In an ocean of gurus that charge you way too much for a course or mentoring, your videos are extremely refreshing. Thank you for presenting such valuable information and knowledge for free
Giving actual value for free without asking for anything in return is so powerful as you show in this video. The funny thing is, you are doing that as well. We get that incredible valuable video for free without you asking for anything in return. That makes me trust you so much more and want to pay you instead of the other copywriting coaches who just stuff their course into your throat. You see, Copywriting isn't just writing copy. It's a skill... and the cool part is, you see it everywhere. Even my comment is copy because I want you to read it. So, keep your eyes open for copy and become a master at it by absorbing and understanding it as much as you can. The best 20min outreach video ever! (and I've seen too many...)
Now this is great copy. You got my attention for sure! I appreciate your feedback, Pascal. Hit me up if you have any questions about building a copywriting business.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. That's exactly it. It takes more effort. In 2024, there's more competition than ever before as a copywriter, so you need to go above and beyond to "wow" potential clients and stand out. This is the way to do it.

Hi Brandon, Could you share how you organize your outreach process? I’m interested in tips for managing prospects and follow-ups using Excel or other tools. Also, would you be open to mentoring me? If so, how should I reach out to you? Thanks!
Hey Priyanshu, I have a prospect outreach spreadsheet / strategy that I give my paid mentorship students. I might do a video on that another time. The main thing is to just keep track of who you're reaching out to, what their response is, link to any audits/samples you've given them, etc. so you can follow up appropriately. For more info on mentorship, email me brandon@storeycopywriting.com with the word "Mentorship" :)
Your price primarily depends on the impact your copy will have on the business. But, when you’re first starting out, price should be the last thing to focus on. You need to build up case studies whether it’s for free or cheap. Those will land you $1k+ clients later.
Although it does seem like it would work, the problem is analysing and pointing out one's emails as well as rewriting them takes a LOT of time. That way, since I have college and all, I'll not be able to do more than 3 outreaches per day. Isnt that like very low for you to land a client?
Yeah, it takes more time. Providing more value and putting in more effort takes time. But you know what, you're going to completely obliterate the competition with this strategy. Even if you just did ONE per day, you'll land a client faster than the guy spamming 100 non-personalized cold emails per day. I know this because this is how the majority of my coaching students are landing paid clients in 30 days.
Thank you very much sir, I wanted to ask one question that "Can I pitch one person in a day with both audit and welcome email" and "I know not all are gonna reply but If I outreach 20 people a month" How many will reply me...(ANY GUESS sir) But You give us a massive value sir thank you , I was doing similar outreach but not this level of outreach is enough to get response.
sorry sir I write wrong at the end of this comment I wanted to say "not this level of outreach, my previous outreach is not maybe enough to get response"
Hey Sami, Yes you absolutely can pitch one person per day with an audit/welcome email. That's the best approach in my opinion. The goal is to get them to reply to a regular conversation first, and then send the audit/sample to people who reply. They're more likely to see the audit/sample then. I can't tell you exactly how many people will reply. It all depends on how good your writing/audit is. Most of my mentorship students are seeing about 30-50% reply rates from the people they send audits/samples to.
@@samisami7296 first message in DMs to start a convo about their social content, and if there’s a reply, then you do the audit and sample and send to them
Outreach being somewhat of a numbers game. For example, I aim to do 50 outreaches every day, but it seems impossible to provide personalized value to all 50. How should I handle this? Maybe outreaching to 48 generally, and 2 (the most interesting ones) with value (audit, copy?)
I would just aim to do less then. You'll get higher response rates when you give MORE with each outreach. The key is to figure out how to find the right people to do this with.
@@naturemacro098 that’s exactly right. You can either go high volume, low value like most people do (cold emails/cold DMs). Or do this approach - low volume, high value. 70% of my students are landing their first paid client in one month with this method.

I have a question though, how do I figure out who to send this to? And will they click on a link from a random person telling them they made a free audit?
Figure out your niche first. That's step one. So pick an industry/target market. Ideally 3-50k followers, making $20-$100k/month in revenue, and is spending money on marketing already. They're more likely to click a link from a random person when you give them valuable tips in the DMs, and if you are already in a conversation with them in DMs and you warmed them up.
