Of the infinite blessings that Pastor Lutzer has given to me and the church, this 15 minutes is and will be to God's glory and man's benefit with immeasurable assistance to pastors. This talk is for this age and all the ages to come. Thank you, Pastor Lutzer. And thank you, Jesus.
This was SO HELPFUL!!! I graduated from Gordon Conwell Seminary and I was taught the importance of having a single main idea (i.e. subject and complement). But a main idea cannot function or "preach" on its own. I believe the keywords are the highways through which the main idea (like a vehicle) can travel through. Thank you for this.
Dear Pastor please accept my sincere and profound gratitude. These 17 minutes would surely help me save hours of preparation, over the period of time. God bless you today and always. Well I have a suggestion to make. You really didn’t have to restrict it to 15-17 minutes. Those of us who have benefited, I am sure, would have loved for you to practically share an outline, picking up a particular passage from the scriptures.

This was so helpful! Thank you. I kept finding myself using the word "things" which gets old really fast and isn't very helpful. I have used this method in my sermons and it is a great tool and help! Thanks for taking the time to share and teach! Excellent lesson Pastor Lutzer.
Hello Dear Brother!! I believe I have all of your books, and I have to admit that I love them all. My wife simply loves your sermons too. This has been very helpful to me and perhaps will be more important to my congregation! Love to listen to Running to Win as well. You take care and God bless you and your family very abundantly!!!
Excellent video Pastor Lutzer, and I found it at the perfect time, I have 2 sermons to deliver this month and really didn't like them as I had them constructed, this information helped me to immediately see what I needed to change to deliver the message I had in my mind
Yes! I learned this as a “transition sentence quote as part of the proposition package. The proposition is restating the exegetical theme by way of a timeless truth. Then you present an interrogative and a transition sentence using the ‘plural noun’ to show how the passage will answer the interrogative based upon the proposition. Blessings! Preach with conviction!
Thank you so much for the teaching! I am sharing it with my brother-in-law who started to pastor a church, and other people who preach occasionally. I have listened and benefited greatly from your teaching. I did hear the seriesTen lies about God and even printed out the script before I got the book😉. Wish you would preach more , and have new series coming up. I was sad when you decided to retire from the position of Senior pastor of Moody Church. Thanks again for your teaching, and please give us more of your teaching
Thanks for your encouragement @Dorcas Liu! Pastor Lutzer continues to speak, write, and travel on behalf of The Moody Church as Pastor Emeritus since he changed roles in 2016. He doesn't plan to retire anytime soon! His successor to the role of Senior Pastor, Philip Miller, has been preaching on Sundays at The Moody Church with the same commitment to expository teaching. You can visit moodymedia.org to get the latest teaching and resources as well as 3+ decades of sermons available for free. You can also keep up with Pastor Lutzer's weekly video blog here: th-cam.com/channels/1LXh-9ZXrWTrm3J5AQXG5g.html.
Great help, Expository Studying by Joel James is an excellent resource that is a free pdf and it covers this idea of plural noun propositions and how to analyze a passage. I hope it will be helpful to anyone wanting more! God bless you in your service to the Lord!
Gracias, Pastor Lutzer!
Saludos.
So is this just to get ideas on what you want to talk about in our sermons? I had to do an inspirational message today and at first I didn’t know how to put it together. I mainly used the word of God to support my key points
Thank you. It’s been hard to prepare especially when I don’t get the opportunity to preach often. This will be helpful because I get stuck with too many references and notes. 😊✝️🦋
Always a blessing hearing Dr. Lutzer. Is there any way you can share the other key words? I am sure there may be some that I may be able to use that are not quite often used.
@jeffreycrosby1557, in addition to the key word sheet Moody Church Media has available, Pastor Lutzer also recommended this book where the key words concept is elaborated upon: www.moodypublishers.com/biblical-preaching-for-todays-world/
