Ive been using a manual pickup ( ford ranger) as a daily driver for several months now, and I can attest how bumpy and uncomfortable the ride quality is especially in the city traffic and highway. I can never get used to how bad the ride comfort is. Super torquey that it lunges forward even if you release the clutch slowly on traffic. You were right! I should get sandbags and load it , since when the truck is super loaded, you get the comfortable ride. Nevertheless, I like the design Mitsubishi gave this truck, giving the Macho vibes. I just hope they bring the Lancer back!
You are absolutely right. That's living the truck life! If they tweak that formula to make it lean more towards comfort, then why buy a truck at all? There are some "truck crossovers" that I wish they introduce here such as the Ridgeline, Maverick and Santa Cruz! I wonder how they drive?
with diesel prices being sky rocketed these days, I think it's time for these compact pickup/PPV's to bring back their 2.4l gasoline option. As well as 2.7l gasoline from Toyota Hilux/Fortuner
Yes! I totally agree :-) while diesel trucks and SUVs provide gobs of torque, it's hard to minimize the harshness of the engine. Gasoline powered vehicles are just more refined and if done right, can be more powerful! V6 with a turbo maybe? :-)

13:49 I've been seeing Triton videos from Cambodia (also left hand drive like here in our motherland) where it's equipped with a 360° camera system. What gives Mitsubishi? Must one import a Strada from Cambodia just to have that very useful feature? One could of course have it installed by a third party these days but there's nothing like assurance from an inhouse installation.
You may think it's time but there's a reason they've been discontinued; them gasoline options are simply just unsuitable for heavy hauling. Diesel is still the way to go as far as trucking and heavy hauling is concerned. The diesel engine makes more torque and therefore it requires a beefier driveline in order to cope. Translation: Everything surrounding a diesel engine of a diesel powered vehicle is fortified to a point so that it's guaranteed to last virtually forever. Forever in this case being about 30 years or more.
@@evilshep1581 diesel and gasoline powered cars certainly have their own pros and cons :-) a gasoline powered engine can be as durable as diesel ones if done right :-)
I don’t usually like trucks but this is nice. I’m a fan of Mitsu. I have a Mirage. If they brought trucks like these here to the US & other models like the Pajero & the Triton I’d bet they’d sell pretty well. I like the brand & their philosophy behind making a car. I hope it regains popularity again here in the US.
Sana Black ung headliner nia and so as the 4x2 black athlete (since black series), may car apple play and android and may key lock sana ung tailgate kc useless bumili ng roller lid with locks eh. Looking at the Mitsubishi Oman page, I believe that the Strada is called the L200 there :-). Interestingly, the L200 name was offered here before it was switched to the Strada.
That's it. I'm sold. Getting this in June 2023 when I go for vacation in the Philippines. 😉
I'm sure that you wouldn't regret picking this!
Me too this July but I choose 4x2 yan lng Kaya ng budget. I also wonder ano Kaya difference ng GLS sa 4x2 versus sa Athlete 4x2

I used to keep a metal tool box in the back of my truck before. I don't own a truck now. It helped with the ride comfort. I miss the lancer as well.

We definitely hope Mitsubishi is going back to its roots-a new Ralliart Triton would definitely win people over here and there in the US!
