    Chooch, the jeans are a perfect fit; you shouldn't size down. The knee pads are adjustable. Turn them inside out and you'll see there are more velcro strips to adjust for your size.

    Chooch, attach the Leatt knee braces with the attachment medially. In a fall you often have the lateral knee contact with ground which can dislodge the straps. Anatomically it’s difficult to fall and have your medial knee scrape across the ground, so that’s where you put your attachments to your straps

      Please describe further...

    • @donaldbucklin8411
      @donaldbucklin8411 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rob8855 the latch that you use to put on and off the knee brace is more protected if on the medial side. Its harder to scrape the medial side against pavement because the other leg is in the way. So to reduce the risk of the knee brace from coming loose, just when you need it, put it on connecting the straps on the medial side (the side that faces the other knee).

    I took your recommendation on the LS2 helmet in carbon black with some 100% goggles as well. Really looking forward to using them. I whole heartedly disagree about those wrist guards as they don't let you flex your hands to hold a simple Chai tea and that style hurts my wrists after a few minutes because of that.
    Flatland has the right idea and I think Lazyrolling is making their own version for riders. 😁👍

    I need to wear at least a pair of glasses. I often get hit in the face with insects and such. 2 days ago, I don’t know what it is but it was big and quite solid, like an inch away from my eyes.
    I have goggles but it’s always hot here and I have to get used to the lower fov, some shades would be good

  • @chodkowski01

    I look at the different sports as well. I found football girdles give me the extra padding in the right places I need.

    Thanks for the EUC fashion show, & awesome videos. I had fox kneepads that are a little too big, I ended up picking up some leatt pads, they offer much more protection, dual axis knee support, but the labels are obnoxious. As for the shoes, It's so difficult finding a flat/zero drop moto boot, going to do more research on that.

  • @alexarkhangelskiy6302
    @alexarkhangelskiy6302 ปีที่แล้ว

    Moto shoes with ankle protection are critical if you crash and tumble. Ankle injuries suck and take a while to heal. The Alpine Stars Faster 3 have ankle support and there are some that look like regular high-top shoes. They're great! And have waterproofing. The ones I have are Alpinestar Drystar. They're comfy and look like normal shoes.

  • @alexarkhangelskiy6302
    @alexarkhangelskiy6302 ปีที่แล้ว

    As for jeans. The best ones in my opinion are by a company called Uglybros. They have kevlar reinforcement and have hip and knee pads that are that same 3DO material that hardens on impact. Super comfy jeans, bought them for motorcycle riding. They feel and look like regular jeans but just a bit heavier because of the padding. I'd check into those as well. Not cheap, but really nice quality.

    • @ssoffshore5111
      @ssoffshore5111 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just checked them out, you aren't kidding they are pricey!

  • @cjam3660
    @cjam3660 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    there must be a type of plated bottom soul in the shoe, injuries acteueally splitting the bottom of the foot as the EUC crashes onto the foot. The Dr shouls 1/2 soul foot insert with plastic heal to end of the foot arch gives you some bottom foot protection and still allowing the foot to still feel the UEC ride.

    From the research I've done it looks like different types of helmets are better for different speeds. For example for speeds up to around 30mph, a DH MTB helmet is the safest, but for speeds above 30mph, a motorcycle or MX helmet is safest. And for those helmets, the ECE certification is better than DOT certification since DOT is more intended for crashes at higher speeds that you would encounter on a motorcycle, so would be too stiff for lower speed impacts.

  • @Skrippykrotangler
    @Skrippykrotangler 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Those LS2 helmets are really nice, but I decided to go with a full face visor helmet off Amazon. It's the ILM Z501. The graphics choices are pretty sick and you can buy a different colored visor separately if you want to diversify your color scheme even more. I got Legend Pink with a green visor. It comes with a pink visor and a clear visor. Chooch Rules EUC with an iron fist!

    Nice….love my Leatts, BOOM!, as you said they do their job! Had a really hard crash the other week and Im so grateful I had these on-
    Great shout on footwear issues and EUCs, the foot plates really bite your ankles too sometimes and yes, Alpinestars Faster are pretty grippy, i love the flatness better than skate shoes. My absolute fav footwear on my EUC in terms of a riding sensation and absolutely nothing to do with safety are Vibram five finger boots. Man, if they were made just a bit more sturdy on the upper foot and ankle, the level of sensitivity under your feet is just crazy amazing, they would be a very nice EUC boot….though you do have to wear five finger/toe socks too!

    I shattered my wrist riding my e-scooter. been looking for good gloves with wrist protection now that I am recovered but I find that the wrist guard prevents me from solidly gripping the handlebars which is no good. do these gloves allow you to grip the handlebars properly on your scooter or have you only used them with unicycle?

    Aye Chooch lemme know your honest opinion or anyones if you see this. I’m getting the S22 and it will be my first time riding a unicycle. I’m really curious if I should get the “Heavy duty pads” or is that gonna add more weight and make me struggle getting used to the top heaviness of the S22 as a beginner. Hope this made sense. Anyones opinion is really appreciated.

      Hey there- that’s a very cool wheel to get as your first! Believe me everything’s gonna fall and everything is gonna get scratched and bashed.
      If you want to preserve your wheels looks get that baby protection tape, use some card and duct tape. Yeah it looks crummy but it will minimise the damage in the first few weeks. As for your body- buy the best you can afford. I’ve got a Demon body armour jacket basic, not with D30 but I had a nasty crash two weeks ago and mashed my elbow and shoulder. It’s still very painful. The padding must have helped but I now need to upgrade. Wanna get the grade 2 heavy duty Lazy Rolling armour
      honestly coming off can really do damage and now I know it!!! Chooch isn’t doing a bs marketing job, he’s serious. Get good quality gear because you are worth it.
