Incredibly, Vanguard was able to make a great photo bag without taking its customers for pigeons by selling its bags at stratospheric prices.

This couple wins the award for the most hospitable couple ever on TH-cam. Do I detect a Swedish accent? Would the side pocket fit a gripped camera? Or even the BMPCC6k plus battery?

The side pocket fits my Canon c70 with room to spare: thats with an ef 85 mm usm l.
So it totally would fit a battery gripped camera or the BMPCC6k pro with grip.
And yes Linus and Jacob are Swedes, Amanda is Canadian. Just for the record Linus is married to a lovely Swedish lady and its actually Jacob and Amanda who are married. But we have all been great friends for years lol. Thanks for watching and thanks so much for the kind comments!

Thank you for the video! It really helped me decide! I however want the smallest one available, did you see that one too?

We didn’t test the T37 but I loved the T45 so much I bought an extra one in blue!
The T37 is going to be similar but you will definitely lose the 16” laptop capacity!

Very useful video! I really liked the sleek design of this bag and the high quality materials. However, I wish it had a zip on the top to access the top compartment. I guess this makes it safer but not very practical. All the other pockets are too small and flat to be useful for anything other than a small notebook and not safe to put a wallet or passport. I returned it and got a Tarion PB-01 instead. The design is very messy and the materials not that great but it is half the price of the Vanguard and it's very versatile. It has separate access to the top and bottom compartment, a 'child' bag which can be used separetely and plenty of other pockets. Most importantly, you can take out the laptop without opening any of the camera compartments.

Totally can agree. The smaller Range series the T45 is built totally different, I actually have an Eos R5 with a 70-200mm lens in the front pocket- I couldn’t understand why they didn’t build the bigger T48 the same way.
As for Tarion- I ordered back in September a bag called the Tarion zone. It’s supposed to arrive in March. It looks incredibly well thought out. It will be our first Tarion to test!
Thanks so much for the comments!

Hi there thanks for your fantastic review it pretty much covers all I needed to know but the question is do you think I can fit a mirrorless camera with a 70-200 f2.8 mounted plus a small gimbal like Ronin SC2 in it?

    • @soldoutmedia8025
      @soldoutmedia8025  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes definitely! That being said you should check out the T45 Veo Range video we did as well. I have been using both all summer and the T48 fits an unreal amount of equipment- I think we weighed it with 30 kgs of kit in it.
I carry the T45 with a Canon r5 and 70-200 in it and the Ronin Rsc 2 folded with room to spare. The T48 can easily take a bigger gimbal and two canon r bodies with lenses.
We have a field challenge airing soon featuring the T48. Thanks for the question and if there is anything else you want us to check out with these bags just let us know!

Is it well protected exterior for hiking and desert adventure photography?

This is a tough bag for sure.
The only thing I couldn’t say for sure is just how much it could hold out on really fine blowing sand. The zippers are all pretty tightly sealed but I would almost think you would need more covered zippers. That being said if you use the rain cover it comes with it should be fine. The zippers are pretty tight and resist water. I have it in my hand as I’m writing you lol.
      Hope this helps!

I'm watching all these backpack review videos wondering, will my 6K Pro fit in there?, looking up dimensions, etc. and there you go, pulling one right out.

You ca get the 6k pro in this guy, I would put it in the top access though as it’s annoying to get in and out of the side access. The T48 version of this is a tank I could fit bot the pocket 6k pro and the canon c70 at the same time!

Look like a less durable Lowepro Protactic. Cheaper zippers no hard top.

When I ordered this originally I thought the same thing. But I have had the Range T45, which is slightly smaller in this series, as my everyday carry to work since September. What fits in this bag is insane and I find it easier to organize than the Lowepro. Of course different people have different needs and the Protactic is an incredible backpack.
The zippers are solid. The last two weeks I have had an Eos R5 with a 70-200mm in the top access, an Eos R with a 24-70mm in the side access and a 16 inch Macbook pro as well as a 13 inch M1 in the back. All this plus a bunch of hard drives from a project we are on. With all that the zippers haven’t even stretched the seams.
The hard top is missed though.
      Thanks for the comments!
