I have a stamping platform like this (perhaps another brand, not sure) and I have the Tim Holtz platform (which I barely use). But I am glad I have both. I got the cheapest set of sticky mats (6 pieces) for a cutting machine, like a cricket, and cut one it in seize for both platforms. Works absolutely great. When the stick doesn’t work anymore I clean it with a baby whipe, let it dry and the stick is as good as new. Works like a charm 👍
I have the same Stamping platform and had regrets buying it has i was not getting good stamping. I am so glad I tried this a game changer, thank you Natasha. Stay well from South Africa
I have this platform as well as the Tim Holtz one. This by far is my favorite! I’ve was using sticky grid mats even before you mentioned them. One thing I do is put the protective sheet back on right after stamping because if I don’t all kinds of unwanted stuff gets on there. Especially embossing powder 😁.
Thank you for your videos. I agree! This is the best, most economical, never fail stamping platform, for sure! I looked for a replacement platform after first buying the expensive mini-Misti and finding it too limited in size. I then saved up enough to buy what I now know as the overly hyped, original Tim Holtz one. Upon initial use, I became seriously frustrated with myself thinking the problem had to be user error because I couldn't figure out how to get a smooth, consistently inked impression. I finally realized that the thick two-sided cover was manufactured incorrectly and the quality control was off when the plastic was made. The cover is slightly warped in spots keeping especially the middle part of the platform from making even contact with the card stock. I was thrilled when I found this stamping platform and it is now one of the most essential tools in my craft room.
Oh my goodness, Natasha, there are so many things that you have learned and are willing to pass onto us. Such great tips that only experienced crafters would know. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience 😊

Thanks, I needed this info! Have you ever found a stamp that was too thick and stamped it’s image before pressing the lid down. That is always my fear that it will ink before I’m ready.
I had been a Misti fan but using the sticky sheets instead of magnets and not having to put a mat in or out for different stamps made me a convert. Thank you so much for making us aware of this item!
Out of all the stamping platforms I own. (Way too many 🤷🏼🤦🏼). This one is the one I always reach for! Getting the sticky sheets was a game changer. Thank you ❤️.
Hi Natasha, thank you very much. I have the Lincraft Makr platform that has centralising magnets for the lid instead of hinges. I put my Sizzix sticky grid sheet in yesterday but discovered that I need to trim the left hand edge in order to line up my metric/inch ruler at the top. (I prefer to work in metric.) Hopefully I’ll remember next time! Love your channel, thank you for your inspiration!
I have a Misti (do not like it. Paid a small fortune for it too.). The lid shifts slightly sometimes when you put it down and it would blur the image. I bought this one a few years ago and it’s the only one I use. Actually have two of them. One of the buttons was missing, took a photo, sent it to the company and they replaced it. Told me to keep the old one and it works ok with just 3. I have used the sticky grid On it since it came out, but cut the size Tash uses into 4. I place my paper in the same spot, so don’t need it covering the whole platform. I also use a stiff piece of plastic and place it over it when I’m done to keep the junk off of it (emboss powder, whatever). Works great!
Well, well, well ... so I now have one of these platforms on order and will be selling my other 3 brands of platforms. Thanks Tash. And I don't know about the rest of you but I have never purchased a single roll of washi tape so I guess I will need a roll of that too. I AM going to try to cut one of my Cricut mats down to size and tape that into place just as you have done with the sticky sheets Tash, and see how that works. So thanks for helping me keep our economy going.
The cricut mats will work perfectly Bonnie! and also... NO ROLLS of washi tape? How have you resisted!?? That in itself is very impressive! So glad you ordered one, I'll be so keen to hear your review!
I cut down an old Cricut mat for both of my MISTIs. It works great. The best thing about it is that you can "restick" the mats if needed. Very cost effective.

Following your advice, I purchased one of these platforms a few months ago. I have trouble to re-stamp and get very often slightly offset images. It looks like the hinges of my platform are not tight enough. Well, I hope for the other crafters that not all the platform have this defect. As a result, I mostly use my old Misti which never failed me in years and keep this platform as a backup when I know no double stamping is necessary. Interesting, I had that problem with my Misti!! Lol. The first one of these platforms o bought had a button missing, I sent a photo to the company I bought it from and they replaced it and told me to keep the old one….may want to try contacting the company with a video or something??
After seeing you use this with such success, I finally bought one through CraftStash and have not picked up my Misti ever again! I still use my TH on occasion for certain things however. The sticky sheets were a game changer suggested by someone else a few years ago, golly they make life SO much easier.. and in same are a great price point!
