Great video, great content!
Thank you for your work what you have put in it!
Hendo is one of my all time favourite fighter👊👊
Thank you 🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Ditto, Dan and I are the same age and he was one of the inspirations to me to have an amateur fighting career in my 40s (along with co-legend old man Randy Couture)
Yeah.. really good video, on one of my all time favs. Thanks😊
The guys a stud and reminds me of so many of the most skilled, tough wrestlers I know. They tend to be laid back, no pretense or bullshit kind of guys. They always seem relaxed, they never lose their cool but don't let anyone fuck with them. They never posture but if somd clueless asshole is dumb enough to miss the tell tale signs of a guy you don't want to get in a fight with he will stay calm and give you as much as you deserve. Just a man's man and he brings that work ethic, conditioning, durability and the kind of toughness that is hard to find in MMA absent a guy with a wrestling background. Wrestling is practiced more intensely than any any other Uvaet of MMA so you have to knock them out or catch them in a submission. They just don't seem to get bullied.. or pushed Around.
@tpap6827 I too started watching Hendo a lot. Doesn't trash talk, just goes and systematically breaks you down with his all around game. Nice to have that right cocked and ready to go. Lastly Danno, thanks for bouncing bispings big bragging head off the ring apron after they both coached TV UFC fighter series.
It’s a sin that Hendo doesn’t get mentioned a lot. He was so good, very good work ethic, insane wrestling, inhuman KO power, and humble
A true pioneer an OG for sure!💯
I felt his pain when Hendo said, He'd wished that the judges scored what you l👀k like after the fight¡ Today's criteria for scoring he'd have most definitely retired as the oldest champion in UFC history forsure¡👑👴🏼🏨💣💯👊🏼😵🤕🏆
@@DocProcRealm I get what he means lol but if that was the case, the Diaz brothers and GSP would never win decisions lol
@@ferrm1992 again under the new scoring system damage is a criteria¡ 10 point must system is flawed for MMA anyway it's great for boxing trash when made to be used for MMA¡ That's on the f🙄kin athletic commissions though
Humble? Delivering career and possibly life altering shots AFTER his opponents are obviously out cold, you call that humble?! He is a dirty dirt bag POS!
Wrestled on the same team as Dan; California Jets, out of San Clemente. Always quiet and dedicated. I was a 136lb wrestler, so I didn’t roll with him much, but I knew he was a tough and driven guy. Not a big talker. I remember coach Bob fondly and the Jets were a big change in my life. Proud to have been on his team.
I went to Concordia and shore cliffs. The 80s in San Clemente were fast times at Ridgemont ⚀
Omg
That’s awesome. I went to high school with Phil Baroni and believe it or not he was pretty good wrestler.
@@yankees29The best eva!
@@djwoffy4960 hahaha yep exactly.🤣 Dude was crazy as a fox in High School.
He fought everybody! One of the toughest fighters ever in MMA if not the toughest. Great fighter!!!
God damn Hendo's father looked insane
Now we know where Costa got his secret juice recipe from
Dude was jacked on another level
They look very similar in the face .
@@karlarsenalfciswhatitis6636 Where else?
@@mattmergy7050 that pic was from the 70s when they didn’t even run a test base so that man put in some crazy work
The H Bomb is still one of the most terrifying and devastating strikes in all of MMA history! Very few human beings can receive one flush and not take a quick vacation to the netherworld.
Yeah once he found that right hand he became a different fighter and it added 10 years to his career.
And he threw it so quick and out of nowhere. His opponents couldn't seem to telegraph it.
The H bomb and cro cops left leg some of the scariest strikes
You said it
The build up to it better Michael was on him all season on ultimate fighter best knockout in MMA history
Hendo fights were mandatory watching back in the day.
I always enjoyed this man's style of fighting, always humble both winning and losing. A modern gladiator.
He has always been my #1 favorite fighter of all time. Win or lose he is my all time favorite.
Same here. Dan was my favorite since Pride
@@yankees29 Nice! Thats what's up
Agreed always been my favorite.
I went to a bar in Hawaii on my honeymoon..... by myself to watch UFC 100 mainly for the Hendo Bisping fight. I had not and still have not heard a reaction from a place like I did for that knockout.
I'm from oahu I wonder if you were there. It was a great experience
@rara2216 it was Lahaina, Maui, there's no chance of me remembering what the actual place was called
Indeed I leapt out my seat with that KO
His overhands were diabolically destructive! Awesome ground and control game with those heavy hands are a force to be reckoned with
I read an interview Bisping did. He said he got knocked into the previous month. While he was in the shower after the fight he kept asking what happened. His coaches kept telling him over and over that dan knocked him out and he kept replying that he doesn't fight hendo til next month. It wasnt until he was in the ambulance leaving the arena that he realized he must have been knocked out badly
Wow.
