Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Tifa solo vs Sephiroth without using Limit Breaks, Heal, Magic or Tactical Mode in Hard mode and with style ! ( and without Parry spam 😉 ).
I had done this challenge before, using elemental materia and i felt lucky that Sephiroth used Fire infusion against my Ice. So i decided to redo this run without Elemental.

Tifa carries Cloud in every other aspect of his life. May as well in this battle, too.
Now that I think about it. Speedrunners basically 1v1 Safer Sephiroth with Tifa.
How is nobody talking about that brave frog giving the best support
I totally was enamoured with Tifa combat. It felt so fluid like you were playing street fight executing combos
Lol Sephiroth’s just like,”Begone” and refuses to taunt Tifa. She was the sole person to ruin all his plans and help Cloud fix his mind in the original FF7, so he’s super triggered about it. 🤣
Also, she's going to bang cloud and he's not.

Watching Tifa fights like this makes me wondering if I'm truly playing the same game. Being an old school, I prefer to use the turn base style and here you are playing Tifa as if this is a fighting game. Must admit, it seems more interesting, perhaps I'll try it myself.

One of my favorite things about the original was getting to let Tifa kick the shit out of Sephiroth in the final battle, payback for her father and her home. Here, you're doing it early!
God! Tifa is so fun to play. It only made me more frustrated that there wasn't a second shortcut for 4 more abilities

This makes me want to become a god at combat myself. I need to get as good as this. I love how fluid her actions seem, proper anime power fantasy right there. Tifa best girl forever.
Just had a funny thought, it would be hilarious if they kill her in the next one instead of Aerith. People have been complaining that it's needed for "emotional impact" but that's a hypocrisy. Since I guarantee you that killing Tifa would get 200% more emotional impact and I am sure most wouldn't want that.
That is why just killing characters doesn't seem like a good thing to me.
@@Leonhart_93 So uhh. Killing Tifa wouldn't do anything. Sure it would be emotional but she isn't connected to anything. Unlike Aerith. Let's ignore the ships and think about the story
@@MariusBoss11458 But that's the thing, everyone seemed to be concerned by how it lacks, I quote: "emotional impact", should they not kill her.
And of course they ignored any other story implications like Sephiroth not wanting to kill her anymore exactly because he knows what would happen in that case, which is the story reason. So story wise she won't die this time and it makes sense for it to be so.
The gameplay for the remake is severely underrated.
@@MariusBoss11458 Not necessarily true. Tifa is absolutely essential to Cloud's psyche. If she were to die, I doubt he would be able to continue on in any form of mental stability. Also, don't forget she helps him piece his mind back together when he gets Mako poisoning. Without Tifa finding him at the train yard to join Avalanche, Cloud would never have met Aerith nor gotten involved with the fight. Eventually this would cause him to succumb to the Jenova Cell Reunion. Sephiroth and Jenova would have continued growing stronger and stronger too...Who knows what would have happened from there. Surely he'd get the Black Material one way or another thus the end of the world and Safer Sephiroth is eventually born.
I cringed so hard when I saw how easily Cloud and Tifa cut through those flying pieces of concrete (during this fight), but remembered how they struggled so hard to get through a chain-linked fence door in the slums. 🙃
When your strong you tend to break things easily. That’s why you hold back but this leads to holding back to much. It’s like I can crush a apple with ease but when I make eggs I struggle because I don’t want to eat eggs shells later.
@@childelee2569 this doesn't make sense. Your trying not to get egg shell in your food but there is no reason to not break that fence. Are they planning on eating that fence later? No
@@Drawnartist it’s like when a body builder who can lift 300pounds, but when he holds his new born baby. His arms get heavy and he lifts her up slowly.

Like of cloud swung his sword with no power behind it it would just nounce off the fence or get stuck in it and if he used enough power to break it, it would destroy the ground and everything around it and probably not leave a big enough hole to fit through.
He could also just jump over it

I gotta say that I love what you are doing in these videos. These challenges are what I live for. I've been attempting a no materia, no equipment/accessory, and no sp upgrade run of the game. I've just made it passed hell house but that was my biggest wall yet.
Seeing your videos and the efficiency of your skill and knowledge of the game make me want to get even better. 👍

@@Avtenom for now I'm doing team. I didn't even expect to make it this far tbh. If I really hit a wall then I might add sp. And I started a fresh game so it's only normal difficulty now. On hard I'm definitely adding sp back. Or maybe equipment. (One of them)
With my old save file I'll definitely reset my sp and try the challenge against some bosses solo with cloud using chapter select.

The movement and dishes are so clean. I'm not even familiar with the game mechanics, but I know awesome skills when I see one.

Haven't played the game since it launched, and I admit, I didn't quite understand all the little nuances, playing on normal mode was already aggravating since I didn't figure out how to set up my characters properly or abuse the game mechanics in any way, and only played hard mode for a while before I got bored/distracted/annoyed and quit. But seeing videos like these does reignite my interest, FF7 is still one my favorite games, so I will get back to it one of these days, lol

Man this makes me feel so bad struggling thru hardmode and dying multiple times per boss fight. Very impressive tho! If you can beat sephy on HM with just Tifa, maybe I have a chance to beat HM if I keep trying!

Cutscene Tifa: Gets knocked out in one hit by Rude
To be fair, Rude has a whole gallery of sleep inducing abilities, he probably didn't even touch her, just threw some KO gas in her face. It's impossible to avoid these unless you have proper gear that makes you immune.
The fact this playstyle is mechanically supported makes me happy

Thanks. Yes she was. I turned her into frog with an accessory i equipped on her.
The frog helped more than cloud did😂

the only combo i'm using is for dodging : Parry(slide dodge) + Focused Strike.
For the rest of the moves, i'm just placing abilities whenever i can.

Impressive way to solo Sephiroth! One point I want to point out is that, according to my tests, using dive tick instead of true strike during Sephi’s double slash is safer and more efficient

How the hell is your ATB going up so quick? 😮 that being said, I want to fight like this, but uh...I probably would have to practice a bit to perfectly dodge them attacks like that. I'm trying to put hands on Sephiroth too! 👊🏻🤣
Too keep my ATB up, i use triangle attacks and Focused Strike ability (this ability consumes 1 atb bar but returns me 80% of it when i hit)
You should train your Tifa on chapter 10 Boss, Abzu. Really great to practice the perfect dodges. But it's hard.