Ah, fantastic to hear that you really like it. They are actually so good. I haven't picked up my misti again either, and I gave away the Tim Holtz ones. This is truly my favourite. has been for the last 2 years! I'm so glad to hear someone else loves it as much!
I bought my MISTI when they first came out in Australia & it was on a super special (I don't think they realised how great the stamping platform was going to be) but the hinges in the original were plastic & mine has finally given up the ghost. Bought a cheap one a couple of weeks ago & didn't like it as I couldn't do this hack to it. A friend bought it for her DIL so I now am waiting for my one like this to come. Thanks for all your tips🙂👍
I use the sticky grid also. Have since it came out. I also use this platform. I have a Misti and it shifts very slightly when closing the lid, so I rarely use it. I cut a piece of that size sticky grid into 4. I find I place my paper in the same spot most of the time and see no sense in “wasting the rest of it. I also cut out a piece of left over plastic from a stamp and cover the sticky grid with it when I’m done, that way I don’t get “stuff” on it I don’t want
Yes! They use to sell it up until maybe a year or so ago, now they sell a similar one, but the lid comes right off, it has four magnet type corners, instead of the hinged edge, and I definitely prefer the one with the hinge!
My adult daughter bought this for me (at my request). I adore it!! I even recommended it on a FB page and got banned from commenting or sharing for 5 days! Apparently that page only allows Misty platforms because the admins have shops that sell them. Lol
I'm glad you love it, I truly do adore mine also, and have found it far better than anything else, which is the only reason that I recommend it! Eeek, sorry you got temporarily banned !l lol
I've been thinking of getting the sticky grid sheets because the magnets that came with my stamparatus stuck together and broke, and I can see how easy you work without magnets so I want in on that.
Hi, Thanks for this video. I just received my sticky grids. Did you try to not peel of the back and use washi tapes on the four side of the sticky grids. So later you could use for stamping cards the other side which would have remain new. I’ll give it a try. Maybe it will lift up…. And again, thank you so much for all your videos.
Thanks Natasha for the demonstration I wish I had known about the one you use before I bought mine. Could you possibly do a demonstration on the adhesive sheets you use sometimes when cutting out dies. I know you have 2 brands but I am confused about them. Cheers.
I have a video out not too long ago that goes through the reasons I use either of them. But i'll see if I can pop the info in an upcoming video for you too :)
I have this platform and love it and Yes I use an old cricut mat!! Sometimes if I am stamping a lot I Do use these grids like Natasha shows us because they can be replaced easier when they get lots of ink on them. I put the grid sheets right over the cricut mats...Not saying it's perfect but a great way to use those old mats!!
I have waited and waited and waited many weeks for this stamp positioner. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and did a search to see if someone else sold one. I found one by a different name which looks identical on Amazon. It’s not here yet but I’m sure hoping it works the same. It has the tab to grab it easy, it has the springs in the clear door which is hinged. Natasha I tried, really I did. I want the one you have but the US store has just been out forever. So I will let everyone know in case the one you use doesn’t get back in stock for another month or more.
i ordered one from Amazon that has the springs in it like this one...one of the springs immediately popped out when I opened the package (I hadn't even used it!!). There was absolutely NO way to get it to go back in the slot for it, so I sent it back "defective." I then ordered the Tim Holtz platform, thinking would be wonderful and have been so frustrated with it not getting a clear impression on so many different stamps! 😞 I hope you get a good one. I'd be interested in knowing what you got if it is.
@@Antfarmer I LOVE my new positioner!!!! It’s from AMZ and it’s from Artemio. It is fantastic! I couldn’t believe how much easier it was and less pressure I had to give it than my stampin up. I couldn’t be happier and the price is similar. $33? The one Natasha uses is $26?-32. At least with Amazon it’s easy to return was my thinking but so far so fabulous!
I’m waiting impatiently for my stamping platform to arrive from Lincraft in Australia after watching you use yours for a long time. I have. Stamparatus from Stampin’Up, and I did like that for the extra things it can do (like remove the plates and swap them around). But the stamping platform you show in the video looks like it gives excellent stamping every time. Now I just need to get the sticky grids!
Hi Sheryl, I've just received my Lincraft platform and it looks like the new ones don't have hinges. The top cover comes off completely. Just a heads up.
@@myrnahermann7000 hi Myrna. Yes, mine arrived from Lincraft today too and I was surprised to find it doesn’t have a hinge. Not what I was expecting and I’m not sure I like that.
