I lived at Ft. Hancock from 1966 to 1967 when my father died. I visited a few times since. Thanks for the tour and info. God bless you

Growing up in the 60's we would go to Sea Bright beach. Later in the 70's Sandy Hook was kind of run down. We started going to Manasquan because the northern beaches were dirty. Lotsa red tide. Anyway in the 80's I started sailing & hanging with people who would go out to Horseshoe Cove on the Hook. The first time I saw Officers Row I thought they were condos! Didn't know any of the history. Someone told me the were designed by Stanford White.

I lived here on Ft. Hancock in 1963 as a kid in the 8th grade. Loved this place and thank you for the tour!

The cost of one submarine could probably restore all those buildings. I grew up in Highlands. Lived there my first 22 years, left about 48 years ago. We used to sneak on to the base and the NORAD command center on the hill in Highlands often. It was pretty easy. Thanx for vid. I had seen all of this first hand but the added history was well worth the watch. Who is performing the music score in the background?

What would General George S. Patton have made of Gunnison Beach?
