- How to keep your aquarium glass clean and clear of algae, cloudiness, smudges, fingerprints, and more. Quick and easy ways to remove algae from your fish tank.
Aquariums develop more algae and debris when nitrates are high from overfeeding, lack of maintenance and water changes, or a lack of live plants. If you find a better balance for your aquarium, you will likely need to clean your glass far less often. With some of our fish tanks, the glass or acrylic is only needed to be cleared every couple weeks.

Troy, excellent show of fish. Love and Peace.
Thanks, Sandy!
Thanks for the video, Troy. Good info here. Might have to get me one of these, esp for the back part of the glass. Great mention on the glass thickness 👍
Glad it was helpful!
You just made me go clean my glass in my aquarium lol
Haha nice
@@CichlidBros I have fresh and saltwater.
Best way for you and your tank.
Troy, do you recommend wavemakers over bubble stones? I really like how Mike had his bubble stones in his flowerhorn aquariums
Fist time I see that you have discus 😊
Yep, in my 90 gallon!
@@CichlidBros use to be my favorite fish but not any more , shell dweller is my favorite for the past couple of years 😉
I just use a flamethrower
Throw a chunk of copper pipe, or a couple copper fittings into your filtration, you’ll have zero algae, I have it in my pond, and all my tanks
Flipper set: $300
Dollar store set: $3
Same item.
Haha, $300? The float is $49…
@@CichlidBros $50 still high for an algae scrubber lol. Maybe not to you..
