Saw the film the other day and am now reading the book. Li is such a wonderful person, an example to us all of how such terrible adversity can be overcome. Am trying to imagine how he must have felt when he first came to the west. It must have been even more overwhelming for his parents to have flown for the first time and to have entered into such an alien world. I'm so happy for Li that he has such a lovely family. He has obviously fulfilled his dearest wish when he was young to have been able to help his parents and brothers. Just an amazing story.
Watched movie 4-5 times. U r so lucky to have ur dance teacher in China, in Texas. Without them probably u didn’t make a top dancer. I’m so proud of u gave them credit.
