I started clubbing in 1998 when sundissential started at uropa in Leeds. That place was special, like once in a lifetime special. And deffo a product of the times. I get why people want to hold onto those memories but this isn’t even close. Nothing will ever recapture that.
I get that man, sadly I wasn't around then I'm only 25 almost and Sundissential is the hardest event I have been to so far, still holds that madness but obviously nothing compares to the golden years of hard house clubbing.
I remember the same place same time, it was Mr Craigs even before Europa, and yeah the early times were the best. That place was slamming back in the days, it was a real mixed crowd but looks like it's just a suasage fest now where as before it was very moxed. The tidy boys playing followed by Lisa Lashes. Looks dead in this place

16:54, it's funny that it appears that nobody's trying to dance as fast as the music's going. Sundissential's strapline was always "Harder, Faster!". The best way.

People were asking my lass my age today and she didn't know, asked her boy who guessed what was two years younger. Then she spoke to my sister who guessed the same. Then I said how old I thought I was, then my sister who was on the phone with me missus at the time said, nah he was born in 19**. So I actually checked on the tinters and gained a bloody year. Absolute win and absolute legends everyone who pegged me as younger than that. Random as fook. Where's the 29th June event at? Bet I know loads of the folk in there. Hard House community was and will always be close, people go to as many events as possible, same friendly faces. Last Weekender I went to was the same. Best people, best tunes always. I miss the "chicken dancing" so much too. Perfect style for HH.
I'm so old that I remember Mint was where an after party was held after Sunnies North at least once and they had actual Polo shaped seats. Logo, hole and all. Was a bit of a dump back then as I recall, belter sound system though. Sure I went there at least twice, maybe after Insomz too?
Hard house doesn't pull crowds like it did in the glory years but there was still a good 700+ people there, not sure on the capacity but that night was packed I couldn't even get back in the main room at points, and also upstairs was packed out.
You've got to remember that peeps like me are in our 40's and not as fast as we used to be lol. I was known as the Duracell bunny back in the day as I never stopped bouncing. Today is a different story lol 😂😂 youth of today wouldn't know about it mate. I'm defo going the next one and might go for a stomp and a gurn 😂👍🏻
