    1. God will help you to focus more on your own character development than anyone else’s.
    2. God will help you become the one by transforming you into the person YOU would want to marry.
    3. God will help you become the one by helping you fulfill the biblical roles of a wife/husband
I provided the three points stated but ensure you still watch the full video ☺️ God bless you.

The first one really resonates with me. I've really been learning a great deal about myself, being my personality, talents, abilities and character, and in particular, focusing on how to address my shortcomings.
This leads to the second point in that God has been transforming me into a more understanding, empathetic and compassionate person.
In relation to the third point, God has been revealing to me what are and what are not the roles of husband and wife, as well as what marriage means and does not mean concerning what a person can do.

@@young7670 sorry for answering just now but i just saw your comment. First and most of all I believe ee need to find out safe place in Christ to be reconciled with Him and to put our trust in Him. To be satisfied in and through Him. Then when the time is right, He will add everything else we need. And there is no greater joy than that when you see Him working in your life. So i would encourage you to get close to God, if you didn't, Ask Him for forgiveness of your sins and find a good, scripture based church and let God lead your life

    1. God will help you work on your own character development

    3. Equipping you to be a husband or wife before you even meet your future spouse

Something that has helped me is to think of it as "the right man for me" rather than a "perfect one". And God has been helping me to become right with Him first so I can be the right one for a man someday too. And one really good way to develop that in yourself is to ask yourself "how would I feel if my husband was doing these things?" It works both ways.

Relatable. Lately, it’s felt like God has been leading me to embrace a sort of “if you build it, they will come” mentality, so to speak. Focus on becoming the right one for the type of woman who I’d want to marry, and that should help us find each other. Thanks for this.

So true! It wasn’t until I submitted to God to help make me into the person I wanted to marry, did I know how to ask the right questions. I had 3 guys pursuing me and it was so easy to make a decision after I spent time asking questions to uncover whether or not they possessed the same Biblical values I did or were they contrary. For example, I have been abstaining from sex until marriage, but two of those guys boldly told me that they are and will participate in premarital sex. That’s process of elimination right there. The guy that I have chosen to move forward with had all the exact same Biblical values that I uphold and would never have to force him into abstinence, he already lives his life that way. All we need to do is ask questions, people will tell on themselves every single time because they can’t hide from who they really are. I’m so happy that I took the time to become a wife so that my husband and I can easily find each other.

Mark, this is all so true! You’ve hit the nail on the head! I’ve realized this in my own life recently as I’ve realized (I believe) who God intends for me to marry in the future, but I also see how much character development I have to undergo on my own. When we are in a relationship, we are focusing on meeting the other person’s needs, but we have to grow our character on our own so that our actions are for God and our focus is on Him BEFORE bringing another into our lives to take care of. This is just a witness to the power of the Holy Spirit, and how he reveals these things to me and to others through the church, our experiences and scripture reading. I hadn’t seen any of your videos about meeting “the one” before now, and still, God revealed these things to me by the Holy Spirit. It’s incredible how our God works!!

I met the man that I do believe God designed for me, but I also had a subtle yet firm "now isn't the time". Almost like a parent telling their kids "this is the prize, but in order to get it this is what you have to do". I have experienced so much growth in the last 2 years and I'm more focused now on growing more in God that I'm not even focused on the man. In God's time it will happen. I know my lesson right now is patience (because historically I've had none lol). This video came right on time

I think this video has some good advice. Far too many people want the "perfect" person (which doesn't exist) and not striving to be the perfect person themselves. It's unrealistic to have certain expectations for your potential partner while not elevating yourself to meet theirs.

    • @ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger
      @ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger  ปีที่แล้ว

“All things” means “all things”. God’s sovereignty is not refined to just salvation…. But like salvation, this doesn’t mean human choice is removed from the equation. We have be theologically consistent

  • @rickybobby9797

In addition to the items mentioned here it is absolutely imperative that BOTH partners have the ability to “negotiate” with each other. The studies show, as per the Gottman institute, that relationship issues never actually get resolved but the successful couples are the ones that can negotiate with each other. So if you want something from someone else you have to know what they want while bringing both up needs/wants at the negotiating table.

The problem for me now that I'm in my 60's is that I get excited and focused on a particular man who is showing interest in me and who IS a born again Christian living for the Lord. Those prospects are so few and far between. HOWEVER, just because we are both Christians and going in the same direction, does not mean that our lifestyles are compatible. Example: He likes to travel in a group witnessing for Jesus, but I am more of a homebody who God has called to be available as a support person /grandma to some grandchildren in my life without active fathers. We really have to soul search about who we connect with at ALL ages.

There’s nothing more purely “the one” than Gods plan for you. He will bring that at the right time, in the middle of your mess. That’s my testimony. We’re taught to dismiss people in church which is wrong teaching. He leaves the 99. We keep God first and we let God do the rest. My girl wasn’t walking with God when we met but she had a strong history with God and he used us to call her back. Circumstances are something to consider but overall we can’t dismiss everyone who doesn’t look like our western standard of Christianity. Listen to Holy Spirit first. If it’s of God, it will draw you closer to him.

