Well, im enjoying watching this restoration. Its great what you can do with them. Ive restored about 4 scanias now all 2 and 3 series and 1 v8 scania, done everything myself almost. Right now im doing an old scania 2 series. Good luck with the restoration mate. 👍
Hey Trucker Tim If I was going to buy that truck I would have got it checked out thoroughly first that's a shocking amount of rust ready for the scrap heap 🥲
2 helpful hints... get yourself a headband for camera so you can use both hands, on small stuff it stops scratches on bigger stuff can stop painful things from happening when you don't quite have a grip. rust? naaa bit of super glue, rattle can, buff it a bit good as new. super glue is what they use for structural stuff isn't it? :-)
Another excellent vlog tim 👍 that was a lot of rust on the front of the truck but the rest of it looks in good condition cant wait for it to be blasted I'm optimistic it's gonna be ok you certainly know your way around a truck stripped it down like a professional.
I grew up with my dad driving an ERF E14 wrecker with an Eminox so I've always loved them ever since, got to drive an old R series V8 with twin eminox stacks and nearly bought some just for the sake of having some even though I've nothing yet to put them on.

What should help your rust bucket is some jet wash or steam clean as it’s called aswell if I was you I look at replacing the airbags your brakes your pedestals and Airlines and air compressor and also airbags
Most likely will be Discs and then a further hub needed as Discs are probably rusted out. Also further could need a kingpin set done. You could get your Tacho removed if. You remove the 5th and apply for a private truck plate meaninf its just used for personal use

Looking good Tim especially as a single wheel tag 👍 that rusts nowhere near as bad as my old ERF that I had once,reckon it should be Matt black with loads of chrome and stainless goodies
Those screws on the top 🤣 I would drill them out and stick some rivnuts in. Even you don't use the holes it'll be sealed or for future accessories. The plus side on the front all those panels are available as repair panels