Goddam that's sick
That's KO Date 📅 Changing POWER!
I couldn't even imagine getting THAT KO'd! Not sure which KO was more brutal...Hendo/Bisping or Rashad/Chuck? Both are hard to watch.
@@BigtimeJuicer Rashad KO of Chuck was memorable the way Chuck just dropped, but I Hendo KO of Bisping was on another level, IMHO.
The fact that he competed at almost 50 years old is amazing. His conditioning and heart were like a lion.
Hendo's the definition of a living legend. It was glorious getting to watch his career.
Oh my god i miss this time so much. The UFC or MMA was so different between today and past. No trasht, no fucking words, only warriors with heart
I am only 13, but I watch all theses old fights on youtube with my dad. I am a wrestler myself and wanna fight mma when I get older and dream about being a champion. I respect combat sports for sure, and try to carry myself like the old warriors. Dan Henderson is a legend!
I teared up at the end. I’ve been watching Hendo since his Pride days. A true Legend.
Hendo never lost to Bisping, no matter what them crooked ass judges say
He beat the breaks off him twice.
One of my favorite fighters of all time.
Under the new judging criteria. Hendo beat bisbing in that second fight. A classic non the less. Hendo is a legend.
Just look at the damage. Bisping looked pretty fooked up. Dan looked fine….
Yea he got robbed big time.
Yes totally.bisbing survived.dan had 2 10-8 rounds and bisbing's face looked like ground hamburger.
I thought he won under the old criteria.
The fight was in England and Dan said he was done win or lose. He should have known he would have to get a KO to win.
Henderson is the prime example of toughness in this era of MMA. These guys were just tough guys and fighters who used athletics to rise to the top. These days it’s athletes who are building toughness to get to the top. Much respect to all obviously but this was my favorite generation of MMA and Henderson is a perfect example of it
Yeah, Henderson was a straight fight dog. Same for Wandy. They're fighters even before they were fighters.
Hendo was always right up with my very favourite fighters. A true fighter.
Bisping: This Belt's stayin right here buddy.
Hendo: Yeah, i think they bring me a new one.
XD love Dan Henderson
I met Hendo at a post-fight party. That man is a genuinely classy and professional HOFer. I took a photo with him and even at 42-43 ish, his arm felt like a telephone pole. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Dan Henderson is special beast
Sad that Dan never won the ufc gold. He was robbed in the second bisping fight.
Whats sad , he was a two Division Champ in LITERALLY the best Roster of Fighters on the whole planet from 2000'-2007' , ONE of those Pride belts are more Prestigious than all the UFC belts combined! Yes he got robbed in the Bisping Rematch but he already accomplished Greatness in a valley of Beasts. It's not sad at all, UFC belts are given out to who sells the most tickets not who deserves it the most, you can win 10 fights in a row, beat 5 TOP 10 opponents......and still not get a shot at the belt, that just shows you how worthless the UFC Championship really is 🙄
@@michaelpaiva9924 Agree COMPLETELY. Hendo won in PRIDE and that's all that matters. The UFC has been a joke for a long time.
@@NickyBobby-wx6igthe UFC isn’t a joke though is it. Honestly, people who bang on about Pride all the time and how everything is a joke now, it gets boring AF. Just appreciate it for what it is, there are some great fighters and great fights today (and yeah, I am old enough to remember before you ask)
@@tylerdurden4289 Too many rules, bad stoppages all the time, too many money fights, too much entertainment value and less about fighting skill, the rankings don't make any sense. I'm not here to watch some dude with a manbun talk a big game on the microphone, i'm here to watch two people with honor and respect fight it out to see who the best is. Which is something the UFC has lost. Yeah, there are still some decent fighters who fit the criteria but overall the UFC just seems like it's going with what's trendy in today's world, and today's world is feminine as all get out.
@@NickyBobby-wx6ig when you have 2 events a month, with 13+ fights on each fight card, you are going to have bad stoppages. It happens, it isn’t the UFC’s fault, that would be the commissions fault.
Have you watch any boxing within the last 30 years? They throw on maybe 40 fights a year and 70% of them are terrible, paid for, bullshit decisions. Don king era ring a bell? Money mayweather? Bob arum? Golden boy? Yeah…take what you can get and try to make logical complaints.
Also also, most pride fighters have come out and stated a lot of the matches were rigged, so the illustrious pride belt…really was a bullshit tainted belt. Don’t get me wrong, amazing fighters and fights happened in pride, but when everyone is doped up and hopped up due to lack of drug testing…meh. No so prestigious
Thank you for all your hard work! This was amazing! Henderson was the guy I grew up watching in Pride Championship.
A True Pioneer
Glad you enjoyed it!
Indeed.
Well done.
Kept it under 40 mics.
"Although Henderson suffered a broken jaw due to a punch, he continued to fight, securing the win..."
