Just an early example of them not getting enough focus, which definitely lead to some of their issues down the road and one of multiple reasons why they left (I'd leave to if I was getting worked like crazy to the point of exhaustion and health concerns, but didn't get featured much or felt like my solo work wasn't similar to my counterparts.) But, that's the risk you run when you're dealing with a group of 12 people, the lines get spread thin sometimes sadly enough.

He sounds fantastic, he's got lovely high notes that float, and a sweet tone similar to his speaking voice. It's fine if you're not a fan of him, but it's a little biased to say he wasn't good at anything. I mean, plenty of people didn't realize what a great voice Lay had for a while, because he too also got so few lines- and people would still argue that even now he doesn't get enough. The fact of the matter is, when you have that many people in a group (Super Junior is a great example of this as well), the lines given can only go so far, and so most of those will go to the lead and main singers. It doesn't mean that the other people don't necessarily have as nice a voice, it's just how it works when you have such a massive group of people. As sad as I am that Luhan, Kris and Tao are gone, I'm happy that they not only get to pursue their solo work and get more focus, but now other people who didn't get as much attention in EXO are getting more because the music doesn't have to be spread so thin amongst so many members. Also, I highly doubt that SM would have signed him as quickly as they did, put him through a short amount of training, and then featured him in what was to be (and what did end up becoming) one of their biggest new groups at that time if they only liked him for his wushu skills. He wasn't even considered a visual of the group, and there have been plenty of other idols that had martial art skills of one kind or another that got into groups, but those people also had other talents as well. So to say that he was only brought in for those skills just doesn't add up.
+Jongi Chan I'm not a 100% sure if Sehun is still using the cradle that creates the lisp I haven't really heard it recently but Chinese language there's a lot of pronunciations that could be hard for him and sehun isn't as fluent in Chinese as chanyeol
I do think Chanyeol is a bit better of a rapper in conventional terms, just cos his low voice suits it, but I think Sehun is sort of a cool rapper with a new kind of voice that I've never heard before. I also think it makes sense not to have given him the Chinese part back then partially because of the cradle he had and partially because he's not as good at Chinese. But I think they should've given him at least some parts to cover, even small ones, because he barely gets anything as it is.
I sometimes think if they can play the music for Kris Luhan and Tao's part but not let others replace them . But they will never do that because it's so heartbreaking and some of their fans in China will say that EXO trying to use their(3) popularity. (;_;(;_;(;_;

Some of these comments make me so sad. How can ppl say that anyone from EXO was pointless? EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT EDITING +BELLA TRAN . I really enjoyed seeing the differences in the singing parts. Even some of the dance moves were still the same as well. I miss OT12, but OT09 is killing it!! And TAO, Luhan and Kris are doing great on their own as well. They're all winning!!!
truly the spirit! I think we should accept their decisions for whatever they do and support them as they are now. Yes, we've gone through hard times and sometimes it hurts, but it's their life and we shouldn't ever grow so emotionally attached. they're all alive and doing great and just wrecking their way through rankings so that's always a good thing to see.

Some of these comments make me so sad. How can ppl say that anyone from EXO was pointless? Everyone's free to have their own opinions of course, but just because you think Kris wasn't the best rapper doesn't mean he was bad at everything else. Tao, Luhan, and Kris (and everyone still in EXO) all brought something to the table whether you appreciated it or not.
Personally, I loved OT12 and losing any of the members would have been just as crushing to me. EXO is still good now and those that left are amazing on their own too. If you're a real fan of EXO you won't bash anyone's skill or talent. THEY ARE ONE!

This makes me so sad, and I wasn't here when all of the members were still in exo, I just found out about them this year, but I've researched everything, have watched everything and learned about it all. I still follow Luhan, Tao and Kris around on YT. I feel like ever since they left, exo was burderned, hurt and have been given no choice but to work 10 times harder to insert the pieces missing from a puzzle.
