    We'd been there through Bandipur forest while traveling to Ooty ..we saw elephants,deer,monkeys but the time we entered the forest was horrible around 6-7pm and the forest officers before entering the forest area gave us certain instructions for our safe journey. But it was a thriller journey all the way till Ooty through the dark roads of South India👍😘

    I visited Bandipur 7-8 times. And yesterday I had been to this lodge. Friends, there is nothing. I have read many such reviews, but could not believe. Unfortunately yesterday I experienced. If u r going from Mysore to Ooty, you have to pass through this Bandipur-Masinagudi forest. On the way, you will see hundreds of deers, few elephants groups, lots of peacocks, monkeys and several kinds of birds. Mainly in the early morning. This road is open from 6am to 9pm. You do not have to pay anything. But please do not stop your car and get down or disturb or try to feed them. You will be in big trouble. This particular lodge is just cheating ppl. Better stay in any lodge in masinagudi and have safari. You will see many wild animals. Although I am not guaranteeing.
    The only intention to write this is to aware that these ppl are just cheating by false promises.

    • @arvinds2300
      @arvinds2300 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Agreed. I don't know about this particular lodge, but if you want to watch wildlife, Masinagudi is the place to be.

      See its all matter of Luck. Basically people stay at JLR just because this is the only lodge which conduct gypsy safari for 2:30 to 3hrs. Otherwise if you want gypsy safari, then you will have to stand in queue in safari booking counter where only 6 gypsy are available. Its up to you. Choice is yours.

    • @amreensharik1878
      @amreensharik1878 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as sighting is concerned, may be you didnt sight single animal in 3 hrs safari or may be u r lucky enough to sight in the main road.

    • @Sabyasachi79
      @Sabyasachi79 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@amreensharik1878 not exactly. I know many things of BNP as I visit this occasionally and closely attached to many forest dept officers. They requested me not to take their name in public forum. Their hands are tied up and ministers are involved in poaching. You can get rare deers meat if you have contacts with them. These things will never be highlighted

    I have been to this lodge and done their safaris multiple times. Amazing people and a comfortable stay. Their safaris are probably the best in Bandipur. The drivers and guides are knowledgeable and keen to ensure that the visitors get more than their money's worth. I strongly recommend visiting this lodge.

    The Elephants are not taking mud bath, they are digging water after identifying waterhole,
    another omission from you is among the small group of elephants you missed /omitted the hidden baby elephant is being protected by their parents, otherwise your excellant commentary.

    • @Shreenaath.V
      @Shreenaath.V 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, Ganesh, I do think that is what they were doing. Did you listen to her narration about the weather? So it is safe to assume it is not summer season. At 5.15 a watering hole is shown with the abundance of water. The elephants were digging to eat dirt for sodium supplement it is a known behavior you may refer to this link - scienceblog.com/983/elephants-eat-dirt-to-supplement-sodium/. Also, it is very common for the forest department to dump sacks of crystal salt to help these animals.

    Great effort and we have been enjoying many of your videos. It would be even more authentic and appropriate if you could pronounce the local town names properly. For example, Bandipur is bun-dee-pura or bun-dee-pur, not baan-di-pur. And Madikeri (in another video) is mud-i-keri, not maad-i-keri. #PositiveIndia

    • @WorldGhoomo
      @WorldGhoomo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are too many languages so we cannot learn all of them and pronounce all the words correctly in all languages. These videos are only about locations and travel information, it's okay as long as information is communicated. #GhoomoWithoutWorryingAboutLanguage

    • @hp.ramesh
      @hp.ramesh 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your reply. I am not saying you should learn all languages. Just meant that it would make your videos even more authentic if you could pronounce the names of famous places more accurately. I know you are putting a lot of effort behind these documentaries. The effort for correct pronunciation should be a small thing, especially in our connected world, that too for a smart and sensitive person like you two! You could simply ask the locals and they would be glad to help you. I am sure they would appreciate your sincerity.

    • @WorldGhoomo
      @WorldGhoomo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not small effort to mimic correct pronunciation of words from different languages. I am sure I am not pronouncing even English words correctly, as native speakers might expect, neither you can pronounce all words correctly. I just do my best to communicate information about places without worrying about languages and pronunciation. Also, same word is pronounced differently by people from different geographical locations. Anyway, I am closing my comment here as I feel the point is communicated. Thanks for comment, hope you enjoyed watching the video.

    I live in Kenya and this is where the real safaris happen. India must learn to conserve and promote the wildlife tourism industry. As someone rightly mentioned, this lodge is nothing close to a real safari lodge which should be based on sustainability. The guides who take the tourists around need to be trained.