Well, if that isn't a defining sentence for one of the toughest dudes to ever live I don't know what is.
Met Dan at Fedor's Retirement fight at Bellator in California.. couple years ago.. Took picture with him, and many other Old School MMA Fighters.. Dan was very friendly and seemed like a great Guy.
Yeah, in those face-offs where they touch gloves right before the fight, Dan always has a little sly smile while the other guy tries to look tough.
He actually spoke to me on Facebook a few times. Surprised me. Nice guy
My favorite fighter all time. He threw that overhand right like a fastball, and it was lights out if you were in front of it! He had the wrestling pedigree and serious striking. Watching him catch Bisping with that overhand was amazing. Crocop had the left high kick and Dan had the overhand right. Get caught with either of those and straight to the hospital 😆
Holy shit, Hendo's dad is fuckin jacked!
I was looking for this comment!
I love this guy. Most beautiful overhand right I've ever seen. And that follow up drop down bomb?! Perfection
one of best of all times .
Much love and blessings from Adriatic coast of Croatia
The coast of Croatia is a beautiful place. I wish more people knew about. Hands down one of my favorite vacation spots.
My carry gun is made in Croatia
Hendos pop looked hardcore too
Your documentaries are so good great work.
Glad you like them! Thanks!
Henderson absolutely my favorite fighter of all time ❤
I love how he stomps that overhand in there
Salute to clinched teeth as well as Dan Henderson . I don’t think I’ve missed any of your videos .
Thank you brother! 🙏
My favorite fighter ever...I didnt know his dad was the incredible hulk though, dude was jacked in that picture. I appreciate that you also show his losses as well. I hate when people do videos like these and make them seem undefeated. IMO Henderson won that last fight against bisping. UFC just didnt want a 46 yr old champion because of how it would make them look
Hendo went out with a win in my eyes !
Been living here in temecula California for 25 years. His gym is 5 minutes away. Huge fan of this legend
Legend
There will never be another Pride FC. Such a wonderful time to be a fan and watch so many great styles clash.
Epic video. From a 40 year old MMA fan from the start, UFC1, you did amazing work here my friend. Hats off to you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
His dad was my PE teacher for 7th and 8th grade. Our class met him when he stopped by one day to pay his dad a visit. This was in 1992 he was training for the summer olympics. Both father and son were super cool to me and my friends. Since then I’ve always rooted for him.
He’s top five my favorite fighters of all time. The all American. He’s so quiet and chill really laid back.
I wrestled during Hendo's High School wrestling years back in the late 80's and let me tell you we had a monster at his weight class and he destroyed our guy and did anything he wanted to. Crazy fun to have seen how this amazing individual elevated to.
Dan Henderson and Don Frye are my two favorites. This is a great video, great work! I remember ufc 100 very well. My cousin had the pay-per-view and all the beer. What a great party that was and I was super ready for the Henderson fight and got what I wanted to see!
Dan Henderson is a legend in mma. One of the best in the world.
Very Bisping-like to fight Hendo when he was on his way out for his ego, and barely eeked it out even then. Wouldn't have stood a chance any earlier
Dan clearly beat him up. Badly! And he KNOW´S it!
My favorite fighter. Never backed down and fought the best at the drop of a hat. Insanely well rounded in all facets of fighting.
ON POINT with those timpani drum strikes and slight lens shakes timed to Hendo’s h-bomb rights in slow mo near the end of the video. Man, I could watch those all day. Subscribed. 🤘
Great documentary on an MMA icon and legend… well done bro 🫡
Thank you! I’m happy you liked it!
The goat! Love you brother. Great work.
Much appreciated!
that right that finishes Fedor is one of the best ever. iconic!
Hendo an all time favorite...tough guy
This is forever my favorite fighter to ever live. When he slide underneath and launched that uppercut underneath the armpit I lost it. If I remember that fight was free on tv.
Hendo vs. Shogun was one of the best fights of all time.
In my humble opinion Dan Henderson is the greatest fighter in the history of MMA. Between one night tournaments, pure thunder right hand and his size, I’ve never seen anything like him.
Hands down one of my top 3 favorite fighters of all time. I watched the first fight with bisping and remember losing my mind as he flew through the air! Just an epic moment in the sport and my favorite knockout of all time.
I wish Hendo a long healthy life, He will always be remembered and celeberated
as one of the greatest MMA fighter of all times.👊💪
Hendo almost killed Bisping w that last punch. Bisping said he had killer headaches and dizziness for months after that. Along w depression and not being able to watch the fight
Hendo is one of my favorite fighters. Great video and what a amazing career Dan had.
Your videos are absolutely amazing. You should have so many subs. Thanks for everything you do brother. God bless you
Dan Henderson is and will always be my favorite fighter.
And will always be the original Double Champ.
Hendo fought the best of the best!! Always puts on a show, her never never quit. And he doesn’t turn down a fight.
