The track is a 1/2 mile loop, they have to ease it in on each of the 2 hairpin turns per lap, and gun it on the straights. The banked turns make it easier to get the car to where you want it to be, and also give the car extra momentum via gravity when on the outside of the turns
And centrifugal force trying to make them slid and hit the wall. Whoever can make their car's tires grip the best which will allow them to go faster has a better chance of winning the race.@@AshlynJones123
Well it is just a shame you will not take the time to understand the sport. You have no idea what you are missing. A lot better then those Ugly as F1 with engines that sound like a bee. Besides we get to see the whole race. Not just a very small area of the race track like F1.

I get the point of swaying side to side before the green flag, but why is he dropping back and then gunning it like that? Spinning the tires for more grip?
Air expands when hot, so it expands the tyre by increasing internal air pressure, thus getting the tyre to race temperature via thermal transfer. This also increases the overall tyre pressure and makes the tyre bigger, which aids grip, as more rubber on the road means more grip :)

More rubber on the road can mean more wear on the tyre, however, with more rubber does come more grip, so it's a cost/benefit analysis
