Tim do you have tips on how to help a horse that crowds you when leading him, especially when nervous? Like a toddler clinging to Mommy's skirt. We tried sharp turns and waving the end of the rope at him but is just making him head shy. He steps back but then catches up again soon.
It is good that when he gets nervous he looks to you for help. That is a good bond. I would work on his nervousness by giving him a job that builds his confidence. Maybe some trail obstacles with scary stuff in it. You can adapt that to what he needs.
All contact starts soft and builds until I get the movement I'm looking for. So when the contact builds to the point where I go to spur thst pressure builds until I get the movement I'm looking for.
Great educational resource thanks for sharing your knowledge ❤
Interesting to watch. Very nice horse.
Watching from New Zealand
Very helpful!
Do Quarter horses have a natural ability to spin? Even Hope's struggles with the spin make my ponies attempts look like a dancing tortoise
Some horses have a natural ability that helps the spin come easier.

At approximately the 3min mark you say you went to the spur. Question: do you keep the spur on her and at the same ‘pressure’?
