Cracking CAT In My First Attempt And Getting Into IIMA | CAT 2024 Secrets By Muskaan, 99.45%iler

- Muskaan Chauhan is an Economics graduate from Shiv Nadar University who scored a 99.45% on her first CAT attempt. Her sectional breakup was VARC - 95.61%ile | LRDI - 99.51%ile | QA - 98.3%ile
She did not know much about LRDI or Quants concepts when she started out and therefore spent considerable time building her concepts only post which she went to taking mocks. She made it to IIM Ahmedabad in her first attempt itself and says that her focus on doing 55% of the paper right helped her go from a weak LRDI and Quants to a 99.51 and 98.3 percentile on both respectively.

Every para can be summarised into a single point. So we finish reading a para and can write down what we understood till the last one. From that we can analyse the overall theme of that particular rc. We don't have to write down complete sentences.

8-10 months is an ideal time if you're preparing full time but if you want to start early go for it.

I got into IIM-B last year 2022. It's been a mind-boggling journey full of ups and down. Although I was pretty stubborn about self-study approach only, but at a certain point I realized the need of having a properly-curated study material. So, for that purpose I joined a coaching near my residence in Pune. But as I started with the classes, everything apparently turned out to be an eye-opener to me. I came to know that I had been approaching the concepts in a wrong way. The classes became something that I couldn't afford to miss out on at that point.
