    Awesome as usual! ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥Lot's of workflow tips and tricks in this tutorial. I've since purchased your Surface Modeling Course and once completed, I plan to purchase the Industrial Bundle. I can't thank you enough for getting me jump started with Plasticity - as I am using it in conjunction with Rhino for reverse engineering projects. Keep up the great work.

      Hi PorscheMonster,
      Super glad to read your comment. Happy that my courses are helping you and supporting you on your Plasticity journey. That's always my main goal!:)
      Rhino is amazing, would love to tets it out one day, but have to focus on Plasticity right now. So I am sure that your workflow with the combination of them can get really strong.
      Enjoy your day

    Why do you need to use edge of face geometry to create the very first loft and you hide the two other base splines?
    How can I trust that splines are giving me correct shapes later on with this knowledge?

    how are you making the object translucent? i thought it was with "selecting the object/sheet, press "M" and change opacity" but nothing happens when i adjust the opacity.

    • @nikita.kapustin
      @nikita.kapustin  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you have to click the top-right sphere/circle first to get into "render-mode"

    All your videos are amazing and captivating. Basically selling plasticity for them at this point.
    I have to ask though, what's the benefit of surface modeling specifically? As someone who is new to 3d printing, it seems like it's really easy to make a mistake and end up with a non manifold object that you can't resolve.

    • @nikita.kapustin
      @nikita.kapustin  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for your feedback, very glad you find them helpful!
      Surface Modeling has many benefits:
      - full control over shape & form
      - ability to model almost any shape (simple & complex)
      Mistakes always happen, but if you have a thoughtful, solid surface modeling workflow and you keep organized you can always come back to previous stages of your modeling and remodel things.
      Ot better: Try to give your best from the beginning on so you don't have to come back in most cases.

    Is there a way to offset the face in another way than 30:35? My offset only wants to go outward and not inward.

    • @nikita.kapustin
      @nikita.kapustin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes there is a work around, which is a bit tricky to explain in text but I try.
      You have do duplicate the whole sheet and then just bring it with "G" a bit more inside. Then you have so scale it with the freestyle command on each side to bring the edges on the top, bottom, left, and right to your desired place.
      Otherwise, scale it down, extrude the edges and cut them in the left/top view into half so you can mirror them.
      I might do some videos on that in the future, as it's better shown via video.
      In my premium surface modeling courses I am showing those techniques.

      @@nikita.kapustin Hehe thank you for your advice I tried by just scaling it in and it worked alright. I will look into the solution you mentioned here, very much appriciated! Great tutorial!

    At 16:35, you say "G2 doesn't work obviously." How can you already tell that G2 will not work? Are there certain types of geometry that simply can't support G2 continuity?
