Hacktool Win32 Crack Malware | hacktool virus Removal Guide

I downloaded a game some time ago, and it uses the steam thing right, but just today it activated my windows defender and said its an HackTool:Win32/Crack, I did some digging in the file at virus total, and it looks like it tries to detect its a virtual machine, and injects code (most likely steam username),.

did the same thing for me, deleting the folder it was detecting it in and then restarting pc worked.

Hello Man , Thank you for your video, I recently installed Office 2019 and to activate it i.used crack named as MAC.exe something. It installed the virus in my pc and i am Using windows 11. The issue now is doing with my pc is after few minutes a CMD File automatically opens and closes it is not getting remove even if i am have uninstalled it . I did the same steps but the files you were deleting are not seeing on my pc . you help will be appreciatable.

Hacktool can create different files that can be the real malware and it put them in different folders as the guy showed on the video. I think, that's why the antiviruses are flaging the Hacktools as viruses of type PUP or PUA (Potentionaly Unwanted Program/Application). But all of them don't need to do it. Someones are just cracks, someones are real malwares. Hope that helps! :)

My friends laptop has this virus flagged and we tried to remove it with defender, then we scanned again, this time using Bitdefender and it picked it up even though we deleted it and we got rid of it again, now we plan on running a new scan and if it still shows up I have no clue on how to proceed, can someone helpmme out

Its not virus its a crack for a game it will do nothing to your computer. This hacktool is false positive (it dont have virus)

Hacktool:Win32/Crack is simply a PUA (potentially unwanted application). But the user usually wants it. Because it's not a threat… to the user. Only to the software publisher (like Microsoft).
