I was in Toco as a child in 1982, I remember the waves being too rough and it was rocky. We camped out overnight. Never visited since.
@Csi807 I must agree with the ocean being rough in Tobago. I'm not a strong swimmer and I did not feel comfortable at all.
@Csi807 yes the waters can be a bit rough. Alot of the times we just visit to relax in tranquil scenery

Sorry for the late response but yes there's a beach about 5 minutes away where you can bathe. This resort is on the route to San Souci

Yes Trinidad is more on the expensive side since our economy is based on the energy sector unlike unlike other Caribbean islands which are based on tourism.
Jamaica is much more expensive than trinidad that's no debate
