I'm paying $90ish annually for each Hawaiian and Alaska charge cards. Wondering if these will merge where I would only have to pay one $90ish annual fee.
I don't believe a word this guy says. While it may be seen as a good thought for Hawaiian, no matter what he says, some "crisis" within a few years will lead to the elimination of the iconic Hawaiian brand.
You better believe it. The blow ups happen about every 7-10 years 9/11- financial crisis 2008, Pandemic . It’s a tough business where pretty much everyone in the industry ends up being a liar at some point .
This is great news for Alaska. In a decade Hawaiian will be mostly inter island. Alaska is headed towards being one of the big 5. I wonder if JetBlue and Alaska might merge in the future too.
$2billion spent to maybe be able to compete, already announcing layoffs. Sounds similar to the $3billion wasted on Virgin to become the largest carrier at SFO. Seems like a desperate attempt to become too big to fail. The EPS of this airline are telling. I’m sure buying unprofitable HA will really change the trajectory. 😂😂😂
And the alternative is to continue to let Hawaiian lose a million a month until it can no longer sustain itself and go under. Still only one left standing.
Hawaiian pilot here... stoked about this merger... going to be a good example of synergy.
What about my home page VlD? Can this be explained?
How did this merge happen but not spirit JetBlue?
Kudos to his stylist

Wondering if air miles and credit cards will be interchangeable
They will be 1:1, Great news for mileage plan members
In the end it will boil down to a single credit card.
Not just interchangeable but transferrable between Alaska and Hawaiian mileage plans.
I hope they keep the A330's mainland to Hawaii. (Far better passenger experience than Alaska's 737 Max.)

How is a 25% layoff being announced this week good?
Hawaiian is swallowing a poison pill, actually it was swallowed already.

😂😂😂
This government don’t like JetBlue. JetBlue is the only airline their merger has been blocked and the rest was allowed. 😂😂😂

@@GreenTigerCA yes that's life. Guessing you're a big fan of bailouts.
