I'm so enjoying your channel. It's a tough time of illness and financial stress for me. Your peaceful, yet strong, energy and the beautiful settings are healing for me.

Awww I was hoping to see the inside of the house. Tudor houses charm the socks off of me. But I love your spring garden.

They rent a room within the home….I didn’t understand that do they actually own the home and just rent out a room or is it someone else’s home and she just pays rent for one room?!? I didn’t quite understand that🤔

I live in a small town (9,823 people) in Oregon. Along some streets, in the seam between the curb and the sidewalk, chicory and wild sweet peas grow. Old apple & pear trees still produce. It is wonderful.

Love this! I used to have a 20 ft.² garden in the mountains of Pennsylvania where I grew much of our food and herbs and also a 30 foot flower bed. Now I am an older lady and cannot do all of that but I do enjoy watching you. Thank you 🌿🌸🌿

I believe it fulfills a basic need, an instinct engrained into our souls to garden and bring our existence full circle.....the circle of life.

@@alexandrareuter327 - Alexandra - A foraging suggestion if I may. I noted where you went to your local garden center to select plantings for your garden. I've found many centers don't always properly handle their herbs and smaller plants as they have so many that they don't get watered frequently or suffer from lack from sunlight.
What I started doing years ago was to contact the center manager to make him / her an offer on less desirable looking plants at a very reduced rate. Consider that they are in the business of selling plants, usually in a very limited timeframe, the spring or early summer, so retailers find that plants that look less lively or sickly / droopy don't sell well. The key for you is that they don't wish to throw them if can help it but they will generally take a reduced offer over a complete loss so you can trim costs.
I practiced what I called Urban Foraging. I didn't always get everything to come back successfully but I revived enough for our garden or deck pots to make a go of it and save a bit of coin doing so. I'd sometimes chuckle over my finds and the absurdly low offers I made they accepted too.
I generally priced my offer at 25 to 30 % of retail posting and went up to 40% if I needed to make the deal but generally there isn't much dickering over the offer.
If they didn't want what I offered, I'd go back later in the week or find another center. If the plants looked a bit more worse for wear, I drop my initial offer. Remember, try making an offer for a 'flat' of sad looking plants and offer a bulk price to them. I hope this works for you too! ;-)

Garlic is planted in the fall, mulched , over wintered and harvested in late summer. Remove the scapes when they arrive to force the energy of the plant into the bulb. Harvest late summer when the leaves of the plant turn brown.

I don’t think it’s her home she’s just renting a room there I think I don’t know where she’s actually living! This was made some time ago so maybe she bought her own home idk🤷🏻‍♀️maybe she just stayed in this Tudor for filming purposes!

I was recommended one of your videos by TH-cam and was intrigued by the video name, so I checked out your channel and was even more intrigued! Saved a bunch to watch today, this is my second (shelter in the cave was first!) and love them! I am a woman of mixed ancestry who presents dark but my great grandfather was Scottish. I have been pulled to follow more channels that show mw what life is like there! Thank you for sharing! Kayla from Toronto, via the Caribbean 😃🤗🙏🏽

What is that beautiful ginkgo-like plant called? I want one. Butteries should have been called bottle-ries, that’s where the wine and ale were stored, and the bottle-man or butler served them from.
