As an arsenal fan I have to say Mainoo from the small amount of games ive seen him in has a high footballing IQ for this age and will no doubt be a baller as a 8 going forward . He has great ball carrying and passing ability and he can dictate dictate the tempo of the game knows when to slow things down and retain the ball or go forward and creates scoring chances for his teammates. He has great vision and fairly precise distribution.On a defensive contributions level he is timely with interceptions and tackles. His adaptability to different positions is also on a ridiculous level and has bags of agility in tight half spaces as well as amazing composure for this age. I cant see him failing at united he seems to be getting better and better in every game I see him in and doesn't shy away in difficult games and big games . United just need a certified 6 really like Amadou Onana which I hope arsenal can get.

Kobbe mainoo is different from typical English midfielder. Bellingham, Rice, Phillips, Henderson etc are in a way a very similar player. Kobbie Mainno is like Scholes, Wilshere type player, who is very different from these players.

It Gareth Southgate had a legitimate excuse to not play Kobbie, he doesn't now. Kobbie Mainoo is absolutely extraordinary, ready not only as a squad member but as a starter. Levi Colwill needs to be called up. Might be the only left footed CB in the entire team. Even if he doesn't start the expiremece of just being there and practicing with the team will be instrumental to his growth and development both physically and mentally.
Colwill is injured. If he wasn't he'd probably have been called up like he was to the last 3(?) squads. Branthwaite is left-footed and is in the squad, quite possibly because of Colwill's absence.

Yep,, u are right , they brought in Owen in 98, they brought in Rooney 2004 and u might as well bring in Mainoo for 2024.. But here is the thing,, the press will pile on so much pressure to win this tournament just like in 98, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2014 and laid off for 2018, 2021, 2022 and did quiet well but now they are piling the pressure on these young players yet again..
100% he should go to the Euros, I fully expect him to call up phillips and henderson instead. Getting your hopes up with southgate to do the right thing will leave you with burnt fingers and disappointment.
Players like Rooney and Owen had good stats to back them up at youth level. Mainoo is fairly fresh. He doesn't get in the starting eleven at the moment but could be a good bench option. If everyone is fit for the Euros he may just squeeze in.

Rooney and Owen were strikers so their "stats" would look good. Mainoo is a midfielder with a completely different profile lol he is a dictator and his stats for his position is actually pretty decent.