Another good point about relationships and marriage. We only have control over ourselves and therefore must put in the effort to be someone of godly character to attract a person of the opposite who also has godly character. Then when both people who have godly character come together in marriage, they will have the mindset of focusing on GOD'S ministry, purpose, and mission to glorify himself through the marriages and families of his people. For we all created to glorify and love GOD. To the LORD thy GOD be the glory! Amen!

Tbh I know and believe that I can't be a godly husband or boyfriend if I don't overcome sexual sin.. NOT premarital sex I've never had sex and don't intend to until I'm biblically married. But other forms of sexual sins has been a problem for years that I've recently been improving on. But still every week there's at least once or twice when I almost cave in. Then I tell myself repent repent over and over again until I overcome it. I'll continue to pray that God gives me the grace to overcome sexual sins and I know he has been due to there being a lot of times where I've avoided it. But I still have that slight addiction that I must overcome in order to be the type of person I'd want to marry

I've been there. I struggled with that stuff for years and years. Three things that helped me tremendously (I haven't done that stuff in a couple of years now):
      1. Realizing it's probably not God's will/job to remove the temptation or desires. It's on us to reject the temptation as it comes. He provides a way of escape from every temptation. If we submit to it, it's on us.
      2. Find out your triggers. Avoid them 100%. Don't just "not look", but don't even go to the place you see those things, if you can help it. If you like scrolling through Facebook and you get tempted every now and then by a photo, avoid Facebook. If you watch Anime and get tempted by the skimpy clothing, avoid Anime. Etcetera, etcetera... Eventually, you may be able to go back to those things, but odds are you won't want to.
      3. Resite the scriptures when you get tempted and remember what Jesus went through to give you forgiveness. The " but I tell you, whoever looks upon a women and lusts for her, commits adultery with her already in his heart." was the one that stopped me. This is the same tactic Jesus used when He was tempted by the enemy.
These things may seem too hard to do. I get it. Do it anyway! Every time we sin against God, it's as though we are hammering the nail through Jesus' hand/foot ourselves. Is ten seconds of pleasure worth that? To someone who's offered endless grace and love towards you? I know this may be a harsh/bold word, but it's what I needed. Maybe it's what you need too. May God give you wisdom!

Is ten seconds of pleasure worth that? To someone who's offered endless grace and love towards you? Will your future spouse be proud of what you are doing? I know this may be a harsh/bold word, but it's what I needed. Maybe it's what you need too. May God give you wisdom!

thank you for this! it reaffirms what I have always felt to be true. Unfortunately I am still trying to find a Biblical husband at the age of 48. Yes I have made mistakes along the way but now I am at a point where I am trying to teach my adult sons about marriage before they enter into that sacred covenant so they don't make the same mistakes I did. So your teachings make this very clear and I plan on sharing them with my sons. Thank you and God bless!

I believe that if God is sovereign and He is and He has specific plans for us as He does then it’s also inevitably exclusive, meaning His plan is one, and everything in His plan is one! ..not multiple choices and not up to us. Once we are surrendered to Him then there is no plan B.

God showed me that my immaturity in relationships stems from perceived rejection by my father. As an infant I accompanied him on many of his house calls. Then one day it stopped because he changed jobs and I started school. I felt he rejected me and where once we were joined at the hip, our relationship deteriorated and never recovered. He's dead 21 years now and I discovered this just over a year ago. It brings me to tears thinking about it. He loved me so much and I treated him so badly. The lesson is learned now and I wrote him a letter forgiving him. Point is I understand this flaw now and think that the Lord has healed this wound. That's a bit off point really I suppose but I needed to say it. Yes!!! There are lots of areas where I need to improve such as procrastination, home improvements and so on. The fitness and grooming is up there with the best of them and I'm more conscious of the need for evangelise and work for the Kingdom. We're not there yet but we're getting there. I'm 64... but age is just a number. 😇

This is very true I've realized it also before this video was made. I realized people generally settle for someone similar to them. This fact is why I rejected certain women but also why I was rejected by certain women. I came to the conclusion about myself that I needed to change some things about myself if it's in my power to do something about it. Being equally yoked is not just a spiritual thing but it counts in being attractive to the opposite gender too I'd argue. That's why I try to dress nicely because I'm interested in women who also dress nicely. I have a preference in style and design for almost everything from architecture to attire. I'm not perfect though. I need visit a dentist soon and I've always hated my lean arms.

That’s very beautiful Sir, the way you explained in depth about finding the one & how we should first not judge others, find the ‘one’ in us second then Once we start to love ourselves more & realise “we love ourselves so much that” we would marry ourselves! that’s when (maybe most likely) I believe the Holy Spirit will make it very clear who our husband/wife is & unexpectedly…they make a whole effort to get to know this Proverbs women God has been training us to be.
Really encouraging brother. Keep flowing 🦋🙏🏾☝🏾🔥
