There's a trend here. LEGO always has to include either bike shops or pizzerias in at least one of their sets each year.

City Corner is being re-released this year also, separately, a pure re-release of the original with apparently no changes.
Hey Jang, I believe that Lego torso first appeared in the Lego Creator Lighthouse Island set 5770. Released in 2011.

I did nt buy it,
already had the other crane, your comparison was smart thinking,
I mostly buy by pair, so, it made the venture expensive
for only a few exclusive parts,
a new fig design could have been included,
the bus looked bad for me, and I already have the 2009 corner,
and other than profit, I can t see why the designer choose
to set a different sidewalk standard than the logical 6' wide from the modulars.

I like the pizza plaza personally. Its small, but I think its effective, quite effective. I think it does its job well :)
The glass pieces in the pizza shop look like the airport parts from the 80s...they were yellow but they just changed the color.
Hoping they remake this set soon. Seeing it go for $250 on eBay.
This set is so fun... so much to build and so much stuff, I think it actually worth every penny. Too bad I don't have the City Corner set (7641) because it was already retired when I started to build my own Lego City, but this alternative is excellent! This is a must have for Lego fan, especially if you are building a Lego City! :)

great review Jang, I got this set for $136.00NZD on sale, so I got it cheap, I think it retails for $170NZD normally, the classic motorbike in this set I also got in set 7306,

the 2nd set that had the orange jacket was 2014 camper van
The motor bike that came with the set first appeard in the lego indiana jones series, I belive it was marrtys bike.
I prefer this over the older one, I think.

I prefer this set over 60097, the set I'm talking about is the "City Centre" for the summer of 2015, cars were ugly, the auto house is very awkward, the LEGO store looks good, but is way to out of place, flatbed truck was great, but I do prefer the 2013 flatbed truck, the tram in my opinion is just awesome. Iwould replace the auto house for a bank, and replace the yellow pickup truck (NOT THE LEGO TRUCK) with a armoured truck and a police car, Overall rating for set 60097 4/10

The City Corner re-release this year will be a pure re-release, identical to the original. Old one was #7641. New one is 60031. You can see them at Brickset (dot) com.

i like to pull up the newer sets on lego.com in the next tab to look at the price and official purchasing info and so on and treat your reviews like you're convincing me to buy it. some times its effective and i go for the buy, other times I feel its not worth it.
