Wow Stan, once again a visit in Paradise! Once again tension right from the start when you stopped and took off your backpack...but...the next clip showed you continuing your hike. I leaned back. :) Then you found your camping spot; right among huge Grizzly tracks. No thank you! Even though the landscape in the video that ended with a view at the Tetons has to be the most beautiful piece of earth on our planet, I still would have to turn you down were you to invite me to join you. We would not go far and we would go slow! I see one grizzly print and I would see a grizzle behind every tree and bush! I would sit up shake until you awaken and then I would finally fall asleep. You would think at 82 I would know average things about wildlife and since I love wildlife, I should have known that Roosevelt elk bark like dogs. No , I did not! I replayed it three times and it made me laugh each time. Back to bears; I can endure a black bear habitat feeling only average caution and I know they can be dangerous too if they hunt you. It's just that grizzlies are the most ferocious and evil tempered predators who turn into mindless killing machines once aroused. It's a good thing they mostly ignore us and I always wonder when I watch you hike along how many are watching your journey and never raise an eyebrow. Thank you Stan! I will certainly watch the video again with my afternoon coffee. Then I stop it here or there and look at everything there is.

@@michaelgutkoski6584 I have to agree with you. Both of those elk stayed right with me for about half an hour. It didn’t want to go towards them and bother them because I was pretty sure they both had calves over there.

@@StanMills Your videos tell many amazing stories Stan. I received the same welcome from a mama elk on the Joe Brown trail in the Paradise Valley. She paralleled us for about 1/4 mile 50 yards away up the hillside barking all the way. Then she doubled back, presumably back to her calf.

Always enjoy your trips and videos. They are a welcome break from Florida's flat land , heat and humidity. I have the habit of watching and looking for trees 7 paces apart , thinking that would be a great place to hang my hammock. You had a winner , trees , a grand view and running water. Yes Sir , great camping areas , wildlife and beautiful scenery.

Sasquatch, doing a little personal hygiene on his feet. No big deal. There is a small tribe of them in that area. They are harmless, unless they decide to make a science experiment out of you.

I lived in the park for four years and thought I had hiked every trail there. But now I see that I missed one. That Cow was telling you to get lost! Most people hike just to get from the trail head to the objective and the can't remember what they passed in between. You soak it all in and focus in on the smallest creatures as part of the experience. I'm coming down from Cooke to hike with you.
