  • A non music edit of Cape Disappointment Washington. In this there is waves and surf crashing against the rocks a over flight of the lighthouse. A very scary time where a rain/hail squall blew the drone out over the mouth. Luckily was she was able to weather the rain and hail to make it home.
    Shot in 1920/1080

    Beautiful! I lived in Astoria and Warrenton back in the 1980’s. Just one of the most beautiful places on earth!

    I was expecting to be disappointed, but I wasn't. Which was disappointing.

    Did you have any control problems with the Coast Guard's marine traffic radar up at the lighthouse?
    Just wondering....

    How come there is no barnacles on those rocks? Or sealions perched around the caves etc?

    • @GeistView
      @GeistView  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't know.
      Might not be still enough and long enough for the Barnacles to latch on.
      The seals are mostly down on the sand Islands or in the harbors. The rock there is near vertical.

      This is where the mighty Columbia River meets the Pacific, the water in there is brackish, more fresh than salt and not true ocean water. You're actually viewing where the 5 mile wide river mouth collides with the ocean. A whole different range of species occur there, no starfish, sea anemones or urchins either.
