Whoa! I wasn't sure when this video would be coming out so it was a really nice surprise today! I had a great time and really hope I get to come back out and dig with you again. After some thought, and feedback, I would love to do a collab on these highbankers. I have a couple details to work on so stay tuned!
I'd like a larger landing plate, and a longer sluice, like maybe 4 more inches, and sticking out the backside a touch, with a deflection shield for the rocks coming off the grizzlies. The riffle matt needs to be deeper and longer ribs...the larger gold will roll right over the current matt, hence the picker, the same size of the riffle
Having your own high banker would be cool, I mean, fang-tastic! I gotta say that after a few years of watching prospecting videos, I have come to the conclusion that thousands of years worth of prospectors were right, the Batea pan is the way to go. It's just plain easier and initially separates the gold way better than any other type I've seen.
So a serious question. Could you take a cloth tarp and string it up to put dirt in. Then just run the pump in to the pile so that it washes away all the light stuff. Take out all the big rocks and then have cons left to run or pan? I don't know how efficient it would be or if it would even work.
Silver Spike likes this one! Excellent work! Nice recovery. Yes, collaborate to manufacture your own version of that high banker. Make a selection of colors as well. I'd like mine in red please.
Pro-Am tip, but with a little more than just the tip: a real canvas tarp is better than the plastic ones for pilling on of, and shoveling off of dirt and debris. The shovel will slide across rather than grab. However a transfer shovel will be better suited for the job even if you aren’t, than a spade shovel - as you are less likely to spear the tarp, especially on uneven ground. The green ones from “Wharf Merchandise” are great as they are fairly low cost compared to the waxed ones from “Dozer Surplus”, or whatever they call these places in Canada. Fun fact: not many synonyms for tractor.
Thank you Bob from Connecticut 🇺🇸 love your channel love all your you're the most hilarious of them all especially when you get together Dan when you two get together you make me laugh so freaking hard I can barely thank you for putting out the content it's an actual relief from the stress of the the world I know it's more than a hobby it's a way of life it's in your blood later and thank you God bless you and and everyone that sees later from Connecticut 🏴☠️🇺🇸
It’s Kyle’s Super duper purple sluice box SO Kyle KEEPS ALL THE GOLD! Yeah, and Very Fun Video … Have Kyle Make a Pioneer Pauly WAL-OF-NUTTS Sluice … It’ll drive you crazy! 😜 At How Much Gold it’ll find. Great Sluice Box and design Kyle!
Hi Poly.........Great video, lots of fun. I watch and subscribe to your channel. Please start selling this purple sluice box. I love the color and looks light enough to hike with. Can't loose that one. I'm going to use a colored snuffer bottle with orange marker tape like you use now so I don't loose it. LOL. The color will help, Love all your videos. My husband and I are starting this spring, we live in western Montana, close to Bannock and Virginia City Montana. You sure found a ton of gold nuggets in New Zealnd, that was Amazing. Please make some purple TShirts with Pioneer Poly holding one of those nuggets.
About time🙄 Lol I don't know about that square pan, looks like I'd loose gold and patience trying to figure it out. I think a highbanker would be a great idea. Thanks for the video Pauly and all the time you clearly put into the editing it's always a good watch.
i started with a le trap square pan somewhere between 1985 and 89. saw a demo at the fairgrounds and the guy had a trough you could try out the pan in that had gold flake for $2 for 5 min and what ever gold you could snuffer up before he called time, you got to keep. i blew a couple months allowance on panning and cleared his trough a few times in the 3 days he was there. wound up buying a pan and practiced in my back yard for a couple months. been hooked ever since.
hey Pauly, was a nice suprize to see you on Bering Sea Gold!!!! So are you close towhere the film Bering Sea Gold & Dan Hurd, which I have seen you on too? Thanks for the videos, wish I knew about gold panning when I was young I would of been doing it!!! Thanks again for the videos!!!
Hey Pauly, that 2.23 grams were worth about $144.00 USD or $197.30 CAN, and that nugget was worth about $49.00 USD or $67.20 CAN. Gold Spot price closed @ $2000/Oz t on 10/20/2023.
Ever think about using multiple mat designs in sluice run? Just from watching the gold shows on tv they say if gold doesn’t like one design it might like the other and most times see them with at least 3 different styles in the run. Just a thought.
I agree, The Pauly High Banker$$$ And I was surprised you didn't have your metal detector to flag out HOT SPOTS ! I do find that marking those hot spots with the wire pink flag markers. They are reusable of course. Thanks Pauly 🤠👍
@pioneerpauly A C.P.L. filter (circular polarized lense) will allow you to see through the glare of the water while filming and shooting photos. If you are inside you need polarized light filters for it to function.
if you were able to put a polarizing filter on your camera it would get rid of all of the water reflections. If you are using your phone, you could probably even get a cheap polarizing filter for any DSLR camera and just hold it up in front of your phone camera lens. If you are using a DSLR camera though, you can find chap polarizing filters for whatever lens you are running - they are measured in mm diameter.
AHHWA Pauly; I have missed you Dear, So Happy to see ya again! 😜😆, You already got me 😅! OKAY Pauly, Bout your "New Highbanker", Do whatever you Want, cz, I know ya know what you are doing, &PEOPLE Do Believe in Your Ideas, & Would be Great for 1st Time High bankers! 👏😉👊👍😎! Hmm, 🤔, Not sure Bout Square Pan, I always used Round! I would still want to Swirl! A Lotta Work Guys! Shrugs? Whadaya Think!? 🤔🧐😒😏👏/ Betting the Work Huh? 😢,🙄😟😩/You're Still a Winner Man! 🤗😘😄/GBU.,SM.,NZ., ✌❤😁✝️🙏🏿😜
The brush thingie may be made of pieces of the (fiberglass?) reinforcing "rod" that's included in a fiber optic cable bundle. I got some from scrap pieces of cable from a fiber optic cable installer dude. Strip them out, epoxy them in a handle and anyone can scrape like Pauly.
My wife said she would let me buy one only if its Barneys Beautiful Purple. So i HOPE you do a collab and let others enjoy playing with Barney!!! @PioneerPauly
That is a well functioning high banker♻️💲💲💲👍 Those ripple mats seem to work very well 👍 It's all about what works, or doesn't work! That's where years of experience comes into play, which seems to be paying 💰off with those deep rippled mats. Congrats 👍 Good pay dirt helps too!🤔🤑 Cheers and beers from Chilliwack!
Being a construction worker, I've always been taught to not double handle material. making a pile before slushing seems counter productive to me but if it works it works! 😁
I want to see you try an experiment with that pan. Put in a known quantity of gold, with a pan of material. Pan over a catch basin so that you can risk losing gold from the pan. Then experiment with more aggressive clean out. If you push the edge of the pan down into the water, the incoming water, washing over your material will loft all that dirt into suspension. You let that stuff flow right back out the front. Shake and repeat. I think you can clean a pan right down to the gold and black sand in under 30 seconds without losing much if anything.
making big piles to highbank is exactly what we have been doing on my little claim. Then run it through and do clean up. Seems a lot more efficient than one shovel at a time. Easier on the gas consumption as well. Can't just run the banker while digging out a shovel full at a time. :)
Woooo hooooo Pauly!! That was some awesome gold! I was amazed at the amount from that pile. You would think that since you made 2 runs, that the first time would have more gold because it was dug from soils closest to the bedrock. However, once again science prevails and shows that gold- no matter what size- sinks because it is the heaviest. I wanted to know how you managed to get Dan Hurd in the front car of the roller coaster? Hee hee! I wonder how many people caught that sneak pic? As far as a square pan, I can't say one or the other because I don't own a pan and disability rules life. Plus, there is no gold to be found in southeast Alabama. However, it seemed like there might be an advantage, but I think that it all depends on the person who is panning. Just my thoughts. On the purple high banker, it does the job! It seems light weight, easy to set up and take down, plus the size means you can take it almost anywhere. It would be a nice endeavor to create your own version. I guess it would depend on the market near you. Thank you for sharing your gold and the incredible scenery of your claim! I could sit all day and absorb the peacefulness! Blessings from Alabama ❤️

