From what've learned, I would recommend people bring 'Pool to. multiplayer game, to give enough heads up to the players so they can build to balance. I really like the example of Step into the Portal's 2 turns 4 player rush.
I've been having a surprising amount of fun running 'Pool decks with various heroes (and I play true solo only). I've tried it with 9 different heroes thus far, and it's been fun to see that a fair number of the heroes have some nice synergies with the 'Pool aspect cards, and I've actually enjoyed the additional challenge of Crisis of Infinite Deadpools, a particular challenge in the game I played where Dreadpool came in on the first villain turn. Great video! Thanks for posting it!
@@NelsonAllOverCards Actually, it's tough to choose. My most recent plays with Wolverine, though, were a ton of fun, especially with Healing Factor, Uppercut, and Blackout (amongst others of course). This allowed me to include Colossus, Fastball Special, and Specialized Training, and focus on buffing Wolverine's ATK (and healing Colossus with Blackout to keep him on the board) so that I could use Fastball Special as well.
The one thing I hope about 'Pool if for the aspect to receive some extra support with the new upcoming hero packs. It is pool, I mean cool (hehe), aspect, but I hope they will provide more options for deckbuilding.
Thanks for the shout out! And I like the different takes we have on the archetypes - I think we're mostly saying the same thing from different directions. I put this on a comment in my video, and said similar on our podcast I think, but I was initially really hyped for 'Pool, was quickly disappointed when I tried it, but it's had a redemption arc. As I got rid of the idea of what I thought it was and embraced it for what it actually is? Lots of potential, lots of little tricks and tactical things you can do! And I love that. EDIT: P.S. 10/10 thumbnail
Thanks so much! And thanks for the great video! Haha yea I am happy it is around and like the few decks I like, but I am glad there are people out there like you who love it!!
Wow, the week of 'Pool reviews! I really want to play it more, but I keep playing other things because I get a it frustrated with it, but I think with the 3 videos they came out in less than 24hrs I have a much better idea of how I'm going to give it a better try. This is great stuff, thanks. . . . . . . As soon as I can start paying my membership again, I will ask you for more 'Pool games 😅
Haha yea it was fun coordinating with Villain for the videos! Hope you have a good time! It’s a major risk reward style play which once you figure out how much to wager can be really exciting! Now I just need to figure out that wager… 😂
I definitely have really enjoyed pool! War has probably been my favorite, especially with Gambit where you can use his Thief Extraordinaire to stack the encounter deck and know what you’ll flip with war. Or with Spider-Ham because he loves the damage.
That’s sick! I’ve never built a deck specifically around a resource type and RPS (I did with domino) but that’s a super cool way to do it!! Especially because he has all those wilds in the deck
I had this discussion with another TH-camr and I'd like to hear what you think: For example, you can get a single card from a different aspect as a reward in sinister motives. If you were to pick a 'pool card, would that then require you to add the crisis of infinite deadpools card to the encounter deck despite no player using the 'pool aspect as their chosen aspect?
You do not. Pretty sure this is mentioned in the insert as some heroes can cherry pick from certain aspects. For example, Gamora or Cable. You need to choose the pool aspect to be forced to shuffle in the Deadpool set. Such as choosing it as one of the aspects for Spider-Woman or Adam Warlock.
I think it was designed with True Solo in mind, I know LOTR wasnt, so the designers were aware when they started out with this game. I do think >50% of the online community plays true solo, and that is how I play most of my games, so I feel most comfortable discussing that side of the game!
The 'Pool aspect doesn't work for me either. It's thematically so niche/narrow, only tailored to Deadpool. Imho FFG should have called it "4th wall" and should have used themes and artwork from the whole of the Marvel universe. Also the edgy, sometimes toony tone doesn't vibe with the rest of the game (same problem with Spider Ham).
What are your thoughts on ‘Pool? Is the pink aspect for you?

@@guarism0yea pool in multiplayer is way better imo, I haven’t seen that video yet! I’ll have to check it out!!
Pools good for a challenge every now and then but not every day play and i think that's exactly what it was made for
Totally agree!!

Oh nice!! Do you have a favorite hero that you have tried so far?

Between those cards and Wolverine's Recover, it made it easy to keep Wolverine's health up to get full use of the 'Pool resource cards, too.
@@johnwaynemcclung8056 oh that’s a really cool build!
Oops! I said Blackout, but I meant Tic-Tac-Toe (the one that removes damage counters from characters).

Oooh those are awesome builds! Taking that damage with Ham is super cool!
Rock, Paper, Scissors is my fav. I built a black panther deck with 50% science and it becomes 85% of time - 1 cost mansion.

When do I have to run Dreadpool? #marvelchampions #marvelchampionslcg
Marvel champions is not designed for true solo. You can tell that by a lot of villain designs

I wish Pool are lower costed, since anyway their mostly negative cards.
That makes sense!
