Appalling ! The developments look like sets for dystopian movies about engineered people and their habitats. Maybe sunshine would relieve this impression. I have, however, seen many charming villages in England, which may be why I recoil at some of these developments.
It sounds like the architectural style might not be to your taste, but perhaps sunshine could indeed brighten the perspective. Natural light often has a transformative effect on our surroundings. Give it a chance to see if it changes your impression!
It sounds like the architecture and layout of the area might not be to your liking. Everyone has different preferences when it comes to living spaces. Fortunately, there are many diverse neighborhoods to explore, each with its own unique charm. If you're looking for something different, perhaps exploring other areas would be more to your taste.
@@LondonBusRider might be worth exploring, but honestly what I have seen of London and a few other cities, will give it a wide berth.. Will concentrate on the country towns on our visit.
Exploring country towns sounds like a wonderful alternative! Each place has its own charm and character to discover. Enjoy your visit and the unique experiences that country towns have to offer. If you ever change your mind or decide to explore urban areas in the future, London and other cities will be waiting to welcome you. Safe travels! 🌳🏘️

It's like some low cost council housing development on a never ending scale.
Yuk, what a depressing area, does no one live on a separate block of land, just rows and rows of these awful, ugly homes. No thanks.
