I heard Axl did Anatomical surgery on this song with this guitar solo played by May. I mean Axl asked May to play solo and he patched some pieces from some takes together in order to make the solo sound better. It sounded different from the ones May actually played. Is this a true story ?

not? Real reason I hated California was because kids picked on me in that state from 1980-1983. In Ohio kids picked on me but I blew it off. I have been all over California. You have to understand that you have to have a street smartness about you to live there. People will call you up on your smack. These days I don't hate California. I did not get Seattle. Now I do. Buildings and foliage is fine...as for the locals...hhhmmm...

That guy can sing the phone book but he doesn't have to cause he's melodic genius. He sings more like black singers who use sparse music and let their voice carry a song. That approach is rare in rock music. He has great bands and do that style of singing with amazing writing

Nah. Brian May played the solo on the demo. And Axl just let Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal play it again fof the final version.