A longer top box plus longer grate so rocks get washed longer b4 dropping off
😅😮 16:38 16:38 16:38 😅😅😮😅😮
Banker looks badass, any links to that square pan you guys were using??
You should definitely team up on a High Banker build! It would be interesting to see what kind of features and size you think would be perfect!
Having your own high banker would be cool, I mean, fang-tastic! #sponge bob square pan
Would I ever try a square pan? Yes. Also you and Dan look great on that roller-coaster!
Holy wah! You put up a big front when you are with Dan. Beautiful spot and great gold. Thanks PP

I love that Dan was on the roller coaster at 4:08
You need to get Dan Hurd out with his vacuum to finish off those crevices. You've left the best material behind!
Is he running too steepnor is it because of the slopenof the land that makes it look that way?

Pauly is the type of person you can be best friends with without ever meeting him. 😂 keep up the great work, dude! I absolutely love this channel!
I think like that too. I can't believe he doesn't know me when I know him so well!
Right?! It's weird when you think about it haha but a good weird. Kinda. I think
I never thought that I'd spend my days watching a man and his piles...
I would only use the gold pan that Dan Hurd tells me to use! Daddy Dan is always right.
I friggin' LOVE Highbanking. Big fan of these videos.
A whole lot of fun Pauly! Thanks buddy!

2:42 Nice, you got some Australian dirt to run too, i hear ppl find good gold there. 😂
Besides a big pile of dirt, another thing that makes highbanking more efficient is a good pair of gloves. Or any gloves
Photoshop rollercoaster pic with Dan is pure Gold!!! 😭😭😭🙏🏾🤍
Please make a shirt of you and Dan on the roller coaster, that merchandise would kill. So funny!!!😂😂😂

You need a shop vac for those crevices. How you may ask? 1st you need a shop vac, a 1k inverter, a battery, an a solar collection device.

Awesome job. I would use one of those high bankers

Who knew Dan Hurd loved rollercoasters! And Pauly was Australian!!!
Would of liked to have seen that last mat panned out by itself to see how much gold was making it to the back of the sluice 🤔
My wife said she would let me buy one only if its Barneys Beautiful Purple. So i HOPE you do a collab and let others enjoy playing with Barney!!! @PioneerPauly

Lmfao that Dan Hurd in a roller coaster was funny AF
So how are getting around the rules of tailings flow going back into the creek without a settling pond?
Being a construction worker, I've always been taught to not double handle material. making a pile before slushing seems counter productive to me but if it works it works! 😁
Nice clean up congratulations 🎉🎉
I see what you did on the roller coaster. I watch both of you and that was funny

I have a somewhat low budget of 150 and was wondering where I could get the equipment for gold prospecting for that price?
Sweet shiny stuff

Will all the roots play a factor in not catching gold? Just curious I've never done this b4.
Yep. Go for it
