that in the other things.

THIS. Exactly what I always think when watching this videos.
Because it's good ol' fashion home made food, it's very relatable, appealing and effort and love was put into it, unlike Emily's..whatever.
Penny's looks great and exotic and I'm sure love was put into it, but it's more for something you go out to eat or plan ahead, maybe even a like a special occasion, not for making at your house normally, unless your professional chef like Penny or have a lot of time in your hands.
Level 1 is not trying at all, and you don't want "trying their best" when it comes to food.