@@myrnahermann7000 I’ve been using the Lincraft platform for a few days. I think I’m getting the hang of it, but I’m so used to having a hinge. My Sizzix sticky grids arrived today too so I’ve thrown them in the mix!
I didn’t see they sold the magnets separately for extra. But I wanted the sticky sheets anyway. I did just get the crocus cut type sticky mats. I noticed you link to a 12x12 but they come in a 9x12 and 8x10 I think. I ordered whichever ones I’d have to cut less off of. I tried to order from Ali but just got tired of waiting and tried Amazon. Oh how I hope it works far better than my stampin up stampsratus . If you read the comments I’ll let you know so you can guide others if they can’t wait any longer either.
I bought a cheap sticky mat for the cricut machine, cut it down and stuck it in my platform with washi tape after I saw you do that ages ago. It still works for me and will for a long time, but once it needs replacing I'll get the sizzix mats. I definitely love stamping without the magnets.
I will probably eventually invest in a platform as I aquire and use more photopolymer and acrylic stamps. BUT! ... I have loads of wooden stamps I love and can't just get rid of, and also keep receiving from the retiring seniors in my life... Does anyone still use wooden stamps and is there a positioner for those too that I've missed buying all these years? Anyone? 🤔☺
Question: I listened twice and still can’t find the name of the stamping platform. Others commented what they use but I would like to know what the one you are using is called.
I saw you mentioned in the description the platform is currently out of stock. But I was wondering if you could mention the name of the platform please? So we can keep an eye out for them. 😉
There are lots of different brands that carry the same one (they just buy the rights to the design) So the one by craft stash is literally called 'stamping platform' but there are other brands out there, so i'll do some research to see which are the current brands, and i'll post on my facebook page likely.
This stamping platform was my first big investment when I started stamping and card-making a few years ago. Mine has a different brand name (Artemio, for any Europeans out there) but it’s exactly the same machine. I later bought a very cheap second-hand Misti. In a way I found it easier because of the fixed corners. But the fact that ALL the corners are fixed is often a problem. Once I discovered the sticky mat solution (and I also use Sizzix), I had the best of all worlds and went back to mostly using my Artemio platform. So, my first big investment and I think one of my most intuitive. Glad to have that reinforced by Natasha!!
I bought this platform last year after you mentioned you bought it in New Zealand. It is great and haven't gone back to anything else. Thank you. Do you know where in New Zealand I would be able to purchase the sizzix sticky grid? All your links are for the other side of the world. Thanks.
I purchased this platform because of your recommendation. I really do like it. Thank you so much

I bought a cheap sticky mat for the cricut machine, cut it down and stuck it in my platform with washi tape after I saw you do that ages ago. It still works for me and will for a long time, but once it needs replacing I'll get the sizzix mats. I definitely love stamping without the magnets.
Yes, any of the sticky type mats are going to work perfect of course! Use what you have is the cheapest option isn't it :)
I've just received my Lincraft platform and it looks like the new ones don't have hinges. The top cover comes off completely. Just a heads up.
Yes the Sunlit (?) brand at lincraft are different! They don't have hinges. The brand changed about a year ago, which is a bit annoying!
@@NatashaFooteCreative I'll try it and see if I like it. If not, I'll buy the Couture Creations one. My sticky mats arrived today, yay.
Where can I buy the StampingPro stamp mat. Couldn’t find one on the internet.
🥰tyfs😁
❤️
What is the name of the platform? I don’t see it in your description area. Thank you so much.
Anyone? 🤔☺
Try the Stamp-a-ma-jig wood stamp positioner
TFS Tasha! Hugs my crafty & creative Friend XOXOXO
Thank YOU too Victoria :)
Do the sticky grids work well in other platforms?
I'm sure they would!
Don’t you get ink on it? How do you clean it?
I use a wet wipe (aka baby wipes) to clean mine and it still stays sticky when it dries
@@wobrien3032 thank you. I might give them a try.
Question: I listened twice and still can’t find the name of the stamping platform. Others commented what they use but I would like to know what the one you are using is called.
It is listed in the info under the video, she put a link to it.
I want to know how to get this platform also
I saw you mentioned in the description the platform is currently out of stock.
Can someone write down the name of this platform please so I can search for it. No one is calling it a name.
Hello
Hate my TH stamp platform. 😜
Thanks.
Found it at Ribbon Rose, Auckland.
brilliant, glad you found them. Ribbon Rose have a good range don't they. I'm SO glad that you like the stamping platform!
