The stock cam is pretty damn good. It was good enough for us to run 10.5@132 with a bolt on c6 ls3. And we made as much as 470whp with a bolt on 5gen ls3 1le.
How the hell are you getting 470-490whp with only cam headers and intake porting?!?! 459 comp cam or sloppy stage 3 on ls3 and headers make barely 400whp at 7000rpm I cant see how you get 470-490 without head porting! Did you do anything other than cam intake headers??
Buy a lsxr 102 and port match the lsxr to your heads. I have Texas Speed heads and a big cam. Thats what im working. Porting is definitely worth it. Im posting my work on my channel.
I always liked my fast 92 Tb on the stock intake even on my 418 stroker. With 4.10 gears 1.5 sixty foot's with a heavy f-body! My stock ls3 vette vert loves all the exhaust work I can give it. Kooks longtubes with race cats, 3" pipes all the way back and loudmouth pipes 2 1/2". But the ls3 computers hate heat and I'm in Florida. 08 vette on Toyo 8008r's 60* BMR dragway 121mph 11.8, 1.9 60 foot. 121Mph in a loud convertible blew my mind lol. I should try leaning it out with some 87 octane lol but the computer might smell what's in the tank :(
I'm wondering if a ported intake on my l92 would help my cam is 220/232 .600/.600, 112 LSA I have the stock intake on it and trans had a 26-2800 stall converter on it. In my 07 escalade. Currently have shorty headers on it been thinking about long tube headers but still run cats for emissions
Long tubes will definitely give you the best most noticeable gains especially in the top end with your setup. With your cam you should also see a decent gain up top but also improved throttle response with a ported intake. Although the weight of the vehicle might mask some of it.
Good info,,, keep it coming Bro.
Great information definitely helped lead me in the best direction for my setup
I have a 6.2 with a f35 cam in a 4 door truck been debating on porting the intake

@@FirstLast-tx3yj attention to detail is how. The cam and heads were stock. It's pretty silly to put port the ls3 heads on a 6.2.
Ya dont i believe it...ls3 cam is weak. You aint running 10.5 in a stock cam..lol. Even long tube headers and intake...
@@FirstLast-tx3yj agree...a big cam is worth 60hp..stock ls3 cam is weak. If this was a thing more guys would do it and NO ONE RUNS A STOCK LS3 CAM!
@@GETLITUP69 well i guess attention to detail is worth 50whp😂
If he admitted that it had a cam i wouldve been okay with that
How to port stock intake to make it equal to or greater than fast intake.

Nice video thanks for the data but I have a question how much would be to port my intake
2015 camaro ss LS3

@@GETLITUP69 If your really racing with solid's, strokers, gears and stalls try the mid runners! Don't forget to use electric cut outs too.

@@c5natie1 90mm or 102mm throttle body?
Found you bro
so could I technically port my intake from the inside without opening up the mouth of the intake and leave my 92mm throttle body and be fine?
I don't think it's worth it unless you really like to spin it up to 6500 rpm in first gear. The Fast 92 is a peach!
