On my way to town today, I saw on our church community sign that it's "Bring a Friend to Church" Sunday. This is the church where I was baptized as an adult. We haven't attended in seven months and have not received a single call, text, letter, card, or visit. We could be dead and nobody would know. How's that for a slice of heaven. Organized religion where everyone is out for themselves. Prove me wrong.
It may just mean YOU need to go deeper investing your time in growing there where people will notice when you’re not there. Take your experience and serve in that area so when members are missed they know it. Serve Jesus, all you do is for Him. People are all trying to walk in the Spirit but our flesh gets in the way. Receive grace, give out grace, the benefit of the doubt. Be in the Word daily is a must !
