I know I am super late on this post, but in an interview, he said that he is a studio engineer. It just goes to show you that you don't need the best gear to get amazing sound.
Off his best album for those who want to hear Linc play like he can, Today Is The Day! Also features the excellent bass guitar of Norm Stockton (different than in this video). I encourage fans of jazz and funk to check out Norm's channel.
When I was a new player the internet forums made me think that gear is super SUPER important. Once I became I good player I realized what pros like Steve Lukather and Neal Schon know... you will sound like you even through Eddie Van Halen's gear and #2 "I can make any rig talk". - Neal Schon Use the neck pick up of a strat. Turn up the gain on your amp a little bit or use a pedal. Use an overdrive pedal for soloing. Practice, practice, practice. You're there.
Some legends say after he was born he never stopped crying till they handed him a Fender stratocaster
Mike Boyer turned me on to Lincoln Brewster 10 years or better ago. Mike passed a few years back. I am eternally grateful
El estilo de SRV y un toque de TOMORELLO tremendo talento
Fantastic ! Praise God
wow 🎸🔥
he played it with the guitar tuned in Eb
So... guitar players around the world have been doing that for years. Ever hear of Hendrix?
Probably because of the vocals. Anyway, sounds even better in Eb.
No wonder why it sounds funny when im trying to match him playing... thanks! Lol now I can tuned down.
His tone is my all time favorite. It's funny how people complained about the Line 6 POD hd500x but in here he's using it.
80% of the tone here is from guitar and fingers. That signal is pretty rough and that is due to the Line 6.
This gear let him play, but he plays he sounds. I can get superb tone on Line 6 Toneport gx or even Laney Mini though AUX out :))
@@markg.4952 rough? i actually liked it. :P
❤ very true

Linc layin it down!
Dude shreds
how to play like that?
John Mayer
i HAVE to know what gear he uses.
for the longest time, Line 6's POD series
Custom fender Stratocaster. And according to line 6 he uses the Hd500x. He may have upgraded to the helix. Not sure.
I’ve seen him play live with a Fractal AX8 his signature strat and a custom Shop strat.
His own signature guitar, think he recently jumped from Line 6 to Kemper

It looks like he found his Niche market.
Are you kidding me?!?!
3:30 How? lol
Wah wah
@@kvvnng 🎸👍
Why does the bass sound so bad
Justin Corgan Dude, right..?? Lol
I think it has a fuzz effect.
Sounds good on its own but doesn't mix well with Lincoln's guitar
Edit: Lincoln has the best tone ever
I think it's because Lincoln is playing in E sharp