My favorite fighter of all time. the personification of fighter's fortitude.
Brawlers have always always been my favorite type of fighter and Henderson was HIM. Dude had a literal atomic bomb in his right hand
Hendo won that second fight against Bisping.impo. I think Silva and that deaf guy beat Bisping as well . UFC gifted Bisping so much just to build the market in the UK . I don’t like when politics is involved in combat sports.
Im going to cry thinking all these fighters are huge for their weight classes and dan was jumping up classes to fight guys thats really nuts
And it cannot be overstated how big a disadvantage he put himself in doing so.
That's why guys like hendo, bj Penn, Frankie Edgar and guys like that deserve so much respect
This was pretty darn awesome. Thanks for the upload
Glad you enjoyed it!
To fight a roided out Wand in Pride at that time was a terrifying proposition. Then to beat him like that in the rematch. I remember watching that live and losing my mind. Hendo will always be my favourite fighter
In my humble Opinion Dan henderson was one of the Truly great fighters, But more than this, I think he was a humble man. Who always respected his opponents without insulting like what it's now very common... He acted like a man. He fought like a man. I really believe He was and still is
a role model for young man and Fighters.... God bless you, man.
Dan is one of my all time favorite fighters. I was surprised he didn’t get the decision in the rematch with Bisping. He definitely won. Love ya Hendo.
Wow!!! He looks exactly like his dad looked in that pic right at the beginning of the video.
Fantastic documentary brother. Well researched and well put together, smooth editing. Will def be checking out more shit from this channel for sure. Keep it up my dude!
Thank you! Welcome on board!
Trashes his opponent and then comes right up to check on him. Classy, gentlemanly act.
One of the baddest men to grace the octagon, period.
Great video once again
Bro one of the baddest men on the planet!
Hendo single-handedly made me not only a fight fan, but convinced me to join MMA.
This guy is the definition of a champion!! What a humble man!!
Dan absolutely won that second fight with Michael.
Dan, Chuck, Randy, and so many others are the pioneers of the sport. Never underestimate the heart and will of a champion. You guys will never be forgotten, Legends never die. 💪💪💪
Dan was just an animal. Very solid chin, fantastic wrestling, and he threw punches like he was trying to take off his opponent’s head.
One of the most entertaining fighters ever
Also remember him beating toquinho. Hendo smartly kept it standing and avoided toquinho’s leg attacks. Toquinho was known for his knee bars and holding the submission too long.
This video deserves way more likes than 4000 plus likes. Lets go viewers. Hit that thumb 👍
Dan is one of those fighters I USED to hate “decision Dan” that completely earned my fandom. I 100% believe he lost his fights to Goes and Newton in UFC 17, and I believe a blind 3 year old could see he lost to Big Nog in Rings. But even still, the man fought back through ANYTHING and won belts in almost every major organization. He’s a legend.
Growing up, Hendonwas always my fave! Absolutely a bad mfer! So fun to watch and chill as they come.
Just wished he won that title fight against bisping what a legend
Just found your channel and subscribed. You put a ton of effort into putting these together. Hats off man! Its like a trip down memory lane watching these. I count myself lucky to have "grown up" with MMA during this time
The fact he made a company logo off killing a certified legend should let you know. Dan the dawg.
My all time favorite! Right up there with Randy!
Met Dan in 2010 while training at Team Quest West (in Tualatin OR), he came up for an event they were doing. Not only is the guy a legend but he was super chill and not full of himself. He was standing around chatting with a group of nobodies, shooting the shit and telling stories from Pride, etc.
Hendo is such a legend! Can't think of a match where he ever disappointed! Even when he didnt win, it was still a spectacle. Easily top 10 (all time) in my opinion!!
Dan Hendo Henderson was my favorite MMA fighter, I started with a wrestling as well, no I've got seven years as a Muay Thai practitioner and four years in Jiu Jitsu as well, now I'm 16-2 in the Cage...
Wrestling and boxing are the two most important arts to have. Hendo is a legend!! 🥊🥇
I remember jumping around my apartment when you knocked out Tim B at 46 years old
You were one of my heroes
Dan Henderson is a living martial art Legend he's an incredible fighter but when I look at a photo of his father I see a man with perfect genetics much love to the Henderson family from Warrior to another
thanks for making the vid man
It was Henderson's left hook that knocked out Vanderlei in their second match up. The right that landed while Silva lay there, already asleep, was just icing for him, the way it was vs. Bisbing.
I caught that too
great videos man! subscribed!! i was watching hendo live on TV from pride through UFC, badass dude, respectful always! HOF!!
This dude is way better than i thought! I've watched ufc & pride since '1994!! So many fights can't see them all haha i guess! Savage ass H 💣🤜💣H
My favourite fighter of all time. Love me some Hendo!
